After responding to one of the New Sailor Moon merchandise threads, I was wondering if we had a pinned topic anywhere with a master list of reputable Ebay sellers/stores (or websites in general) for SM merchandise, or if we could start one. I was mostly thinking of Ebay since the auctions can be a good way to find and save money on some of the older items. Members could also include their experiences with the seller/store if that would make the thread more useful.

If this thread was made, would it go in the buying/selling area?

I think it would go in the buying/selling section of the forum-pinned, actually. This is a good idea. I'll throw in tips once the thread is in the right spot and whatnot.

The next question is does a moderator/admin need to be in charge of the master post? If it doesn't matter, I wouldn't mind starting the topic and keeping track of sellers in the first post if that would make things easier on everybody.

A moderator or admin may not need to be in charge of the master post, but it wouldn't be a good idea to contact the moderator of the section you'll post this list in.

I'm assuming that you meant to type "would." If not, please correct me!

I will definitely check who moderates the section to ask them for more information!
