Oh gosh yes you are so right. Some of the facts are "rumors" that have been spread around the fandom for years. Some facts were like obvious things if anyone actually watched the show should know and some stuff was just wrong.
I suffered through all 107, don't think i'll ever do it again. ._. Though I'm tempted to do it and correct any errors or clear up any random things.

Should I watch the vid, if I'm told some of the "facts" are not true...yeah, the GC should make their own vid with real proven and resourced facts of the Sailor Moon universe. I might not have the time to look at the whole vid, and I'm not a hardcore SM fan, just thought it's a very good cartoon to watch.

Well i started on it, probably not gunna finish it all tonight. If you wanna type up all the facts feel free, cause i didn't feel like typing them out. xD
I italicized things that I thought were questionable or had a problem with or were unsure myself about. I'm not saying that i'm like an expert here and would like some feedback on the things i'm questioning here.
Warning: some of these may be biased cause of my opinions and feelings on SM and various other things. I also use an obnoxious amount of caps here and haven't had a chance to proof read so some things may be rather...crude sounding. ._.
My Opinions of facts 1-51!:
Note: One thing that really bothered me about this video is how they are clearly using fan subbed material (I see Sailor Moon Channels subs in there) stuff and I just find it really odd. Coming from people that work in the animation industry, I am surprised they would show support of unofficial releases.
ALSO DON'T MIND ME COMPLAINING ABOUT HIS PRONUNCIATIONS EVERY FIVE SECONDS HERE.
1. This is okay. Only issue I have is that they make it sound like its a bad thing when all the original DIC dub was doing was an English adaptation of the show, so of course things will be edited and westernized and censored to be appropriate for North American TV standards of the 1990s/2000s.
2. This is correct. They fail to mention that a lot of the Sailor Says segments were legit good advice for young girls that would be watching the episode, especially the weight loss one. No matter how corny they were, they were good messages to send to kids.
3. HE SAY BISHOUJO SOO WRONG. Maybe I've always pronounced it wrong but i'm pretty damn sure I've never heard a Japanese person say "bee shuu joe". Note: Senshi can also translate to guardian, warrior...etc.
4. OH GOD THE BAD PRONUNCIATION AGAIN. *cries* SHUU JOE WHAT IS THIS. Other than his awful pronunciation 3 & 4 are correct.
5. What would have been an even better addition to this fact about Naoko being married to Togashi is the fact that they wrote a cute short manga together about raising their kids.
6. He is correct about the manga and pretty much everything except for saying there is a live action film when rather he should say live action tv series. ALSO PRONUNCIATIONS AGAIN WUT. And forgot to mention there's a third edition of the manga. A NUMBER OF MUSICALS?? LETS TRY 31 FOR THE ORIGINAL MYU PLUS 2 NEW ONES THANK YOU. THATS 33 BUTTFACE. and SMC is currently airing online on NicoNico/Hulu/Crunchyroll thank you very much. It ONLY just started airing on a TV network. He makes it sound like its been on tv in japan for a while now. At least thats what I got.
7. THIS AMERICAN REMAKE WOULD'VE BEEN AMAZING. I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS HAHAHAHAHA. *coughs* But is correct here.
8. SHUJOOO WHHY. xD Other than that, nothing wrong here.
9. Correct. BUT HERE IS EXAMPLE OF THEM USING SMC'S SUBS.
10. Okay, but is this really just trivia or is it just like "oh haha those silly animations mistakes that happen in every animated tv thing all the time"

12. Is this trivia? or is this "hey if you are a fan and have read the manga and anime something you should've picked up?" Or am I just being snooty here. ._.

15. Example of using SMC's sub again. Fine i get it theres no official Stars sub yet but just use the damn raw or something. ALSO I REALIZE THAT SAYING THE STARLGITHS ARE MALES THAT TRANSFORMS TO FEMALE IS KINDA SUBJECTIVE HERE. It's always seemed to me that they are still female even with a magical biolgically transformed male body. There is a line in the anime that makes me feel that they are still female just inside a male body. Second, his crush on Usagi is downplayed a lot in the manga and more of a "she's kinda like our princess who i'm probably more in love with".
16. OKAY. SO. Going on from 15, first of all, from what I've always read and seen in translated notes in the original Mixx Manga is that she was SHOCKED at the change and maybe not too happy but not like super disgruntled either. ALSO they are STILL female because the male form, even though its biologically a male, is still just a DISGUISE.
17. Yes, Rei's name is the only one not written in kanji.
18. OH LORD THIS HAS BEEN EXPLAINED BY THE FANDOM. NAOKO DID NOT GO STUPID HERE. The roles aren't truly reversed. Here is the article debunking the "reversed roles" thing: http://www.genvid.com/diesgaudii/saturnpluto/new/index.html Sources are cited here so the article as far as I know is legit and comes from a well known fansite that is pretyt highly regarded in the fandom.
19. Nothing wrong here that i can tell.

21. He fails to mention that Setsuna has a ring as well. Jerk.
22. Correct. But unless you've lived under a rock or have never cared about the Japanese version just about the majority of SM fans should have gotten this one by now. ._.

25. Correct. Except random thing that's bothered me at this point, if you are pulling all your facts based on the Japanese version why are you calling them Scouts all the time?????
26. Yep. This spans across about all japanese pop culture.
27 & 28. Correct. But pretty sure anyone watching this video KNOWS THIS. ITS LIKE THE MOST KNOWN THING OUT OF EVERYTHING HERE. the fandom is like obsessed with them being lesbians. Same goes for the Kunzite/Zoisite fact. .________________.
29. Not only did Fisheye look good in "drag" but he had a fondness for targeting men as they were his "type". *coughcausehe'smostdefinitelygaycough*
30. Okay he is correct about the episodes being skipped. HOWEVER TECHNICALLY the 5th season wasn't skipped, it was purely never LICENSED so they were unable to dub it. You can't skip something that you can't get the rights too so its not really skipping....
31. If this isn't the lamest most obvious fact I don't know what is. OF COURSE IT DATES ITSELF WHAT DO YOU EXPECT IT CAME FROM THE 90S!
32. Correct. Though I'm sure i could think of something to complain about cause i just can't stand this guy lol
33. This is kinda subjective here but i don't think the cloak and gun were necessarily a concept but just like naoko having fun with illustrations. BUT i guess he's not really wrong here, i think its more how you view her art illustrations and whether or not you're familiar with her notes for some of them.
34. Forgets to mention that it was her editor (I think, someone correct me if i'm worng) that mentioned it to her. Her editor was pretty crucial to some idea choices in the forming of SM. :3
35. Okay the issue with this is I've never ever seen or heard of this before and what colored illustrations is he talking about? Why can't he show the illustrations and stuff? What is he even talking about when he says "also in Dragonball Z?" What? This whole fact is confusing and has no sources. So it makes me questionable and agitated.
36. Yeah this one is right.
37. Yeah okay....we know...if you read the manga or watched the anime you should know this lol
38. I don't even know what to say about this one...OF COURSE SHE'S THE OLDEST. This is not even a trivia. This is a "hey lets state the obvious"
39. OK BEFORE I GO ON ABOUT THE FACT, WHICH ISN'T WRONG, THIS IS SOMETHING ELSE THAT BOTHERED ME IN THIS VIDEO. THEY ARE USING FANART. (save the illustration on the right cause i believe that was posted on Sailor Moon channel back in the day). And no credits to the artist that I can see, unless its somewhere at the end...
Do you think they even bothered to get permission of the fanartists of these works if there are indeed no credts? UGH. And this is from a channel thats supposed to be a producer of animation and professional and sh**.

While not technically wrong, we don't really know what caused Neptune to awaken other than her rod just appeared and she transformed in a time of trouble (and i could be even making that part up from bad memories). I think the trivia would've been better saying no one really knows when or how she awakened but she was the only Senshi to be awakened without any known help.
42. This fact about the colors on Cosmos' fuku I guess is right? Is it actually offically stated anywhere by Naoko that thats what she intended with the colors? I mean, its probably not wrong but id just like to knwo if it was officially stated or like just a fandom thing where we all accept it as truth.
43. Again, not saying this is wrong with Luna being younger and I want to say its right, but where is this stated? Is it in the manga as a side note fact thing or what??? I just don't remember is all. Or are they just saying that in looks her form is a year younger than SM? That doesn't really make sense to me either cause in the anime she looked older than usagi to me and definitely looks older in the manga. The only version where human Luna is younger is PGSM.

46. Again not wrong BUT USING FANMADE VIDEO HERE. That video they are showing is the fanmade SailorV animated opening. I wonder if they credited it anywhere or at least asked permision... Why not have just shown scans of the manga rather than a fanmade video that is probably making people think there was an aniamted versions of Sailor V. UGH.

I am like 85% positive that Disney wanting to acquire the rights to Sailor Moon was a rumor spread amongst the fandom back in the early internet days when people were like "OMG THERE'S GUNNA BE AN AMERICAN MADE MOVIE". Plus they don't source this so I take it with a grain of salt. Also whats with his stupid reasoning with why Naoko would have opposed it? Thats the really big warning bell that this is a BS factoid. (Also small fact, Buena Vista had some rights to distrubute SM on VHS back in the day and Buena Vista was owned by Disney so, heh, Disney did have some foothold in there i guess).

I think the Cosmos colors thing was just a fandom interpretation, too. I can't find a translated Materials Collection page with her anywhere.

Ah yes, Rabbit is one, I still feel like there was another but I think i'm just being silly at this point lol.
As far as the Luna thing goes, this is one of those things where I'm bothered by Naoko's notes and her drawing style. In the manga, human Luna clearly looks older than Usagi to me with the way she is drawn. Also, it wouldn't make much sense to be actually younger than Usagi because wasn't Luna around when Princess Serenity was born in the Silver Mllenium? And also since they were just in a deep sleep coma like stasis, technically Artemis and Luna are well over 1000 years old even though their bodies haven't physically aged (yay silver crystal and magics).
And thats my soap box for today.

Thank you Small Lady for going through the video and chronicling all the errors they got wrong. I was really annoyed when they said PGSM was a movie instead of a TV show which was obvious. In regards to Disney doing a live action movie, I remember the Save Our Sailors claimed back in the mid-90s that Disney was going to make a live action Sailor Moon movie that was going to have Melissa Joan Heart as Serena and Genna Davis was going to be Queen Beryl but they eventually cancelled it because it was too expensive and they decided to make Inspector Gadget instead. As far as I can tell, it seems like this story originated with the SOS but everyone in the fandom seems to have accepted it as common knowledge in spite of the SOS's questionable reliability. Besides the blatant mispronunciations, I think what most annoys me about the guy's voice is he acts like he's some smug know it all imparting all this shocking revelations nobody ever knew before when it's all common knowledge most fans have basic understandings of. The only one I didn't know before was the one about Naoko having a degree in chemistry and that was her influence on some of the names for some of her villains.

It's been awhile since I've seen this video but did they ever mention the other manga Naoko Takeuchi drew? Like she did some skating drama manga thing and something about girls that turn into cockroaches to find their princess. That would have been an interesting fact to include in the video.

the one that drove me nuts? WHERE HE SAYS CHIBIUSA'S NAME IS CHIBIUSA TSUKINO. dude don't know the facts. her name is Usagi Tsukino, or Small Lady. Chibiusa is a nickname she got in the 20th century because she looks just like Usagi, and they couldn't go around calling both the same name without confusion. NICE FACT DUDE. grah.

That might be because, as according to Anime News Network, Takeuchi-san is basically a one-hit wonder. No other projects, pre- or post-Sailor Moon, got nearly as much attention or as far off the ground. There was one project she actually dropped and never finished after Sailor Moon. Likely because it involved girls who could become cockroaches (again, according to ANN).

^From what I understand, that project (PQ Angels), Kodansha lost a majority of her drafts and apparently that made her drop the project. I think after that she never really did any more manga.

I do like CartoonHangover . . . But this made me cringe so hard. I couldn't even get through it since it made me so uncomfortable. Considering that this is a verified YouTube account, wouldn't you think that it would be at least a little more accurate?
