Alex stood off to the edge of the group, half listening to the conversation.  Strategy was a boring topic, besides, she reached up to her throat momentarily.  That girl was strong, even with all of us, can we beat her? She glanced to Taric who seemed more interested in the lake than the current conversation.  She knows what we look like, if we don't do something now, she might come back for us.  Alex let out a deep sigh before squishing her face with her hands.  There's no point in being so melancholy about it!

"Attacking together is a great idea, but some of us aren't really used to our powers, so we'll need some practice first.  And when we are able to work together, we'll have to figure out how to find this girl as well."

Violet/ Sailor Purple Calcite

"I'm Violet, also known as Sailor Purple Calcite, Senshi of Shadows. You guys can call me Sailor P though!" Purple Calcite was a pretty big name to have to say... 

"And I definitely think we can beat her if we fight together this time," Violet said. "I mean, there's seven of us right? She's only one person, and we're all pretty strong too."

Vivi/ Sailor Green Calcite


Sailor Green ran to catch up with the others, she hated being dirty and when she de-transformed made the mistake of going and cleaning up. She heard talk of going to Mount Sakura and had an idea of where it was, she had been to a few social parties. She ran as fast as she could to catch up with the others, her efforts to keep clean had failed for she was dirty again when she arrived and saw the others.

She rushed to find a seat, "Sorry I am late, I got, uh, a little lost back there. What exactly is going on and how can I help? I am skilled with lightening if that is something that can be of any use to us."

She paused before adding, "I'm Vivi, also known as Sailor Green Calcite and whoever that enemy is, I want to help defeat them."

Taric listened lazily as people introduced themselves - he figured he could get by on their colors while in a fight, but none of them were in their colored outfits anymore, so... he kinda put a tack between their name and their voice and hoped he'd get it straight in the end. They were all generally agreeing on the same thing - that they couldn't let the one girl keep going unchecked and if they fought together they thought they could win, but he wasn't exactly hearing any clean-cut ideas on how to accomplish that task. He breathed out in a quiet way, his mouth scowling faintly. If Alex was determined to help - and it seemed like she were - then he'd better start thinking about how to end it before she got hurt. 

"Look," he said, raising his voice but not looking at anyone just yet. "Saying we're going to attack together is all well and good, but we can't just think about the offense." He turned around, leaning back against the rope railings, his elbows supported by their length. "What do we know about this Sailor Dark person? If we can put together a list of strengths and possible weaknesses we might be able to come up with a strategy on how to beat her using what powers we have at our disposal. It's not very often that a battle is decided on brute strength alone.


"So, what do we got? We know she explodes when she transforms, and can force choke people - it looked like she was using both hands for the two of us, so that could be limited to choking only two people at once. What else?" he invited, his eyes skimming the group. Honestly he hadn't been paying close attention to the fight, so he was relying on what they saw and experienced to help him paint a better picture of this person.

Leon/Knight of Ice

"She can create earthquakes," Leon added to the list of Dark's powers. He turned to face Taric. "I think that's all we know at the moment. We would need to see her action again to study her a bit more. Unfortunately I feel like we don't have time for that." Leon wish he could think of a good plan, but he has nothing.

Violet/ Sailor Purple Calcite

"She figured out my powers before I used them," Violet said, trying to add something else to the conversation. "I don't know how she did it. She was just looking at me, and then she started talking about my shadows." But practicing their powers sounded like a good idea, or at least practicing fighting together.

Mimi / Sailor Grey Calcite

"She seemed to respond when Pink used those waves on her," Mimi suggested. The tall woman hadn't found a good moment to speak until now, although she had arrived at the meeting place on time and made cursory nods of greeting to the others.

"Perhaps she's not actually evil. She looks like one of us. I wonder if she is."

She liked the idea of working as a team, but when everyone spoke of attacking... it just made her nervous. She couldn't just kill some other person. Even if it was someone with magic powers.

Vivi/ Sailor Green Calcite


Vivi thought about Purple's words as she walked back home to her apartment. Once she got home she took a long, hot shower, washing away all the dirt and grime. Once she finished she went into her room. She pulled out old journals, anything that she may have written while in a lucid state after battling. She hadn't had a chance to use her powers, she froze, something that didn't usually happen.

Vivi wrote herself a note to practice with her powers. She placed her green gem in a safe place for her to access when she woke up the next morning.

Alex woke up on her bed, limbs flying everywhere in her usual fashion.  Her thoughts visiting the meeting they had last night after the failed rave.  They had something of a strategy now, though she needed to figure out what exactly she could even do.  Even though she figured out that her color was honey, it didn't really give away much power wise.  She thought back to the day of the crash when her powers first awakened.  The only thing that had filler her mind was to protect Taric.  Even though she had been badly injured the fact was she shouldn't have survived at all.  And Taric had walked away  nearly unharmed.  So it must have something to do with taking damage. She decided there was really only one way to find out.

After eating breakfast she donned workout clothes and wrote a note for Taric.  She placed the note on his door, letting him know where she was and what she was doing in case he wanted to join her later with several insults placed throughout.  She could have just texted him but she thought it was more fun this way.  She left the house and headed for a small wooded area that happened to not be far from their home.  Her thoughts filled with the desire to protect others she began to figure out what she could do.

Violet/ Sailor Purple Calcite

After the meeting had ended, Violet caught the first bus she could find to go home, her usual enthusiasm drained by the events that night. Now she was deep in thought. Her own powers were based on shadows, she had figured that out quickly after she had first transformed to fight the bear. But she only really focused on changing the shapes and sizes of shadows, and she couldn't even travel through them voluntarily. The one time she had done it in that club was because she was desperate to get away from Sailor Dark, and she didn't have much control of where she emerged. 

Violet decided to start practicing to see exactly what she could do. The next morning, Violet got up early despite how tired she was. here would be bigger shadows when the sun was rising than later in the day, so it would be the perfect time to train.

After finding a quiet spot in a park, Violet transformed into Sailor P, and started experimenting with the shadows around her. Her connection with them was strange. It wasn't like a psychic command, more like flexing a limb. She felt the shadows in a way, and just needed to concentrate to use them. But how did she sink into them? Hours passed as Sailor P tried to trigger the ability again.

Mimi / Sailor Grey Calcite

There was always too much activity at home to get much time to think about the events of the previous night. Living with her high-school age sister felt like living with a tornado that gossiped about boys and constantly begged to go shopping. Despite her mother's full-time job, the older woman remained active and always keeping tabs on her daughters.

"Mom, Hinata--I'm taking a bath!" she announced, listening for the affirmative responses before locking herself in the bathroom. It had been a long day at work; she was still new enough to the job and company to feel constantly on the alert, unable to think about anything else.

As she sank into the warm water of the tub, she exhaled. Mimi leaned back and opened her left hand, staring at the star-shaped piece of grey calcite. Just holding it made her feel calm and relaxed. A quick search on the internet turned up that as the primary "healing ability" of the stone, but even without having read that, she would have felt it.

"Is the 'Dark' girl one of us?" she asked herself, looking at the gem. There was a clear connection between everyone at the friend-making event. They all possessed these calcite stones with different abilities. Grey calcite aids serenity and detachment from problems. Perhaps it could lend her greater mental clarity.

She closed her eyes and concentrated on the grey calcite in her hand, hoping that meditation could bring her closer to the truth.

Vivi/ Sailor Green Calcite


Vivi walked to a secluded location where she quietly and quickly transformed into Sailor Green.It was important for her to be alone, so she could concentrate. Green had to be able to focus to hone in on her powers and find a way to help defeat Sailor Dark, she wondered if Sailor Dark had ever been good or if her heart had always been evil. 

Sailor Green touched the gem on her choker, channeling lightning currents all around her. She sent one spiking at a tree in the distance, hating to harm the tree, but needing a target to practice her powers on. The tree ignited and split where the lightning had struck casing it to break in one spot.

Sailor Green felt pleased and continued to practice, but she knew she would be dirty and did her best to get as little dirt on her fuku as possible.

Amber ~ Sailor Red Calcite

As soon as everyone decided to split up and head for Mount Sakura, Red detransformed and went straight home. She didn't remember signing up to be a part of some team, and she could not afford having to move again. The last thing she wanted was to see that disappointed look in her parents' eyes.

Back home, Amber sat on her bed and twirled her necklace around her finger. She wondered what the others had decided to do at Mount Sakura, and if they would get involved in another battle soon. Her thoughts were interrupted by her mother, who opened the door with an excited smile on her face. The kindhearted woman walked into the room, setting a plate of pizza on Amber's bed. "Hey, how'd it go?" she asked.

"Oh, um, it was fine, I guess. I didn't make any friends," Amber replied, putting her necklace back around her neck. Her mother's smile faded, and her eyes looked sad.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I wish others could see you the way I do. Just remember that if you do get the chance to make a friend, don't pass it up. You'd be surprised at what friendship can do."

Amber nodded, watching her mother leave the room and shut the door behind her. Over the next few hours, she couldn't get those words out of her head. Maybe...she should try giving those people a chance. And besides, she still needed to get her revenge.

Early the next morning, Amber went for her usual morning run. She decided that she would try and look for one of those people from the club, even though her memory was awful and she probably wouldn't be able to recognize any of them. As she ran through her usual secluded route, she came into a small, normally-empty area and spotted the same purple senshi she had tried to help the previous day.

"Hey!" she shouted, walking over. She felt nerves accumulating in the pit of her stomach, but ignored them as she neared the purple-clad girl. "Uh...mind if I practice with you?"

He awoke later in the morning and rubbed his face with his hands, attempting to become more alert. Last night had happened - there was no mistake of that. His clothing from the night before had been singed from the explosion and the smokey-scented ruined shirt lay over the back of his desk chair; his mom would probably collect it later that day and add it to the box. 

The box was a collection of things she had started a couple of months ago, after the accident; it had a piece of the car in it, and pictures from the scene; she was probably filling it now with news clippings about the explosion last night. He sighed, looking at the black mess - they were going to work their mother into an early grave. The amount of hugging and sobbing when they got back last night had been insane - she had been the one to drop them off at the club, and with the police sirens and their not showing up where the other people had gathered -- she was practically hysterical when they finally made it back to meet her. 

In retrospect it had been careless of him to forget about her... but, honestly, they never would've been able to make it through the reporters, police investigators, and her and make it to the meeting Alex wanted to go to in time. He was just glad his father was off on business at the moment, or he would've gotten an earful and a half. 

He got dressed, mulling over what they had talked about the night before - about Sailor Dark, and her perceived strengths and weaknesses. That she might have psychic powers... he shuddered as he pulled his undershirt on over his head. Could she read thoughts? Or was it more just telekinetic type stuff? He buttoned his shirt, slid into his sneakers, and opened the door, half expecting to find that his mother hadn't gone to work today. 

Instead, at eye level, he found a note from Alex. Eyeing it warily, he read it over, and a grumpy expression overcame his features. His eyebrows twitched at a few of the more colorful insults penned, and he sighed gustily. He pulled the note off his door, balled it up, and tossed it into Alex's room as he passed by on the way to the woods. He was honestly just glad she had chosen some place out of the way to see how beaten up she could get, rather than just jumping off the roof repeatedly or something. 

When he arrived in the clearing, he had already managed to transform. He stared at her, one hand on his hip, and called, "What are you even doing?"

Alex was about halfway up the tree when she suddenly heard Taric's voice.  Surprised she lost her grip on the branch and fell out of the tree.  While she was discovering her abilities she had also been practicing intertwining her cheer leading moves with dodging and moving.  A "watch this" flew from her mouth and aimed towards the ground, she landed on her feet but used the extra energy to propel herself forward into a few air flips.  She finished with her hands in the air and a "Tada!"

Taric slow-clapped for her. "So now you're a super cheerleader, awesome." He didn't mention that he was a little worried - falling from that height and bouncing up afterwards should've broken bones - or at least sprained her ankle - but she seemed just fine. He paused, looking around, "So now what? Did you find anything else out, besides being very bouncy now?"

May/Sailor Pink Calcite 


After they talked for a little while, they decided to head home. May felt exhausted. The evening had turned out like those horror movies you see on tv. 

Who would have ever thought that she'd find so many others with powers similar to hers? And that woman, Sailor Dark. She was so incredibly powerful. Even with all of them attacking her, and working together, May had to wonder if they would be able to stop her. She didn't want to see anyone hurt nor did she want to see any harm come to Sailor Dark, despite what she had done. 

Was there any way to save her?

Alex stuck her tongue out in response, "Don't be jealous just cause I'm super awesome!"  A sly grin crossed her face, "Punch me and find out!"

Taric rolled his eyes. "Keep hopping around then. I'll be here for when you eventually hurt yourself." He plodded over to a tree stump and took a seat resting his back against it, checking his pockets to find no, his phone did not make it through this transformation thing. Instead he thought on Dark and the others in their group, trying to put powers together with colors and faces, and see if he could think up any bright ideas on how to best her. 

If we could draw her out, he considered, then we'd better not do it with anything under our feet. Alex could survive a fall like that, but the others? Probably not that easily. It'd probably be best if they faced her somewhere outside... In the end they had decided that attacking together would be their best bet, and to keep her attention on one or two people so she'd be focused on both of them, and no one else. He watched Alex, knowing that with her abilities, she'd be one of those people. He started feeling a little nervous, but he saved her once; he could do it again.

Alex glanced over at Taric, it had been a little while since he had showed up but he just sat over there, lost in his own world.  Let's make this interesting! Alex ran over to a bush and pulled out a bag that had fireworks in them.  These weren't sparklers or fire poppers, these were fireworks that could actually shoot off and cause some real damage.  She checked the area to make sure they were alone before pulling out a few.  She looked over to make sure Taric was still not paying attention and set the fire works up a small distance away from them.  Luckily they had long wicks, giving her enough time to run back to where Taric was and say "Trust me!"  The fireworks launched and her face turned serious.  She dug her feet into the ground and spread her arms open, letting her energy flow outward in front of her.  Earlier that morning it had occurred to Alex that she couldn't take all the damage just by running around.  The others wouldn't have her durability.  Her desire to protect many at once manifested itself before her just like now with the fireworks.  Before her was an energy shield the same color as her stone, honey.  It grew to cover Taric and herself, the fireworks crashing against it just like a wall.  She turned to her brother, her breathing a little bit heavier now, "Aren't I amazing?"

"Trust me!"

THIS NEVER ENDED WELL - alarms went off in his head before he even looked up; when he did, he scrambled backwards but couldn't find purchase, only managing to press himself farther backwards into the stump as he cried, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" 

FIREWORKS WERE AIMED AT THEM. He saw the little spark on the wicks, just beyond her crazy cape - they were lit! MAYBE SHE HAD FORGOTTEN, BUT HE WAS VERY MUCH NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE - could he pre-heal?! Could he start healing himself before he got hurt?!

He didn't even get to try. 

The fireworks shot off towards them, and suddenly, in the nick of time, an amber-colored wall popped into being in front of them, growing in size until it covered him, as well. The fireworks, now honey-toned, exploded against the wall harmlessly. 

"Aren't I amazing?" 

His heart still hammering in his throat, he reached out a leg and side-swiped at her ankles, intending to ground her as a response.

Violet/ Sailor Purple Calcite

As what felt like hours passed by, Violet was still making about no progress on her ability to fade into the shadows. Simply moving the shadows around was easy, but as soon as she tried to sink into one, sh hit a brick wall. Sailor P was currently sitting under the shade of a large tree, pushing all of her effort into fading through the huge shadow, but nothing happened. 

"Why is this so hard!?" she yelled to no one in particular, before crossing her arms and pouting. What did she do differently at the club last night? Sailor Dark had attacked her, and she had just wanted to get away. She was afraid and wanted to be anywhere but at that one spot. She didn't want the attention.... 

"Ah!" Sailor P yelped as she started to sink partway down into the shadow. Her entire lower body was submerged, and it felt like it barely existed anymore. It was numb. Freaked out, Violet clawed back out of the shadow with her arms until she was above ground again. After her heart rate slowed down, she started laughing. She did it! Somehow...

"Maybe it's...just the way I'm thinking?" As soon as Violet didn't want to be there, the shadow let her in. So maybe it was linked to her emotional state? But now that she knew the trigger, maybe she could control it better. With a new resolve, Sailor P continued working on her technique. She'd master this shadow walking stuff and then help take that mean orange and black senshi down with the others!

Alex grinned at Taric expecting some insult back but instead suddenly found herself face down on the ground.  "Ah hey that hur-ok well maybe not but now I'm dirty!" She sat up on her knees and looked up at her brother's face, a more gentle smile covering her face.  Her breathing had evened back out now, throwing up that shield was a lot of work. "Sorry I just wanted to show you what I had learned, besides you should know by now that I'm not going to let you get hurt."  Just then a growl equal to that of whale calling for help emitted from her abdomen.  "What do you say we go get some lunch now?"

Leon/ Knight of Ice

When Leon returned home, he quietly went to his room. Unfortunately his mother caught him and asked him questions about the night. The events at the rave was on the news and she was worried sick. Leon was able to lie to her mother telling her he was not there, when the place exploded. Also that he had no clue that ever happened. He told her he made "friends" and they went somewhere else to get something to eat. She believed him and he finally went to his room.

Leon collapsed on his bed. His mind was filled with the events from this evening. He felt anxious. Could they take Sailor Dark down? Why should he even care? Why did he feel like had to? The one thing he knew for sure. Tomorrow he would be training.

The next morning Leon woke up and got dress. He grabbed an apple from a kitchen and left a note for her mother. He told her he would be "out with friends" for the day. Leon headed to the park where he first transformed. He went deep into the woods and found a creek. Leon glanced around and saw no one was around. So he transformed and spent the whole morning training.

Kari/Sailor Stellar Beam Calcite

The meeting was over and Kari was still overwhelmed with everything. It was supposed to be a carefree night, wasn’t it? Where she should meet new friends… And now, the short-haired blond was lying on a secluded meadow, not sure if she should be scared or angry. The purple girl – how was she called? Sailor P? – suggested to train themselves in order to defeat the scary woman next time – but Kari was already aware of her powers and knew how to use them. She already trained back then in Kyoto. So what should she do now? Wait and see? In hopes that the woman would show up again, this time weaker than before? This was a dream, a dream to suppress reality. As much as Kari wanted May’s theory to be correct - that they could defeat her if they would only work together - deep down she doubted it – more than anything else.
 
Suddenly she heard noises coming from a few meters away. Curiously she stood up, following the noises, until she finally found a Sailor Soldier. Sailor Green, wasn’t it?
 
“Hey there,” she started a conversation in a cheerful tone. “Are you practicing?”
 
“If you want we can do it together.” Kari smiled. Talking to friends always made her feel way better.

Mimi / Sailor Grey Calcite

She hummed to herself as she towel-dried her hair, musing over her thoughts and feelings from her earlier meditation. As she lifted her head and loosely gathered the pale locks, her sister's voice cried out. Mimi yanked the door open, leaning into the hallway, her fallen hair in disarray around her face.

"The sky!" Her sister was running down the hallway, gray eyes of the same hue wide.

Mimi whipped around, staring out the window. It was so dark. This didn't make sense--not for the season or time of day. She felt the grey calcite star pulse slightly in her pocket. This was related to the events of the previous day!

"I, um, forgot something at my office," she lied, hastily wrapping her hair into a ponytail and slipping on her shoes.

Hinata quirked an eyebrow and tossed her head. "Maybe you shouldn't go out there if it's going to be weird like this...?"

Mimi dismissed it with a shake of her head. "I really need to finish this, uh, project. So I have to go now. Tell Mom it will be fine to start dinner without me."

Outside the apartment building, free of prying eyes, she slipped her hand into her pocket and curled her fingers around the stone. Show me. And somehow... it did. She could feel where she needed to go--where the dark beam that blotted out the sky had come from: the beach. As she headed in that direction, she knew that something was about to happen.

They had just sat down for a late lunch when people suddenly started reacting. Internally groaning, Taric finished his sandwich in two huge, messy bites, and struggled to chew it all before Alex inevitably dragged them towards whatever was causing the reaction instead of where sane people went: away.

Alex was so distracted by her lunch that she only looked up when she heard Taric choking on his food, about to retort some kind of insult but then her attention was called outside.  Seeing the dark sky Alex laughed, "What luck! I wanted to try out some of my moves in a real battle!"  She quickly downed her ramen and grinned at Taric.  She reached out to take Taric's arm, "Hurry, I bet the others are already on their way!"
