Appearance:
Mamoru stands tall at about 6’2’’ He has raven hair and deep sapphire blue eyes. Mamoru typically wears dark pants with a black shirt and a green jacket. In the manga his left ear is pierced. Mamoru is also known to wear many 90’s fashion hits. The shirts with the rolled up sleeves, and a long sleeve shirt with a purple are also some big hits. Mamoru is sometimes dressed classier than other young men his age. Mamoru is often seen wearing a tuxedo, one that closely resembles his tuxedo mask disguise. When he is not wearing a tuxedo, he is wearing his khaki pants, with a white button down short sleeve shirt, a red tie, and a navy blue blazer. Mamoru is also often depicted wearing glasses.

Personality:
Mamoru seems mysterious at first due to his past, and he comes across as snarky which the majority of the time is unintentional and can be used as a defense mechanism. He is not quick to let others in his life because he is afraid of losing someone again. Mamoru does not have a lot of friends, but his closest friend is Motoki. Mamoru is also well liked by many underclassmen at his school.


Mamoru begins to allow his hard exterior to fall when he meets Usagi Tsukino a girl who at first drives him absolutely crazy, a girl who he loves to tease for her hair and her poor grades in school. As time progresses, Mamoru learns more about his true identity- Prince Endymion and regains his past memories of his previous life and who he was, not only that but he also remembers his beloved, someone who had been coming to him in his dreams requesting his help in finding the legendary silver crystal.


Mamoru is rather mature for his age and he enjoys to study. Mamoru is very aticulate and intelligent. He is a skilled stragestist, Mamoru can think on his feet and keep cool and collected most of the time; however when those he loves most (Usagi and Chibiusa) are in danger, Mamoru tends to be a bit more reckless, but this is done in the interest of protecting his future wife and child. Mamoru is protective especially over Usagi, but he is also one big dork which adds to his charm.
 
Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
Mamoru has the ability to be in contact with the Earth through touch with his hand. This is referred to as Psycometry. Mamoru is also in control of the Golden Crystal. Mamoru is very connected to the Earth and can sense when it is in danger; if the Earth is in danger so is Mamoru. He is also able to sense when Usagi is in danger and when she has transformed to Sailor Moon. Mamoru has the ability to heal wounds. He is quick on his feet and is a skilled swordsman, due to his past life.
 
History:
Mamoru is first introduced under a different name, Prince Endymion, he was the Prince of the Earth and he ruled with his four generals: Kunzite, Nephrite, Jadeite and Zoisite. Mamoru was very close with his generals (shittenou) and they did everything together. Endymion was training to protect the earth and keep it safe from invasions. Things began to go south when Endymion met Serenity, a beautiful princess from the moon. He became enamored by her beauty and others around him began to notice. Queen Beryl takes notice of this relationship and becomes jealous, and attacks the moon. Endymion does his best to protect Serenity but is killed by Beryl’s sword.
 
A millennia later, Endymion is reincarnated as Chiba Mamoru a 17 year old high school student with a sad past. Mamoru lost his parents to a tragic car crash that killed both his parents. Mamoru was six years old when this happened and was sent to an orphanage until he was old enough to live on his own. Mamoru grew up to be a charming, attractive, and intelligent young man, whose life was changed the day a crumpled paper hit him on the head and he was introduced to Tsukino Usagi, a girl who he finds quite annoying. As time progresses, Mamoru discovers he has another identity Tuxedo Mask, a masked hero who is after the silver crystal to give to the woman in his dreams asking for his help. 
 
During this time, he meets Sailor Moon, an apparent ally and after months of battling, Mamoru/ Tuxedo Mask discovers that Tsukino Usagi, a girl who he thinks is a dumb, clumsy, crybaby, is the hero Sailor Moon, and later discovers he is Prince Endymion and Sailor Moon is his beloved Princess Serenity. The two are reunited for a brief moment before Queen Beryl captures and brainwashes Mamoru, and he then becomes an enemy to Sailor Moon. Some time passes and Sailor Moon saves Endymion with the power of love (star locket love). The two are reunited and begin dating as life is peaceful and happy for now, but some time passes and a new enemy arrives.
 
All is peaceful and Mamoru is enjoying a date with Usagi when something falls from the sky crashing the lovebirds date. Mamoru is shocked when he sees a girl with pink hair, very similar to Usagi’s. This girl immediately threatens Usagi and demands the Silver Crystal. Rather than checking on the safety of Usagi, Mamoru is taken in by this girl who also calls herself Usagi, he nicknames her Chibiusa because she is small. Mamoru feels drawn to Chibiusa and feels an unknown desire to protect her.
 
During this time, Mamoru is also haunted by nightmares, in which a voice tells him to stay away from Usagi or she will die. This causes Mamoru much stress, and leads to Mamoru breaking up with Usagi, but during this time, Mamoru is also focused more on Chibiusa, which leaves Usagi feeling jealous and heartbroken because he now treats her so cold. This also remains true when Mamoru fights as Tuxedo Mask, he still saves her bit states it is for old times sake. Mamoru gets a wake up call after Sailor Moon is attacked and has her life energy leaving her. He rushes to save her, which proves he still cares for her, but as soon as he saves her he pushes her away, in an attempt to keep her safe, the way he treats her effects Mamoru too, but after sometime, the two rekindle their relationship to protect Chibiusa and save her mother.
 
Mamoru, Sailor Moon, Chibiusa, and Sailor Venus all travel to Crystal Tokyo in an attempt to help Chibiusa’s mother and save the other Sailor Senshi. Mamoru meets someone , the person from his dreams and is shocked to find it is his future self, King Endymion. He is even more shocked when Chibusa reveals her true identity, Small Lady Serenity, his and Usagi’s future daughter. In the midst of all of this Chibiusa falls under wiseman’s spell and becomes Black Lady, a force aligned with the Black Moon Clan, the same people who destroyed Crystal Tokyo and sealed Neo Queen Serenity in her silver crystal. Mamoru once again is brainwashed, by his daughter who was after his affection. Sailor Moon with the help of the power of the queen is able to save Mamoru and Chibiusa. Mamoru returns to Tokyo in the present time with Sailor Moon and the others where once again all is well in the world and with Mamoru and Usagi.
 
Over the course of the next months that turn into years, Mamoru continues to grow closer to Usagi, deepening their relationship. He continues to fight alongside her. There is a time when he grows sick and he cannot help Usagi, but he does recover quickly.
 
In the Stars Arc, Mamoru leaves to go study in America at Harvard, before doing so he proposes to Usagi, giving her a ring and telling her he will return in a years time, before he arrives, Sailor Galaxia steals his star seed. Usagi becomes more and more lonely over time, wondering what happened to Mamoru, but does her best to remain strong. After many battles, Sailor Moon defeats Choas and everyone’s star seeds including Mamoru’s are reborn and when Usagi sees Mamoru who is in form of Endymion she rushes to his arms in tears, glad to see him and glad to be done fighting. More time passes, and eventually Mamoru and Usagi are married, and at the same time Usagi announces to Mamoru that she has a star seed growing (Small Lady) inside her.
 
When Usagi is 22, she is now Neo Queen Serenity and she has take the throne and has given birth to Small Lady, King Endymion rules alongside his wife in Crystal Tokyo and spends time with his daughter.

Decorator in Distress- Mamoru is 22. In this story, Mamoru is the son of the king of the land. He lives in a castle with his father and all the palace workers. Mamoru is known to be a smart alack at times and tends to not care about anyone but himself. He uses girls for their feelings and is under the assumption that everyone is out to get him and his family's fortune. He has a hard heart after the death of his mother. He tends to escape the walls of the palace to ride his horse to his secret locations where he can overlook the land. He does this to get peace and quiet but to also grieve the death of his mother. 


Mamoru was closest with his mother. She helped him see the good in himself and in others. She was the one who helped hm through all his nightmares and injuries as a kid and now that she is gone, Mamoru has become an arrogant man, unwilling to work with anyone, that is until he met Usagi the palace decorator and a girl who has begun to chip away at his hard exterior. 


While the king is away on a trip, Mamoru is in charge and takes charge of hiring the palace decorator. Usagi comes in with fresh ideas, and Mamoru is open to letting her work and live within the palace walls. He is not trusting at first, but decides to take a chance and get to know her. Being bold as always, Mamoru decides to have Usagi go against the King's wishes for constructing the governing room and move it to another location. Mamoru shares with Usagi that the reason why he is not willing to honor his father's wishes is because he doesn't want the memory of his mother to be erased. As Mamoru spends more time with Usagi, he discovers she is a genuine girl with a heart of gold, that she really wants to help and she is not after the palace riches. 


He sees a lot of his mother in Usagi, her kindness, her willingness to be with him. Mamoru was very aware of the rumors that went around about him. He was ranked as a player, a jerk, a cold-heartless man, but while some of that may be true, Mamoru began to want to change who he was. He still wanted the power of a king, but not the way his father obtained it through force and power, Mamoru wanted to rule but wanted to help those in the city, those like Usagi. He lets his walls down for her, but it was all a mistake.


When the king returns, he is angry at Mamoru for going against his wishes, but he takes it out on Usagi, accusing her of more than abusing his wishes. Mamoru discovers the other workers are being mean to Usagi and saying bad things about him and her. He becomes conflicted with what to do, his father has given him an ultimatum, have Usagi follow his original orders or he will be disowned and thrown out of the palace. 


Becasue Mamoru is still young and fearful of his father's vindictive hand, he abides by his father's wishes only to regret it when he finds out Usagi has disappeared after their last encounter when he  told her his fathers wishes.


After discovering her abscence, Mamoru burstsinto his fathers room and a heated argument leads to the king having a heart attack and dying, Mamoru fleeds out of fear, and to find Usagi to tell her what a fool he was to not follow his own wishes and honor the life of his mother. However, many heard the blow up between Mamoru and his father and think Mamoru killed the king and fled to cover his guilt. 


Now Mamoru will be faced with many challenges as he goes after the one thing that gave him meaning in life, the one thing that made him feel like he could let down all his walls and be vulnerable, expose his true feelings and the fact that he looks guilty, will he be able to return to the castle with Usagi at his side to take the throne, or will he have to spend the rest of his life on the run, forced to create a new life and a new identity still with Usagi at his side.


Mamoru has now realized no matter what he doesn't want to do this, not without her.

Tuxedo Kamen wears a white button down shirt, a white vest, and a black jacket. He wears a white bowtie, and in the manga and crystal he has a neck brooch that is shaped like an fancy plus sign. He wears black pants and black dress shoes. He also wears a black cape with red on the inside, a black top hat and a white mask. In SMC and the manga he also has the star locket watch that shows the phases of the moon.
 
Prince Endymion
Prince Endymion wears navy blue pants, with a long sleeve navy blue shirt with a silver pattern on the front. His cape is navy blue and red on the inside. His black boots come up to his knees. He also wears shoulder gear and carries a sword.
 
King Endymion
King Endymion wears almost all lavender. His cape is lavender with white lining. He no longer wears the top hat but still wears the mask. His hair is also more purple than black. He also has a gold brooch that hangs on his collar and on his right lapel of his lavender blazer.

Memories of the past
 
Mamoru had been up late studying, he had finals coming up and wanted to take them and pass so he could go home. He looked out the window and saw it was pouring rain. He got up to make himself some coffee. On the way he stopped by a picture frame, he saw a picture of him and Usagi, she had surprised him and visited on Spring break. The picture was a candid shot, and that was why Mamoru had loved it, he could see Usagi in all her beautiful charm. The picture was taken while they were having a meal, and got into a small argument, but they had not gotten mad, if anything they had laughed it off after. Maoru remembered when they had watched a movie, how they she had cuddled next to him and how she had fallen asleep.
 

He remembered how vulnerable she looked, but also how glad he was to be with her to protect her, to just be with her. It was the small things like this that reminded him of why he loved her. Mamoru was pulled back out of his thoughts when he heard the ding of his microwave summoning him to get his coffee.

Just a few things: Could you expand Mamoru’s personality to tell a little more about him? You could mention he is mature for his age and enjoys studying, is a pretty good strategist, and is usually calm and level-headed, except when those dearest to him (Usagi and Chibiusa) are in danger, when he can become reckless in order to protect them.

For Decorator in Distress’ SSI, could you describe how this version of him differs from the canon? Seeing as this is an AU roleplay, and he has a different history and role.
