Is anyone here going to preorder the boxset?

I'm tempted to get the boxset, but I have already purchased the episodes on Amazon because I love being able to stream them without ads. ♥

I really want the boxset for the English audio and the bonus stuff, but I don't have the spare money right now... D:

I want to wait until they do a full season 1 boxset. Also the fact that they cut you off on 2nd to last episode of Nephrite's arc... cruel! xD

Yeah, I'm trying to budget my money as much as possible with this new merchandise. I'm likely only to get S and Stars, since they've always been my favorite arcs. I'm excited to hear reviews from this first box set though.

@Small Lady: Yeah that's why I've been hesitant about preordering. The information on Amazon said it's coming with a "specialty finish chipboard box" to house both sets in which makes me wonder whether or not they'll do a complete season one set. It would make sense just to release a complete box set of all the seasons once they finish the individual sets. (Isn't that what most shows do anyway?) 

Also I don't understand why it's $20 cheaper on Right Stuff compared to the price on Amazon.  :bunnynarroweye

Don't quote me on this, but I want to say RightStuff had their preorder up earlier than other sites so its possible they have a special deal? Kinda just speculating on that.

I remember when VIZ first announced releasing the DVDs, they had mentioned making slightly cheaper ones aimed at a wider audience, and then collector edition type deals for the fans. I wonder if that what this box set intends to be and afterwards they will either release individual DVDs or cheaper, less fancier box sets.

I still would rather the whole season or heck, the ENTIRE series, in one box (like how it was released in Japan). But thats just me. xD

I'm very conflicted about waiting or not. I jumped on SM merch bandwagon late and have missed out on some good stuff so I'm afraid of waiting and then it ends up becoming more expensive. (It probably won't but still...)

Well I assumed the limited edition was the one aimed more at hardcore fans. It seems to packaged differently, includes both dvd and bluray, has some type of artbook, and I think something else? I can't remember.

It's a tough decision. You can either preorder this set, wait for a complete box set of season 1, or wait for an entire box set of the complete show. Or if you really hardcore you can buy it all!  Either way, I at least have a couple more months to make a decision. Amazon doesn't charge for preorders until the item actually ships so maybe the price will go down before November.

I fear that too, but I noticed Western released products are a bit easier to get a hold of than stuff coming from Japan. The Japanese merch is being purposefully limited to stir sales and interest.

I want a pretty boxset, but I don't really care for the dub. I wish there's a boxset for just the Japanese version...

I may have to purchase these iTunes episodes since I don't have a TV/DVD player atm anyway.

I'm pretty sure the boxset includes English and Japanese audio because I remember checking. I really can't stand the new dub voices so having the Japanese audio was a must for you. Also does your computer cd not have a cd drive? (I know the new macbooks don't come with one.)

Yeah that's why I wish there's a boxset for just the Japanese with subs with maybe half the price since I don't wanna pay for the dub xD

I could play DVDs on my computer with an external drive, but since the screen size will be small anyway, it seems pointless going for DVD rather than iTunes episodes?
