| Hi there! I am Aya.
Let's see... where to begin, where to begin? Well, I've been in love with Sailor Moon (the series) since I can remember. I grew up on the Russian dub (why, yes, such a thing does exist!). IN SOVIET RUSSIA... haha, just kidding. I left the series behind when I moved to England, but when I was about... oh, I don't know, twelve or so? Yeah, twelve sounds about right. When I was twelve, I reread the whole manga and rewatched the whole series. Japanese subs have always been my preferred anime watching thing... I hate the dub, especially the Sailor Moon dub. UM KTHNX MICHIRU AND HARUKA ARE NOT COUSINS. A lot of people grew up on the dub, though. I just... dislike it, I guess? Haha. I am such an advocate for the Sailor Moon manga and Sailor Moon Japanese sub anime. Why? Personally, in the anime, Usagi/Mamoru did not make sense. In the manga? They did. At least, that's what I think.
But enough of Sailor Moon! Haha. I am half-Russian, half-Brit... and something else. I'm a lot of things, really, but I ally myself more with England and Russian than any other country out there. *salutes the British flag* Although, personally, all this hype about the royal marriage is just... ridiculous. <<;
My favorite animes of all time are Ouran High School Host Club, Full Metal Alchemist, Saiunkoku Monogatari (even though it's so, so, tragic!), Eureka Seven... hm, I think that's it. As for TV shows--I follow How I Met Your Mother, Castle, and Bones. <3 Mm. I love me some Castle!
I hate exams, love life, love freedom. I am a very philosophical person. I like to ponder life and its meaning all the time (not kidding). I'm also an atheist. I respect other religions, but I prefer not to have them shoved down my throat (a note of warning: I can get bitchy when this happens). Despite my being an atheist, I still think on whether there is a god or not; how the Universe was created; how human life was created; life after death... etc. I'm just content with not knowing, I guess?
Also, I'm the biggest. History. Geek. You. Will. Ever. Meet. So unless you want to get into a very long discussion, don't mention any of these topics: the French revolution, the Russian revolution, the Ancient Greeks, Greek mythology, mythology of any sort (really xD), anything colonial America, the ancient Egyptians, anything medieval England, and anything ancient anything. xD; But thankfully, that's the only geek-ish thing about me, really. I'm your average girl, yeah? I like to go party at clubs, live it up European style. Like to travel, a lot. Haven't been to Egypt yet, and it's killing me.
I'm a role-player, as well. I own my own Sailor Moon RPG site, and Sailor Moon is really the only... genre of role-playing that I really love to bits and pieces. For obvious reasons. When I was little, I was always either Mars or Venus. Yes, my friends did cosplay quite a lot. xD Just like... childish stuff, though.
I think that's about it? /ninja Aya slinks out |

| Welcome to the forums! We have a "no religion or politics" policy here, so you don't need to worry about arguments. ^^
I'm the same way! I watch the Japanese subs and read the manga for pretty much every series I'm into, but I don't look down on people who don't. |

| Welcome aboard! I'm glad to have a history buff in our midst, as well as someone who remains thoughtful about several of the essential mysteries of the universe.
Your name is slightly familiar. I have the sneaking suspicion we may have crossed paths on another Sailor Moon forum. |

Where do you think you know me from? It might be that "Aya" has been used somewhere else. I'm not certain. The name just rung a bell. Or maybe it's all just an elaborate tactic on my part to cause mass confusion! |

| Welcome to the forum Aya. I've already had the opportunity to speak to you on chat. It's great to see that other moonies grew up with a different dub. Was it as bad as the English dub? LOL. I'm sure you'll feel right at home in the forum. BTW, I myself was a history buff when I was younger still am at heart so whenever you want we could discuss some history. ☿ |

| It's been a while since I took a history class, and I don't have a specific genre so to speak of what I find interesting, but I love learning bits and pieces of cool facts from history!
Any ways, WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME! To the Forums! Don't hesitate to pm me if you need anything <3 |

| Hallo there! Welcome to the forum! Ooh, I watched Host Club anime as well! It was so cute and adorable. Have you read and/or finished the manga? I read through the first half but then lost interest. But I had to read the last one! XD And my friend is a total History "geek" as well. You two would probably get along quite well. He is writing a children's book about a child who travels across the world and this of course leads him to spending massive amount of hours researching every place he wants to bring the child to. Heehee. He has more notes on the history of places than actual written story. Anyway, sorry for the ramble. But welcome! |

| Yay a history geek! Some time you and I should discuss World War II. I found the whole thing fascinating and double majored in history in college with a specific focus on the Pacific Theatre. Good debates could be had!
So glad you're at the forums! |

| Speaking of history, there are times before where I wished I had been a history major instead. I always thoroughly enjoyed my college history classes and that other class that is basically history but talks about more culture oriented stuff. Gosh i can't remember what its called. Humanities i think? Yeah. That was a great class. Had some of the best teachers ever. |

I also hated the dub, Usagi's voice was so horrible. u-u Luna is around the same age as Usagi yet her voice actor was an old British woman? Ummmm, what? And all of the horrible ancient slang, omfg. Um, I adore you. Just saying. ;D - Quote :

Hi, are you taken? Just kidding! Welcome aboard, Aya! So, you're half Russian? I grew up always dreaming to go to Russia, dreaming with Moscow and Saint Petersburg and when I went to college, I picked up Russian Literature as one of my optional subjects. I loved it. Unfortunately, I dropped college a few months later! I love history too, oh geez. World War I & II, greek mythology, Russian Revolution.... everything you mentioned above - I feel like Sam from Supernatural sometimes, researching about everything. (Ah, I forgot to mention in my own topic that I am addicted to SPN). Welcome! |

Oh man! History is so awesome! I love reading about historical day-to-day life, I love to read about stuff that may have been common knowledge back in the day, but technology has made obsolete, or has just been forgotten through time. What are your historical interests? |
