The room is dark and cold, all light disappearing as the heavy oaken door shuts pointedly behind you. Unsure of what to do, you hesitate as the air settles. Moments pass in absolute silence, but as you reach behind your back to locate the door handle, a single light clicks on, bathing a circular table in conical light.

At the table sits a figure, his or her face obscured by the green card-game visor that casts an eerie chartreuse glow over his or her features.

"Welcome," the voice hisses in a whisper, "to the--"

"EUCHRE CHAMBERS, HOME OF THE FIERCEST GAME OF PARTNERS YOU WILL EVER ENCOUNTER! COWER IN FEAR, OR TAKE A SEAT AT THIS VERY IMPRESSIVE MAHOGANY TABLE!"

Throwing off the veil of mystery, a girl stands in a victorious pose, one foot pressed to the table ledge, one hand on her hip and the other motioning to the table. There was an even number of chairs.
