I was thinking Rod too but only reason I avoided it is since it looks more like the Moon Stick and not more like the other rods used (like the moon tiare and cutie moon rod), I was thinking more along stick. xD There is also scepter but it doesn't quite look one of those either. Could I also suggest Crystal Moon Wand? Crystal Moon Rod works too if you are firm in that decision though. xD

I did debate between Crystal Moon Stick or Crystal Moon Rod, but I settled on rod because a stick doesn't sound impressive (that word has a bit of a diminutive connotation in English). I don't actually know if the name of the new rod will be brought up at all in FR, so that'll give me some more time to think about it. XD;;

I think the Sailor Quartet would have powers related to circus skills, so Sailor Pallas is a Ball Magician and can do all kinds of things with her magical spheres. In this case, it serves as a nice handy specimen container for pesky, supernatural, energy-zapping moths.

Juno, as third eldest of the Sailor Quartet, gave me quite a bit of a hard time when it came to creating power/attributes for her. Her name sake, the Roman goddess of women and marriage (and by extension, her Greek counterpart, Hera), is far more well known for her jealousy towards her husbands lovers than any specific combat abilities. Even as one of the Amazon Quartet, JunJun was an acrobat, which is not a skill that can be easily turned into a special magic attack. So, to stick to me circus-inspired powers for the Quartet, I decided Juno will use throwing knives as her primary weapon even though in the manga VesVes is shown being the one to throw knives. Her acrobatic skills also make her very agile, quick, and stealthy, making her great at sneak attacks and clandestine surveillance.

Having said all that, you're probably wondering why I didn't give her lightening based powers, since Juno/Hera is the wife of Jupiter/Zeus. The thing is, I don't like the idea of the Quartet having the same kinds of powers and attributes as the Inner Senshi. It takes away from their individuality, and it also ignores their powers from their Dean Moon Circus days. So, even though it's a little more work, I think it's more fun for Juno to throw knives than to throw lightening. I did however, make a subtle nod to the goddess Juno. The design and color of the throwing knives Juno uses is modeled after the peacock's tail feather, as the peacock is associates with Juno/Hera.

Ooh! Love it. Though I dunno if its been asked here or not, but how many acts do you plan to do? And do you have plans for covers once you run out of the the Asteroid Senshi? Just curious. xD I'd love to see a Chibiusa/Helios cover.

So far, I'm planning for a total of 8 acts, but it may well change, depending on how the pacing works out in the end. As for covers, I have some...ideas, but the thing is, I'm drawing the covers based on the style of the new Kodansha version of the manga, and none of those covers feature a male character. XD;; I'm a stickler for keeping true to a style if that's what I had set out to do, so I am a little apprehensive about illustrating a male character in that style when there's no reference to look at. I guess I'll just wing it. ^^;

WELL, Mamoru is on one of the Short Stories volumes if that counts for something! XD

In the Black Moon arc of the manga when Venus was reading on the file about the Death Phantom, it was stated that Neo Queen Serenity was the one who stood up to fight him. However, I feel like that statement neglects King Endymion, who we know possesses his own powers. Maybe (and this is purely my own conjecture) when Naoko Takeuchi was originally writing the Black Moon arc she hadn’t yet thought about giving Endymion his own crystal. But in any case, I want to try to portray Endymion as someone who has power, because, like his wife, he is every bit as much of a guardian of Earth as she is.

I agree with you on your decisions with Endymion. Especially since in Dream Arc they pretty much are like "we are gunna do this protect the earth thing together" so I would expect him to definitely use his powers to stop major threads.

Omg omg I've been seeing snippets of this on my tumblr dash and I can't believe it's here on this forum! This manga is lovely <3 such great work! And yeah I always thought Endymion should have more powers, since he has the golden crystal and technically has that healing power too. 
Also, do you make your own screen tones to use? I've always been curious as a fellow artist :3

Thanks! The screen tones I use are either tones I bought and scanned on my own, or online digital tones that others have prepared. Deviantart is a good place to look for some tones if you want to start trying them out.

Just a quick question-how much of this did you have planned ahead of time? Did you write the story out before drawing it, or is it more of a make-up-as-you-go sorta thing?

I had at least the major plot events all planned before I started drawing Future Reunion. I've learned from past writing experiences that it's not a good idea to write without having set an end point for your story first, so I made sure I know what the ending to the story is before I started writing. ^^;;

From there, I will then work out the major plot events that will propel the story along, as well as any important dialogue that I want to include in a master outline. The dialogue for each chapter are pretty much written right before I start drawing the chapter, so there's a lot of pruning and changing things as I go, but the major points of the story doesn't deviate much from the main outline that I've written for myself.
