So... the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings: Online is now completely free to play (it has been for a while, but, whatevs) and I'm currently downloading it and I was wondering...


ANYBODY WANNA PLAY WITH ME?! we could create a Sailor Moon / Galaxy Cauldron themed "Fellowship"!

ChibiMoon: Minstrel

... u_u and now I don't know who to play. I have a blonde captain that could either be Moon or Venus easily, but their expressions are all so pissed off and there's nothing resembling pigtails. x_x ... XD so I'mma be Venus! I hope I find a Jupiter. Those roles just fit those two so much. A whole inner group would be so fantastic XD

It's freeeeeeee! I played for like a week a bajillion years ago ((this will hold me over until the FANTASMAGORIC WONDER that is FFXIV:ARR comes out next spring)) but apparently it's easy to get into.

Oh bleh. Most planetary names are taken, and they're all one word names. Hmm... we could probably do their civilian names, or all one word stuff, like Sailorvenus . :/ Suggestions?

I've played this MMO off and on since it came out. The only reason i don't keep playing is because i'd rather just pay the monthly fee to get all the things you don't get with the free membership. I've also got so many other games. o_o

I don't remember which server I was on thought. Brandywine maybe? I had a Hobbit minstrel (killing MOBS with instruments! yeah!) and some other character. The hobbit was my highest level and she was only like 30 or so.

Oh! I totally play this during the holiday/semester breaks. As soon as I am out for school, I'll let you know.

Its making want to play again...especially with The Hobbit coming out and all xD

Oh... but btw, yeah, planetary names are a no-go. Someone and tumblr was all "I'll be Neptune!" and my head went all "OvO we could have Neptune and Uranus start before the inner senshi are even assembled so their powers are greater nnnnyennnanndnnannnaa yes" So I started throwing together a Uranus. I made her an elf since she and Neptune are initially so much more elegant than the inners, and then... well, they said that 'uranus' was a vulgar name x_x

BUT

in LOTRO they've got Last Names for kinship reasons, so what we could do is either use their civilian names and make planetary last names or something, or use code/element words for their first name and create a giant family with the last name of 'senshi' XD Like Sky/Ocean/Time/Nature/Fire/Water/Metal/Light Senshi (or a variation, as I'm sure those original names are taken; maybe even go deeper? Protection, Passion, etc.? idek x_x)

can you give titles in the fellowship? So instead of making characters with names that fit, we just make our characters, form the fellowship, and then give titles out?

i don't really remember if thats possible though. But i dunno if i'll actually play yet, just throwing out a suggestion. xD

deleted the game until I get my grades back up, But I was playing on Laurelin with a dwarf hunter and guardian, and on Snowbourne with a dwarf minstrel and an elvish champion.

well if you didn't get far, i could start an alt on the server i'm on and we could level together. My bf is about to hit 50 in LOTRO so we have some bigger characters to give us stuff. lol. I have hardly been playing these past few weeks though. T_T We also got into some guild full of old people or something. Well older people, like...no kids or anything. xD I think its just a social guild, but like i said, i've barely been playing so i havne't really gotten to know any of the members yet.

Major bump! I'm reinstalling this thing, due to being:
-An awesome roleplaying medium
-An awesome game
-Lord of the Rings
-The best MMO around.

But having found a nasty error with the official download, namely that it doesn't detect connectivity on a win7 laptop (pando media booster installer), I have decided to delve into Searchlores to find a quarry that contains the actual installer.

I'm just trying to download the client. If this works, well, one obstacle overcome, because the fileplanet link isn't working for me. Since it's only the client, it's (at least should be) all legal and OK.

Third post, important bump:
Update on 13th changed the launcher. It also has a few quirks, and it can save you a reinstall if you keep these in mind:
-If it keeps being stuck on the "initializing" screen, delete temporary internet files.
-If the "play" button doesn't work, change language, wait the extra couple of hours until the german/french localization downloads, then change the settings back. No. Changing it back prematurely won't help. But after that, you can most likely log in. Currently the devs are working on this issue.

The linked client above is outdated. I used my PC to download, and an USB stick to transfer the setup files to my laptop.
-Everyone gets silver hobbit presents, just for logging in. (and it was a hard earned present after a whole re-download AND the german localization download! Almost got a tear out of my eye)
