Fan films they're popping up everywhere now, aren't they? Well, this one is focusing on the SuperS arch.

I really don't know how I feel about this fanfilm. I could barely understood the voice in the trailer. Why must they put echos over voices? >.< I know it makes an affect, but I can't understand them. However, I think it was that saying that the Quartet used in the anime.

So what do you guys think?

That actually looked pretty cool. The design isn't mind-blowing but the concept and editing was very fun. It did its job as a trailer because I want to see more.

I liked the effects used for the voice. It made it sound very menacing.

I also liked the set for Rei's fire room with the red and purple sheets draped on the walls. Nice touch.

They showed a brief bit of Jupiter's transformation and I must say it looks cool. They've mimicked the actions of the anime transformation so I wonder how faithful they've been/will be with other parts.

I'm excited to see it but I think they might have attempted more than they can handle--so many characters in the DMC arc. Imagine all of that in an hour-long, two-hour-long film. Though I am interested by this decision as they are, apparently, including that epic scene where Usagi freefalls after Chibiusa (one of the more beautiful scenes in the anime imo).

Though clips look all right when they're edited together, I have a feeling this will be awkward to watch. Contextually, a lot of things probably won't fit.

I really want to see this, even though there's a lot of hings that seem somewhat odd. I really like SuperS so I wanna see!

It'll be interesting. Even though it was a bit hard to understand what the voice over was saying, I immediately recognized it as lines direct from the anime! Except much darker...very interesting. I've seen stuff on and off about this project so its piqued my interested, but seeing as I was fairly disappointed with the LA fanfilm, I'm not going to put my hopes up too high. I'll wait until it comes out until I judge it though.

I'm feeling quite the same as you on that Small Lady.

I'm still very curious about seeing this. The characters seem well chosen and we can regnognize all of them. The effect of the voice didn't bother me so much except that it could have been a little bit less echoed. The dark side of this fanfilm (voice, eyesight, villains that seem really bad) was really interesting and looked less cartoonish which is cool since it's being played by real people. I liked this trailer a lot.

Nice input everyone! I still know how I feel about this project :/ The trailer was nice though. I understood what was going on unlike the LA fan film trailer. I'll probably end up watching it when it's released because I enjoy watching sailor moon fan made things.

In all honesty, it looks rather corny to me as a whole, but that is really how I feel about all cosplay films. However, the effects look really good for a fan made film. I was actually really surprised and I really want to see those scenes in further detail. They look like they have a lot of potential!

As Reiko said, I agree with Rei's scene and Jupiter's transformation. They looked so faithfully close to the anime! And the scene where Sailor Moon jumps off after Chibi Usa-- I find it incredibly admirable that a fan made film would take on such a scene.

Also, silly as this may sound, I loved the cobwebs. That was super awesome and a great realistic and eerie touch.

I was able to clearly understand the voice. This gave me goosebumps since this is my favorite story from the SM franchise.

I loved the voiceover! My head was like WAIT! THAT'S WHAT THE CIRCUS PEOPLE CHANTED IN THE BACKGROUND ALL THE TIME! 'somethingsomething somethign something koikiyoku' =D IT'S SO CREEPILY DELICIOUS!

I was immediately able to recognize characters, which is a plus, and I think they said somewhere that their cast is primarily Asian, which is neat.

And I wish I could remember where the video is, but the FIGHT SCENES PROMISE TO BE AMAZING. They had a video of a practice fight between Tuxedo Kamen and Fisheye that was filled with acrobatics and kung fu and looked fancy, yet movie-realistic - they have a Parkour specialist / karate person choreographing the fight scenes, with an acrobat specifically tutoring those chosen to be the Amazon Quartet.


Will this be corny? More than likely. Like Jupi said, it's a cosplay fan film and corny is the nature of the beast, but I also have pretty high hopes for it.
I kinda wish ChibiUsa and Helios looked a little younger, but whatevs; it's not like they could've pulled an elementary school student out of school and put that much pressure on the poor thing. ^^'
And, like some comments above, I wonder how long the movie is going to be... there're a lot of characters there....



AND I REALLY SUPER WISH SOMEONE WOULD TO A MANGA FAN FILM. Fighting Nehelenia in space? The senshi in Princess getups?! CHIBI SENSHI GUARDIANS?! If they did it right, it'd be super cool.

As far as the cornyness goes, lets face it...anytime Sailor Moon is done live action, it will be corny and cheesy as hell. Sailor Moon is something hard to translate into live action without it coming across as such. However, even if I don't always like them, I'm still enjoying all these fan films being made. It's great to see the community producing such works!

I think there are a lot animes like Sailor Moon that would be cheesy live action films. I think the only animes that you can make into live action without it being cheesy are animes about school life, romance, ect.

That's why drama and comedy animes tend to get turned into live action. Great Teacher Onizuka had a live action and Ouran Host Club recently had one made. I also believe Initial D had a live action as well. Cutie Honey had a couple of live action renditions. I kind of liked the more recent movie, but apparently the tv series wasn't too great.

Exactly! I have never watched live action drama and comedies before. The only live action show I have seen was Sailor Moon. Of course I thought it was cheesy XD But I did like the relationships between the girls.

Lol I agree. They really are popping everywhere. I've seen like five other sailor moon live action projects and such. I think the guy has a thing for Jupiter probably since her transformation was the only one shown in the trailer. That's just an inference xD I think I have to agree that this looks a little better than the LA sailor moon fan film. Albeit I loved the LA film, this looks like it stays much more to the sailor moon series so a really good job there. I'll be testing this theory out though when I actually see the film.

ok! LOL. I wonder if we'll see some more fan films that cover an anime season like this one. Personally I would like to see S in live action. I want to see the Outers. Seeing how this one is based of the anime dream arch we won't get to see the Outers. D:

Well that was nice it left me wanting to see more.

I really like the fact that this one is more based off of the anime season rather than yet creating another interpretation of a season/arc that varies off from the original idea. I have been keeping an eye on this one and from what I understand, filming on this project will be complete.by Christmas.

While I'm still holding my breath, I'm interested to see how they take the SuperS season/Dead Moon Arc at. ^^ I'm excited to see many Sailor Moon fan films appear recently, I'm hoping this will boost the awareness of Sailor Moon to new viewers and so forth. I also enjoy seeing the creativity of other people expresses through these mediums.

Oooooooooooooh. It's looking good. This is probably the best looking fanfilm I've seen so far.

I like this one a lot better than the last XD you can hear things. What I really like here is how they're changing costumes to fit what they're trying to do better while making sure they're still recognisable. Because lets face it. It is extremely hard to find a person who can pull off those Amazoness Quartet hairstyles... or Fisheye's bubblesuit. These people seem to have also paid more attention to the actual series than the Independent Short group... I also like how theyre taking SuperS / Yume rather than the first series. Its nice, its different, its unusual. I'm prepared to give this a chance. Everyone looks australian in this... Is it Australian?

Also, for sailor moon, as important as characterization and plot, you have to agree that if the special effects look cheesy and crappy, then well...its not going to help its cause.

Yeah its nice if they look nice but I don't think for something like Sailor Moon it needs to be a priority, the independent short had some good special effects after all.

What I love about this film is that is feels like a Sailor Moon movie verses someone interpretation of Sailor Moon (don't get me wrong because I did enjoy the Sailor Moon movie). The thingi s though, everything seems to be more well coordinated/choregraphed, planned, and polished (i.e.: costumes, fight scenes, etc). I'm very excited to see the end result of this fan film.

From what I understand, I believe this movie got pushed back a month and is scheduled to be released in May. Since the first trailer debuted, I joined the Dead Moon Circus FB group and honestly the people there love to talk, especially the director James Peniata (jimikpop). So if I hear anything more about changes to the release date, I'll keep everyone posted. ^^

Wow that was such an amazing trailer! It looks like all the people in this fan film is giving their 110%. I hope the film is amazing as the trailer. Also it looks like it will have really cool action scenes.
