Are there any fans here of Italian magical girl cartoons? Lately I've become addicted to them. I love Winx Club though I can't stand the 4Kids dub of it and I also recently have started watching this Italian magical girl cartoon that's really cute called Angel's Friends. Are there any other fans here and do you know of any good recommendations for me?

But the art style is inspired by anime and the Italian magical girl genre is practically Japan's first cousin. And anime is just the Japanese word for cartoon so all anime are cartoons.

Magical Girls can't be Italian, they can only be Japanese. It's clearly written in the guidebook of all Magical Girls. Gawsh!

| I love Winx Club because it's like a cross between Sailor Moon and Harry Potter, like if Harry Potter was ever made into an anime. This is the opening theme for Angel's Friends: - Spoiler:

The term anime is used more to define "cartoon" shows made in Japan. In general, there is a difference in style and plotline when it comes to "anime" and "cartoons." But we can save that kind of discussion for another topic. Since this thread is not pertaining to anime nor manga, I am going to move it to the TV Lounge forum.
