PGSM Mamoru was probably one of the best in my opinion ^^

well, the PGSM Mamoru was the one that REALLY made me fall in love with. He's my second favorite character(only losing to Makoto) and I could feel this connection with him.
His character is very different from the anime and from the manga, but that's not necessarely a bad thing. He's a very shy guy, but you can see him falling in love with Usagi and the pain he's in because of it, specially once Hina is on the picture again.

He's not a flawless in PGSM, it's like he's a real person. And that's what drove me into him in the first place.

I actually like sailor mercury from PgSM because I think her personality is cute.

Mamoru is nice but who in the world proposes to his girlfriend by putting a ring in her hand, not saying anything and then walking away. :/ And he didn't seem to care that Usagi might call off their wedding in the special act.

Then theres princess serenity. Do I even need to start? She just makes me wanna throw a bowling ball at her half the time. Like, "Oh my lover is dead now ALL OF EARTH DESERVES TO DIE!" Like how in the world did Endymion fall in love with this girl? In the anime she just said that she would believe in herself and not let his death be in vain and defeat beryl. In the manga she stabbed herself because she couldn't bear to live without him. Both of these reactions make sense but not the pgsm one. 

I liked how they gave the generals different personalities. Zoisite and Kunzite were my favourites.

And I think that Luna is given a tad too many goofy moments. Like she is shaking her bottom at the camera during her transformation and sticking her tongue out with donuts, cookies and chocolates flying everywhere. -_-

I really like how Rei is portrayed here than she was in the anime. She's a lot less short tempered and easily angered, even if she does make potshots at Usagi some of the time, but from what I've seen (on episode 7), they're not nearly as mean spirited as the anime Rei was. I do like that Usagi's ditziness and selfishness has been toned down a LOT. I liked her instantly, whereas I hated anime Usagi at first before she grew on me. But I ESPECIALLY love what they did with Luna.

One thing I always hated about the anime was that Luna always seemed like a giant nag toward Usagi. Sometimes she would be really pushy and forceful when it came to the mission, not giving Usagi any choice in the matter. In episode 3 she even threatened Usagi into transforming, which I thought was crossing the line. I am SO happy that they toned it down a LOT and rectified these issues in this version. She's so much nicer and less forceful, and lets the girls decide things on their own this time around. Thanks, PGSM!!!

I hated Nephrite in PGSM. Especially after he lost his memory and started working for Motoki. He seemed so angry all the time after that.

I think his anger and frustration was justifiable and works for the character, wouldn't you be frustrated that you were essentially demoted to just being a human and can do nothing to help with whats going on? The men that were your brothers gone and the Queen you were following (even if brainwashed) completely abandoned you... With the way they made him, it's natural for him to react the way he does.

Plus it sets up for some humorous scenes and hints at Ami x Nephi shipping. :3

I love Nephrite's anger issues. I think he's hilarious xD And it makes for some sweet interaction for him and Ami.

Now that I've been introduced to Minako, I can say for sure that I definitely like her better here than the anime. I didn't like how the anime just introduced her completely out of nowhere. She just felt shoved into the group. Here, they take their sweet time and develop Minako before introducing her as a senshi, and plus I did like that even though she was stoic and stand-offish, she did seem to enjoy being friends with Usagi and gradually opened up to her.

Yeah, Minako warming up to everyone is a great part of the show and it's totally fun to watch.

Minako was a bit too serious for my liking. Bouncy Minako worked better for me but then again she did have that illness so her personality is sort of excusable. She seemed like S Hotaru

I'm not looking forward to Princess Serenity in this version at all. Why you make her a cold wench? WHY?? Probably to make a difference between her and Usagi, but I think that if Serenity hadn't committed suicide/died (depening on which version) she would have become like Usagi did later on.

Her past self did because she lost control of her emotions.

I think its also breaking away from the stereotype of the naive and innocent Princess. It makes Princess Serenity more of an anti-hero and makes you question who the real villain is in the end after all...

It's a really nice change of pace that took me sometime to get used to. While it makes their past life love less romantic, i think it strengthens and adds depth to their present day love.

I loved Usagi's Mom too, she was so much fun! And Motoki was to die for adorable. I'm glad he and Makoto got together in the end.

Yeah, I liked that character. His ending was so sad, it didn't help that they were playing the same piece of music from FullMetal Alchemist, Chopin's  "Etude No 3 in E major". Plus he died saving the Princess for the sake of the prince he was suppose to protect.

Have to agree with you, about Princess Sailor Moon. Her destroying the world because she can't have Endymion was over the top and out of character.

Can we talk about Mio? Geez, what an awful girl! She pretty much guilts Usagi into being her friend (uhh news flash, that's rude!) then goes behind her back. I get that she was the shadow of Beryl, but I kinda didn't see the point of her.

I didn't like Mamoru's characterization, he seemed so cold to Usagi most of the time. Usagi wanting to marry him after pretty much after hating him for the entire special rubbed me the wrong way.

I didn't find him so much cold as...well the actor wasn't that great at expressing emotion? or perhaps the director over did it on tell him to be so stoic and serious. It was a bit extreme at times but other times...he's totally sweet and clearly loves Usagi.

The special was just to show a lover's quarrel and them making up. Usagi never really hated him xD

It seemed like they were trying to make Minako the Haruka of the show, but I did enjoy her character in the arc. 

The villains were a lot better in this version too. Kunzite was a boss!

Yeah. I feel like PGSM!Zoisite had more character than he did in the 90s anime. Plus, I really liked his design.
