Who would you like to see in the new anime in japanese? Who would you like to see voiced if they did a dub?

Note: both the dub and the new japanese can be talked about (you might just want to make it a bit clear which one)

I would definitely like to see Terri hawkes revoice sailor moon and Susan roman as Jupiter. I did like sailor neptunes voice actress a lot. I think it really suited her.

I was actually thinking about this today. I would like to have the girl who did Usgai's voice from the Dic dub, but that will probably never happen. I really can't think about anyone else though. I don't know voice actors because I watch the show for the story not the voice actors.

Well if we get up to the Outer Senshi, i would like to see Masako and Megumi come back. I'm not sure that Masako would but I think if offered Megumi would take up the role for sure... or else maybe Risa Ooki or it would be very cool to have Nao Takagi but that's unlikely. o.o but everyone loves Nao so much. We should make a petition. Chiyoko retired though so I don't think we'd see her again. Her characters from the first series, I wonder who would replace them?

Oh no Miki! You can post about the Japanese Voice actors too! Either or... sorry I wasn't clear..

I wish they would bring the entire cast back together, but some have passed away or retired. Megumi is a must tho! And I wish Michie would make an exception and come back for Rei's role. Who knows right! Ooh and Luna and Artemis!!

I'm not familiar with the japanese seiyuu names...it would be great to have all of the same ones if possible, I love all the voices for the original Japanese voices.

As far as the English dub goes, omg get Terri Hawkes back pls. At the Florida anime con she was at, she expressed interest if she wre asked to do it, she would. Also, I wouldn't mind the same guy that did Darien's voice. I also realy like Rini/Chibi-Usa's 2nd voice actress. Her voice was adorable for the part (and its actually her normal voice. o_o).

I'm not very familiar with american anime voice actors these days, but I know there are some really great ones out there. I hope some of them can have to chance towork on the show too.

All the above people are alive. However Ms. Kawashima has retired from voice acting, I don't think anyone else has. Ms. Tomizawa retired but she came back to voice-acting a few years ago....

As long as Laura Bailey doesn't voice any of the characters in the english dubbed version I'm pretty okay with whatever they decide to do. =_= Oh god Laura Bailey....

As far as a new English dub, I fully agree about Terri Hawkes as Usagi. Heck, I actually liked all the voices of the Inners from the first and second arcs. Also, Stephanie Beard as Chibi-Usa, definitely, because she was rather painfully adorable and perfect in the role the first time.

With a new dub, though, I always worry about the same mistakes being made from the first dub. The name changes, the Americanizing, the over-censoring...

For the sub, though, as long as Kotono Mitsuishi has some part in it (for example: it would be fun to see her as Ikuko), I'll be happy.

I HIGHLY doubt this kind of dubbing will EVER happen again, unless its picked up by 4Kids or something stupid. Which, I doubt...I think Funimation wants to get its hands on Sailor Moon pretty bad because they know its a money maker for them, just like Dragonball Z. The redo of DBZ was really great and didn't cut out a lot of stuff and kept in swearing, blood, etc. The only editing they did for DBZ Kai for TV airing was taking out excessive blood and htats because it was being aired on Nickelodeon.

I have absolutely no worries about censoring over here. Most english dubbed anime, if its not being syndicated on TV, has minimal censoring, if any at all.

True. I'm hoping that Funimation does get it, as they're actually pretty good with dubs. If they do get it, though, I hope they don't cast Monica Rial in it. She bugs me for reasons I can't quite place.

they should give Mamoru Miyano a role .. on the male enemies or somthing like that, because he's THE voice actor of japan ..

I've heard some of his stuff... ? I'm not sure if hes the best fit for the males and Sailor Moon... I think voice actors need to be right for the role, not just be popular voice actors ^^ In Sailor Moon, they're all quite stoic harsh types who don't tend to require a range of vocals. But I guess he has shown he is capable of many roles so maybe

it have a reason that hes know under animefans as japans most talented male VA ( ) or "master of mindtrolling" ...
he have also the talent to voice both dark/serious voices AND light/soft voices.
if i didnt know (for example) that he voiced Zange Natsume from Inu x Boku SS i would never ecpected that its the same voice actor like Light Yagami (Death Note), Okabe Rintaro (Steins;Gate) or Zero Kiryu (Vampire Knight) because his voice sounds soooo differend ...
and his "emotions" when hes acting are awesome..

But I like Mamoru's voice. It would be weird hearing anything else. His voice actor isn't that bad, imo.

But yes, I realize the guy has a good range because he also did tamaki from Ouran. So obviously he's got talent.

I won't watch it as a dub. I want as many of the original Japanese seiyuu back as possible, however.

Yeah, it goes without saying that obviously one of the biggest criticisms of Sailor Moon by the fans is how the dubs change everything, and any company knows that they'll make more money if they keep it close to the Japanese Anime/Manga/whatever. I think any company would be unreasonably stupid to make the same mistakes that the others did.

For mamoru, I think the original voice actor would be one of the only suitable ones. Mamoru really needs that deep and manly quality that when tickled in the right way however can become silly and fun. ^^

I don't care who she voices, but if Funimation DOES end up dubbing the new series, I want Monica Rial to be in the cast. Maybe she could voice Rei. Or Ami. Or even Usagi.

I DON'T CARE. I just want her to be in the english dub cast! Especially since she voiced Excel from Excel Saga and her japanese voice was done by Kotono Mitsuishi. So it would make sense to have Monica in the english dub cast. <3

Can we talk about foreign dubs?

I hope most of the VA of the original anime will come back in the japanese version. (it's already almost sure Mitsuichi will take back her role.)

As for the dub, seeing how dubs here (france) are usually greatly done (let's ignore MarsGonagall (who actually did a fairly good job). This was 15 years ago, before the whole anime/manga culture was taken seriously here.) I think we'll have a decent dub, but I'd like to have Emanuelle Paily (crap, how is that spelled again?) as Usagi. She did a great job in the original anime.

the "old" voice actor of tuxedo mask said at the connichi-panel (germany) that toei never ask him to do this role again o.O

From what I understood, from the German panel was that he hadn't been asked officially by Toei to reprise the role. Not that to never do it again. o.o But you know the source i got it from could have gotten their translations mixed up.

to be serious i prefer a younger VA then him. i mean when it comes to female VA they can longer voice "young" roles except for male VA.
