| Does anyone else think it was a little strange that the Death Busters sub group, the Witches 5, were based more as scientists than, well, witches. I read the Infinity Arc and they appeared more as witches than in the anime (including Viluy, who was skilled in science).
I personally feel that the Black Moon Clan might have fit the science and technology theme better. They time traveled, and, at least in the manga, they used a dark crystal shard from the planet Nemesis to channel their power.
Did you like that the Witches 5 were displayed more as scientists?

| ^_^ They were! Their magic seemed more like magic through science rather than sparklesparkle magic; Naoko was a Chemist before she turned manga artist, and many of her villians in all arcs have a technology or chemical bent, including rocks (minerals and elements). |

| I feel like they were scientists by day, evil occult practicing witches by night. Magus Kaorinite was so epic. In the manga at least. And in the anime the box they used might have been hexed. |

| I actually never really thought about it. Though now that you mention it, I find it kind of interesting how there seem to be bits of 'science' sprinkled here and there. We could even consider the gathering of energy by the Dark Kingdom to be something 'scientific', if we think about it.
Though, SuperS didn't really have any of these elements, did they? Even Stars had the Animamates. |

| I can get on board with the science side. Even the use of alchemy! They definitely seem science-y now that it was mentioned. Which, is kinda cool. Especially since the senshi use what looks like magic and the villains use more technology and science. That makes an even more interesting parallel between our senshi and the baddies. We already have similarities between the senshi and villains (their goals/dreams/etc.) and now we have actual contrast. Something different. Yay interesting thought! |

| I liked their lab coats, that's enough for me to get behind them being scientists. What? I was a kid, I liked things for the most trivial of reasons. |
