For USA General: maybe a Interesting Facts or top 10 lists thread? (was compiling some ideas for that) and a list of cool destinations in the US. Maybe a geography game might be fun too?

You cannot post "too early". You can start whenever you are ready. Make the threads exactly as you need them for the actual event—please don't leave anything out. This is an honor system, where we trust that the other Party Planners are not going to cheat.

I recommend that Party Planners do not look at each other's threads before the event is live. Myself or anyone assisting me with reviews are the only people who ought to be checking the threads.

Similarly, we don't post in anyone else's thread. (: I delete all replies that are not from the thread's host.

As mentioned in the PM, I totally forgot the due date was the 14, as I thought I had longer. I'll have the threads up either tonight or tomorrow. And on a side note, I couldn't find any decent flash game, so I decided to have a basket coloring contest instead, since basket-weaving is somewhat of a Hungarian tradition.

You can certainly switch for a crossword. (: A history of the magical girl genre sounds interesting! It seems like most of your Japan-based threads are anime-centric, so you may want to consider other elements of culture, as well. Anime/manga is a pretty small aspect of the country in general.

I haven't been as productive as I like to be this week I'm afraid. Work has drained most of my energy all week so I was anticipating to be further along than I am now. I'll post the two quiz threads now and start to build the Australia thread, but I'll also admit I thought I had another week.
I hate to throw a spanner in the works but do you mind pushing the event back a week? It'll give me the time I thought I had and I'll push out more content.

Yes, you could have a post per decade for the information thread on magical girl, and a discussion about clothing would be fine.

I'm trying to decide if I will push the event back (which is problematic because it will result in some planning/etc. overlap of All Hallow's Eve) or cancel the World's Fair for this year. I'll make a decision before the end of today.

Okay, a quick change in my line up.
Running two quizzes, especially one as massive as $ale is very taxing, I just can't do both at the same time. So $ale of the Cauldron will be shelved for another time and I'm replacing it with a smaller, easier game.

You could ask everyone to read the article and then answer the quiz. I've allowed that for other events.
