| We don't have a thread listing our favorite books! Alas, the tragedy and outrage! List your favorite books and, if you are inspired, tell us why these are your favorite books. |

| I have a lot of them too. Books take more of my room than my and my bed do.
Les Misérables, Sherlock Holmes (I've read Conan Doyle and some other authors who took the characters in new stories), Harry Potter series, The Tolkien Legendarium/Books/etc, a police series written by Christine Brouillet, I also love some of Katy Reich and those are the only one I can think of right now because I'm tired as hella, but there's like 2000+ books in my shelves and counting and there's a lot of those I'd reread. I'm just not in front of it right now x) |

| My ultimate favorite: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I've read and re-read the series(including The Hobbit) about oh 20+ times and I STILL enjoy it! |

| The Harry Potter series is definitely in my top favorite lists. It is one of my favorite series, because the characters and the world truly become alive for me. I want to insert myself into the Harry Potter world to learn more about it and I imagine myself in certain parts of the story. I can read the books over and over again to learn something new each time.
I also love The Royal Diaries series, which features a different real figure of female royalty in each book. The book is written from the perspective of that female figure of royalty by the author. It is a neat, more personal way to learn about history, even if all of it is only inspired by real events. I also adored that they did not only stick to European princesses, but featured royalty from Mesoamerica, China, Japan, North America, etc.
And the husband came home, so I will write more later. |

| Mmmm... I love so many books. Basically anything by Neil Gaiman is great, especially Coraline. The Girl Who Civumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (yes that's the full title) by Catherynne M. Valence is both a deconstruction of the typical Narnia-esque "kid gets hauled off to magical land and is the chosen one who has to overthrow magic Hitler/general despot" and a beautiful homage to such stories. The squeal are fine but the orginal is far and away the best. The Percy Jackson books are great too, and I think as far as single books go Allegiant by Veronica Roth is working it's way up there, as far as doing many think right and addressing the questions many often have with YA Dystopians, and generally doing several things (in particular one thing that's EXTREMELY spoiler-y that I won't say here) that make me retroactively have more respect for the Divergent trilogy in general. That's just a small fraction of ones I love. |

| I've read more and found some new favorites!
The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare (Though I find I like the movie better) Geekerella by Ashley Poston Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo (I had to read this in school once and I didn't like it then. Now I really like it!) Where The Mountain Meets The Moon by Grace Lin The Unicorn in the Barn by Jacqueline K. Ogburn Superstar by Mandy Davis Meg and Linus by Hanna Nowinski Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor Little Women by Louisa May Alcott Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O'Brien
That's about it for right now. I plan on reading more this weekend. |

| Hm, right now I'm reading manga more than books right now, however my favorites so far have been The Hobbit, a book about Norse Mythology, lots of ancient history books, and all the books by Adam Spencer. He's a comedian who writes mathematics books and general trivia. |
