Appearance: Cassandra has light brown hair that falls with slight waves to her waist. She has green eyes and a pale clear complexion. She is always dressed neatly and conservatively either in a skirt and blouse, or pressed slacks, blouse, and jacket. Her colors of choice are mostly shades of tan, brown, and gray.  She wears sensible pumps without too much heel but still elegant enough to lo be lady-like. Any jewelry she wears is usually real gold or real diamond but she does not overdo it, settling on one or two pieces such as a bracelet or a pair of earrings to set off her look.

Since she attended a private school for a good portion of her life, she has carried the upper class style of dress with her even after coming to New York. She is on the smaller side with a willowy frame and a height of only 5’3’’ but she carries herself well. Cassandra is a bit soft spoken and always tries to move with grace and appear the part of a lady, though the recent turn of events has shaken her confidence and her self-image, and has pushed her to the cracking point of the upper class façade.

Personality: Cassandra is intelligent and a quick learner. She is ambitious and eager to grow up and make a career for herself as a teacher. She was an A student in the Vermont private school she attended until things started to fall apart. She is the type of person who follows all the rules, was always eager to volunteer, a real teacher’s pet who never gave anyone trouble beyond maybe challenging her teachers on academic disputes. She was quite confident and had a high opinion of herself and her future, coming from a place of privilege and having her self-esteem reinforced by her good grades and accolades from faculty.

She had a small circle of friends there, a clique if you will, but she has come to realize that those friendships were shallow and she seeks something deeper. After things began to come unglued as her powers emerged, she has questioned a lot of things about her life.

Prior to the awakening of her powers, everything she did was only to gain approval of others which is how she built her self-image, relying only on others to make her feel good about herself. Everything she did was for that aim, to make others proud or pleased with her so she could be pleased with herself.

She is in a way rediscovering and re-creating her personality now that all of the things she has relied on have been stripped away. Her interactions are becoming more earnest and she has lost the self-assured attitude, experiencing true humility for the first time. With the help of her sisters, she is rebuilding her confidence form the bottom up.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: She has a great capacity for remembering facts and details, and is highly observant. She knows how to ride and care for horses and all sorts of rules about etiquette.

History: Cassandra was raised in Vermont, adopted by a wealthy family and treated to all privilege had to offer in terms of academics. She attended private schools and additionally had tutors to augment her studies. Her parents were oftentimes away on business so while she felt loved, she was also often lonely and would spend time riding or reading to kill the hours if she could not meet with friends. Her teachers always praised her for good work, and that feeling propelled her, motivating her to work harder and study longer so that she could win their praise and the praise of her parents. It was what made her feel good about herself. The opinion of others was the way in which she built herself up and she did everything she could to please everyone even if it was sometimes exhausting.

By the time she reached high school she had decided to become a teacher and, having declared her career choice, set about after her goal with aplomb, reading everything she could on teaching. She and her friends were the most popular girls in class and she was on the top of the world. And then the voices started. It started one day in class when the teacher was asking her a question, and suddenly she could hear what seemed like the thoughts and voice of a fellow classmate thinking about attempting suicide with her mother’s pills. Frightened she yelled out “No!” which the teacher thought was directed towards her, and then turned to grasp the other girl’s arm, telling her urgently not to do it. This freaked out the entire class who had never seen Cassandra without as much as a hair out of place. It would come and go randomly and always seemingly at the worst possible time. Suddenly she found herself a witness to some hidden world of her own mind and found it hard to tell exactly what was real. Her grades began to suffer and with it the concern from her parents and teachers increased. The stress only made it worse as she tried to hold it all together, wondering if she was simply going out of her mind. People began to whisper things like “It figures, with her being…you know…” Only much later did she realize that she was the only one who did not know of her adoption.  

Now the "weird" kid in class despite her best attempts to hide it, she was rejected by her friends and even the crush of her school life. At their wits end, her parents sent her to stay with an aunt on Long Island, hoping that a change of pace and a less strenuous school would calm what they thought was a case of anxiety. But the episodes did not lessen, and there were times when what she was hearing turned out to be spot on, which frightened her superstitious aunt, while her uncle began to whisper about having her committed. Her life was in complete shambles and her dreams were getting further and further away. She didn’t want to be right anymore, she just wanted it to stop happening. Her entire self-image had crumbled and she didn’t even know who she was anymore.

When she caught the tail end of a phone conversation to a doctor who was "coming out to visit with his colleagues", it did not take her long to figure it out. Taking whatever possessions she could stuff into her jacket, she caught the next train out to New York City. For some reason she had been feeling drawn there ever since the incidents started and now it seemed a refuge. She survived on the streets of New York for three days before she was found by her real sisters, bedraggled, shaken, and withdrawn deep within herself. It had taken some time to explain everything but for the first time she began to feel a bit less like a freak and a bit more like she belonged. Artemis explained that her senshi powers were simply bleeding over into her daily life as she awakened, and she had even promised to help Cassandra tune out her “powers” when not needed, much to her relief. Just as she began to open up and learn about her newfound powers, she is also discovering how to meditate and calm her mind, and how to find an island of peace when things became overwhelming. But Cassandra also learned that there was danger in her new life from the God Orion and she began to fear for her new sisters’ lives as well as her own.
Other Noteworthy Facts: Cassandra has a good sense of style. She likes art, gardens, horseback riding, and reading. Her favorite subject is history and her favorite flavor of ice cream is maple walnut. She has only recently begun to take an interest in meditation, Zen, and yoga.

Senshi Name: Sailor Celaeno

Powers: Sailor Celaeno uses telekinesis both offensively and defensively in fights and it is her main go to for physical skirmishes. She also has telepathic powers, and the ability to peer into the thoughts of others depending on their mental defenses. The weakness is that, for her more energy intensive attacks, her concentration has to be good and it can leave her vulnerable to attack while she is charging up, especially during the incantation attack. As a fighting tactic, if he is going to pull off an intense attack, she will do so from the background rather than on the front lines, allowing her sisters to cover her while she centers herself.  She prefers the element of surprise and strategy.
1. Psychic Barrier – This is a defensive move. Using her telekinetic powers she can put up an invisible barrier around herself or those she wishes to protect. The larger the size, the more straining it is to keep it up and the weaker it is. Larger ones also take more time and concentration to create. Typically she uses them while fighting by creating a small sized barrier just in the spot where an attack is going to hit to conserve energy and deflect the attack.
2. Psychic Bewitching Assault – This is a mirage creating attack where she can use telepathy to send an illusion into someone else’s mind, for example making them think they are facing an army of senshi, or making them see an attack coming from a different direction to distract them from the real one. Its effectiveness depends on her energy level, concentration, and also on the opponent’s strength of mind. To perform this attack she must picture the illusion she wishes to create and, placing one finger upon her third eye chakra call out the attack.
3. Omni-incantation – This is an attack of direct psychic energy. She raises her hands to praying position in front of her forehead. Closing her eyes she begins to chant a mantra from the Hindu faith called “Om Dum Durgayei Namaha” which roughly translates to "Om and Salutations to that feminine energy which protects from all manner of negative influences." It is a chant she has found to augment her concentration and call upon assistance from her star power in times of need. When she is centered and feeling the warmth of her star’s energy all around her crackling in the air, she spreads her hands out to the sides, palms out, and sends this wave of positive psychic energy exploding outward from herself towards their enemy. The idea is somewhat similar to Mars’ talismans but on a psychic level repelling negative energies. Against a human opponent with no powers the backlash could render him unconscious while more powerful enemies may be momentarily stunned to simply experiencing severe pain arcing through their head like a splitting headache.

Guardian: The Goddess Artemis watches over all of the sisters in the form of a cat.

RP Sample: “Cassandra, will you please begin reading from page 356?” Her history teacher stood over her row of desks and Cassandra happily put her finger on the place in the book. This was a most interesting period of history they were learning about. The Civil War was such a complicated time with so many nuances. But as her eyes found their mark and she opened her mouth to read, she heard a voice behind her.

“I can’t take it anymore. I’m really going to do it this time. It’s not like anyone will miss me. It’s not like I matter or anything. It’ll be easy, just like going to sleep. I’ll take some of mama’s sleeping pills and it’ll all be over….tonight…I’m going to do it.”

Cassandra’s eyes opened wide in horror and shock that such a thing should even be said out loud much less carried out. She knew the girl roughly, a quiet girl who never really seemed to fit in and was always wearing last year’s uniform.

“No!” she yelled, attracting the attention of the entire class as she spun around in her seat and grabbed the girl’s wrist. “No! Don’t do that, please! Don’t even think of it, promise!”

The girl sputtered, an expression of fear and shock on her face as she responded, “I – I don’t know what you’re talking about! Let go of me!” She was shaking as she wrenched her arm away but could not seem to look away from Cassandra.

Blinking, Cassandra realized that the entire class was staring at her. “What, didn’t you hear her? Didn’t you hear her say she was going to kill herself?” Seeing the blank looks she persisted. “Well, didn’t you?” Silence was her only response.
