Appearance:
During the Silver Millennium, before Metallia, Beryl has long wavy black hair and purple eyes. On her head, she wears a headpiece with a jewel on it and wears a matching necklace and earrings. Her dress is black with puffy short sleeves that is low cut and goes just below her knees. She wears a slanted white apron over the dress with brown, laced up sandals on her feet. The top of her dress as well as the cuffs of the sleeves are trimmed in white.
 
After she met Metallia, her look changed. Queen Beryl has long, wavy fire-red hair that reaches her waist, dull orange eyes that, instead of having whites, has a pale yellow, and her eyelids are smeared over with a warm cocoa brown, and dark-purple lips, along with pale skin. She is shown always wearing a simple, form-fitting dark-purple dress, with the top of her dress pointed in towards her neck, and a background of black. She wears a silver armlet and a bracelet, along with two small horns peaking out from her shoulders. She is also adorned with a forehead crest, shaped like a black, upside-down boomerang, with two white dots up and down, along with a turquoise stone wrapped around in gold strips and similar earrings. She is also shown to have particularly point fingernails that are painted a dark red. In Crystal, she only has one necklace and wears a belt of rocks around her waist.
 
Personality:
Beryl was very much in love and obsessed with Prince Endymion, often watching him from afar. When she wasn’t doing that, she was obediently doing her chores. Patience was not a strong suit for Beryl (or Queen Beryl) as she allowed herself to be manipulated into becoming corrupt by Metalia in order to gain power and Prince Endymion’s love. Being a sorceress meant that she needed to be organized and she loved making sure that her belongings were neat and tidy as well as in order. For a woman of her position, she carried herself with great dignity and had exceptional manners, often times being mistaken for a Lady. Her goal was to marry above her station and she set her sights on the Prince. She utterly hates Princess Serenity both as Beryl and Queen Beryl for stealing Prince Endymion away from her.
 
As Queen Beryl, she became almost cold-hearted, and lacked personality. She lusts for power and darkness has taken over her life. She is extremely determined in her goal to take over everything. She takes joy in making others suffer and the more power she received, the more she craved. She is extremely bossy and does not tolerate failure or excuses, as seen by her out right destroying servants who fail her. She planned on double crossing Metalia, so this is not a problem for her. With her being corrupt, she no longer retains any positive personality traits. She is still completely obsessed with Endymion when she finds him.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
As Beryl, she was a sorceress. After she met Metallia and became Queen Beryl, her powers have grown stronger and uses her powers to mainly drain life force. She is able to corrupt other people and make them do as she wills. She is capable of reviving people although it takes a lot of time. She is capable of using her staff to create spells and attack people. Her favourite way to use her dark energy is in the form of electricity.
 
History:
In the manga, Beryl was portrayed in a more tragic light. She was an Earth sorceress of a lower rank who fell in love with Prince Endymion but her love went unrequited. She became obsessively jealous upon finding out his love for Princess Serenity. Beryl was later corrupted by Queen Metaria, who had detected malice in her heart.
 
Her possession led her to revolt against the Moon Kingdom and disobey the orders of Prince Endymion. When the prince tried to persuade his people not to fight against the people of the moon, Beryl killed him with a sword. She, in turn, was then killed with the Holy Blade by Sailor Venus, but it was too late to win the war when Princess Serenity committed suicide after Endymion's death.
 
After the events in the Moon Kingdom everyone was reborn on Earth, Beryl included. Beryl, a normal woman then, found the ruins of the Dark Kingdom at D Point and reawakened Metalia, thus making Beryl remember her past and make her evil again. She corrupted the four Shitennou and got them to do her bidding. She was determined to find the Silver Crystal and control the world and make Endymion rule beside her. Later, Kunzite killed Mamoru (the reincarnation of Prince Endymion), kidnapped him and took him to Queen Beryl. She then re-awakened him and brainwashed him to make him find the Silver Crystal. When the Senshi found out that Mamoru was brainwashed, a battle began at Game Center Crown. Using her hair to bind Sailor Moon and choke her, she tried to get the secret of the Silver Crystal from her. Sailor Venus remembers what Beryl did in her past life and conjured the Holy Blade once more. Sailor Jupiter used the sword to cut Beryl's hair and free Sailor Moon. After this, Sailor Venus kills Queen Beryl once more with the sword.

With Endymion by her side and all the power she had amassed, she would be able to overthrown Queen Metalia, taking more power for herself. With that, she would rule the world; everyone would bow down to her.
