What are everyone's thoughts on this episode.


I loved it, the feels started so early. I didn't notice any major animation issues. I am surprised at Zoisite's strength. I loved seeing a glimmer of Beryl's back story. All the Usamamo feels. I like how the romance is playing out too. Like they have feelings for each other before they know who they really are, granted I think the dreams are contributing, but I saw evidence in this episode it was mostly feelings discovered on their own. I want tuxedo la smoking bomber so bad, I dont think we are gonna get it. Tuxedo Kamen is just gonna beat up people, which is okay too. OMG so many other things to talk about, like Usagi actually being Usagi with the food.



Kid mamo-chan, omg he was the cutest thing ever. Oh and the watch handkerchief scene

I forgot there was a new episode today.

I really enjoyed this week's episode a lot.  The animation just seems to keep getting better and better.  I loved the creative style they used for Mamoru's flashback scene and I feel like we got to see more details than we did in the original anime, like actually getting to see what Mamoru's parents look like.  The scene where Umino starts acting weird was weird and cute and the scene with Usagi with the ketchup was cute, funny, and gave me the romance feels all at once.  I thought they handled upgrading the technology reasonably well.   I loved the scene where Sailor V talks to Usagi through the arcade game again.  Who plays V-chan in the new series anyway?  Her new seiyuu sounds really amazing and I love how she conveys the sense of a serious and determined leader with her part, which is how Minako is supposed to be.  The fight scene with Zoisite was very emotional and well done and of course I absolutely started squealing when Sailor Venus shows up at the end.  I was hoping she would still be wearing her Sailor V costume because I always thought it looked pretty cool but I loved that they kept her moon boomerang thing from the manga.  I'm really looking forward to the next episode.  The chapter they're covering next is one of my favorites from the manga and I can't wait for it.

Finally we're back to a good written episode. Episode 7 has a same feel to it as episode 5 did. The animation is better and they added a bit of depth to the characters. If only they written all of the other episodes like 5 and 7. Thank good they didn't zoom in on people's faces like did in the last episode. 

I really like it when Usagi's VA speaks in a soft serious tone. If only if she talked like this all the time. 

Also don't mess with Zoisite! He ain't got time for that! 

Oh and Artemis he is the best moon cat.

That Beryl's planning to keep the Crystal for herself! Her whole undertone of not liking how she is being used, so she's taking it back! I love it!!

Mamoru's history is always fun, but I kinda like that they seemed to highlight how he didn't even know if he were Mamoru Chiba XD  !! And then that moment on the bus, where he's like "wth did I tell her all that?" and then the people are like "Sailor Moon totes has the silver crystal" and that just -- KNEE JERK WHAT WAS GOING ON IN HIS MIND THEN?! He had just admitted to her, Usako, Sailor Moon, that he needs the Crystal to regain his memories, she said they had to protect it but she looked like she felt for him, and then to hear that for most people it's common knowledge that she has it?! I mean did he immediately discount the information, or did he have to consider that she was keeping it from him? XD the second option, I think, is the one they were going for, to give added tension towards the end of the episode for a will-he/won't-he trust situation.

!! Umino's creeper moment was hilarious xD

AND HOLY moon turds THE PHYSICALITY?

ZOISITE'S KICK?! Also, "Ya, hai!" is fun to hear when he hit the ground there IN BLAZING GLORY, YES!!  

TUXEDO MASK'S PUNCH TO THE FACE?! 

Artemis's cat scratching?!?


But deep in my Miracle Romance heart, I have to say my favorite part of it all (I mean story wise, because that punch and kick will live with me forever xD) is that this was the episode where Miracle Romance turned away from Manga, Anime, PGSM and Myu backgrounds and stepped into its own canon. Tuxedo Mask got to save Sailor Moon first here, rather than Sailor V. Mamoru made his choice between the Silver Crystal and Usako, out loud, in front of people. While completely hinted at in the other forms, this is concrete. This cannot be brushed aside as reading too far into Mamoru, or seeing only what you want to see. They are making it clear that Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask values Usako/Sailor Moon far over and above himself and the Princess in his dreams, and for someone who has been fighting off argument of "he's only in it because it's his destiny" for years, that felt pretty damn good.

DESPITE USAKO'S FUNKY FEET IN THE BEGINNING. and her stomping around with said feet like a baby dinosaur.

I love what Crystal did with this scene! Mamoru punches zoicite in the face! LIKE DANG! I've always wanted to see this scene between Usagi and Mamoru but I never thought that I would actually see it! IM SO HAPPY! Also when Mamoru smiles at Usagi he looks so cute!

Looks like I'm in the minority here on this one. Don't get me wrong, I love the story content. The manga version's always been my favorite for how rewarding it is to readers. Usagi and Mamoru's initial relationship is super confusing, but once the past life card is revealed, everything fits together so well. I agree with Sailor Uranus that the added layer of Mamoru liking Usagi for who she really was was a very nice touch.

That being said, the animation was terrible this week. Not as bad as episodes 2 or 3, mind you, but it was still really bad. The scene with Usagi, Ami and Makoto on the school bench in particular was so bad. Jupiter's body proportions looked smaller than Usagi's in some shots. And, Toei, if you're going to have Makoto say that something is on Usagi's face, at least make sure the animation looks good before you have a character draw attention to something.

- that gate Beryl goes through reminds me of the door of truth from FMA:B
- I'm glad we see Metalia even if she is like a face kind of in a flame.
- Wow! We get to see some Beryl backstoy! Did this happen in the manga? I haven't read it yet. I like how's she's like gonna backstab Metalia and take the crystal for myself.
- Why does Ami's pad/tablet look like a Apple? Why couldn't they have made their own version?
-Creepy Umino is creepy.
-Yes Usagi cause moving the ketchup from your face to your hands is better >.>
- Creepy Mamo kissing her hanky lol did anyone else notice his eyebrows were over his hair?
-I love how Sailor V keeps poping up to talk to her and that it's Sailor V directing Luna not Artemis.

I thought that was something that was hinted at in the original manga (and then majorly played upon in the live action)? But maybe not and they just went liveaction beryl route.


Ok so while Crystal still doesn't like excite me or anythng, this episode was SOO much better and a lot more enjoyable for me. ALDO DAT TUXEDO PUNCH. Damn Mamo, you a bamf!

That scene with them eating lunch was a bit poorly done but I imagine they'll probably fix it on the Blu Ray.  I personally liked the scene with Queen Metalia and I really liked the animation they used in Mamoru's flashback of his parents.  I also liked that they actually seemed to be showing some damage to the city being done during their fight scene with Zoisite.  That was one thing that I thought was missing from the original anime with how you would always have these massive power battles going on yet the city always seemed to get away unscathed.

In the final battle of S there is massive damage to the city.

I would be remiss to not mention Metallia. This is probably my favorite version of her thus far. I wish they maybe would have made her a bit darker in color tone and more fleshy like in the manga, but I'm just nitpicking at this point.

Even the flashback of Mamoru had one awkward shot where he was getting the car oddly. And yeah, the scale is a bit better. And is it me or do the fights actually seem shorter this time around? Maybe it's because Toei is relying so hard on the material from the manga.

There was that but it seemed like most of the damage only occurred to the Mugen Academy, which was a fake evil school anyway so I'm not sure if that counts.

I think it's that but I also think it's shorter because they're not relying on stock footage for the Senshi's attacks this time.  Most of the fight scenes in the original anime were taken up by stock footage clips of their attacks.

There was a big crater in the city. Also there is damage done to buildings when they fight in the whole show it self. The battles were more contain and usually the big grand battles didn't happen in the city.  

I honestly think the fighting is better in the 90s anime. Yes there was stock footage, but battles lasted longer. They didn't always use stock footage.

Yeah I kind of miss the stock footage attacks. I would have liked a mixture of stock footage attacks and attacks like they are doing in Crystal.

Agreed. Like they said they're falling the manga to a T and the fights weren't really huge.

Honestly I'm just baffled as to why Venus has a better looking transformation than the title character. Those clips in the preview looked gorgeous.

Because it's how MG show works. Just watch precure. The last cure gets the best transformation while the first one aka the leader gets the worst one.

I've always heard jokes about that but I don't watch anime so I wasn't aware that it was an actually something that really happens. That's...interesting.

Well I don't if that's how it really works, but it's what I have noticed with MG shows.

Yeah it makes sense. The animation and writing has improved (well...depending on who you ask) so it would make sense that the transformation would get better to reflect that too. When we get to the BMC arc I hope Usagi gets a really nice transformation too. ;v;

I hope so as well. I really want them to get rid of her noodle arms!

Yeah.  I remember always thinking Zakuro had the coolest henshin scene in Tokyo Mew Mew.  Personally though I quite enjoyed Makoto's and Rei's henshin scenes.  I even like Usagi's a lot.  The only one I don't really care that much for is Ami's.

I think its cause Mercury's transformation ends kind boring with that already poopoo pose she has (which was passable in the old anime but translated AWFUL into the 3D transformations)

Creepy Umino deserves an award. ;3 that whole animation sequence was quite spot on. =D

I thought Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber first appeared in R? As far as I remember anyway, but I wouldn't discount it completely just yet ^^

I liked that Mamoru's backstory scenes had a lot of images that were very reminiscent of the old anime. The crash scene, the scene of him waking up in the hospital even... they were all so similar.

I quite liked this episode, better than the last one anyway! But honestly I just really want to see Venus already. SHE LOOKED SO GOOD IN THE PREVIEW.

I liked the episode, didn't love it. But there wasn't much going on except establishing the love between Usagi and Mamoru, which I did enjoy at times. I'm also a sucker for bad guys holding people against their will and their lover/soulmate coming to save them lol.


I'm not very fond of Sailor V but she just looked so awesome. I can't wait to see her transformation in the next episode!
