I'm at otakon right now and I'm sitting in on a panel about sailor moon. Some of it is about the new anime and the past sailor moon series. We are discussing what we would like to see in the future anime and Naoko's reasons for yanking rights. Apparently the anime will be following the Manga more It's in the contracts for the new anime. Apparently everything covered in the Manga will be in the anime. Also the anime should be coming to America soon after it comes out in Japan. And apparently funamation will have the rights in America.

Is this an industry panel or a fan panel? Because I'm pretty certain Funimation hasn't announced having any rights to the new Sailor Moon anime...

I'm not sure. The guy who we were talking to got most of his information from posts that Naoko put in some Japanese forums. He said he thinks funamation will be the one to dub it. I put this here because this is possibly rumor and I didn't know for sure.

FUNimation announced various anime this week, Sankarea for exemple but NOT Sailor Moon ^^
