Those are interesting...I mean I could see coloured contacts with maybe a small symbol in it somewhere but like this?

some of the merch they are putting out bothers me. feminine pads, chips, now this?

The feminine pads is more just a marketing. It's like a celeb putting their name on something.

When I first saw the  title I thought they would be their color eyes. Like blues for Usagi, Ami, and mina name. Purple for Rei and green for Makoto. Or at the very least their Senshi colors. Like blue for Ami, orange for Mina, Green for Malo, etc etc. I think the designs are more pretty than practical xD

These are similar ones (but hello kitty) that a friend ordered a while back. They look pretty much like this. I'd assume these would look very similar.

It looks like the Mercury ones you'd have a hard time seeing out of.

How would you see out of them?

I love these. Lenses with decorations on them can have a very interesting effect; I've worn several with various floral or swirled designs. However, as they offer no vision correction I will not be able to wear them. ;_; Sad.

For everyone who wonders how you would see out of them: they're clear in the center, over your pupil. Your iris is covered by the design, and you don't see through your iris. Even with elaborate designs, these shouldn't actually impede your range of vision even with enlarged pupils due to typical low-light situations.

These are cosmetic contacts for people that like to do that... I've never worn contacts so it would be interesting to try these out. The ones in the Hello Kitty picture @whitehexe posted look pretty! It would be nice to see a picture of someone wearing them to get a better idea of how they will look. I think Id like to try the Mercury and Jupiter ones.

These seem a bit... absurd to me. Reminds me of things like The Hunger Games and Antivirus - I get being a fan, but taking the fandom all the way to eye decorations?

And at the same time I'm aware I'm being a hypocrite because I'm a huge fan of tattoos and love to see Sailor Moon tattoos on people; and those are definitely a lot more intrusive and you know... permanent.

I agree with you Fire, and I probably would've reacted the same way towards piercings, tattoos and stuff if it weren't for the fact that we're so used to seeing people with tattooed arms etc.
