I've been looking through some manga colourings lately since I just learned that that's a thing. It looked like fun so I gave it a go! It helped me figure out better ways of colouring things I scan in, too!

Which program did you use?

I used Photoshop. I'm not really good with it, but have learned a few things at school. I mostly use Illustrator!

Its beautiful! I love Puu's skin tone.

WOW!! that's really good. I like the evenness of the colors!

Next up-- Miss Usagi! Her collar is blue, I swear. It looks black, but my phone's camera isn't loving the navy blue, I guess. I like her collar navy instead of royal blue.

Done with markers, pencil crayon (for lips and skin), and white out (to touch up white areas). My pencil crayon betrayed me and scraped her by the eye! Oh no.

I decided to draw the royal family of the Moon during the Silver Millennium and of the Earth during the same time. Little Serenity, little Endymion. 

Thought I'd post it before I attempt colouring... in case I totally mess up! Sometimes it's tough for me to know how markers will behave.

I've been trying to develop styles of face and hair that I actually like, and I think I'm getting closer... I think my main issue was (and still kind of is) proportion. Working on it!

Uncoloured Pluto

Tried to post a gif but it didn't work. Couldn't figure out how to delete the post, so this is here (sorry!)

ZOMG ROBOTECH!!!!

I finally got around to finishing up Sailor Pluto with marker and pencil crayon!
The bow was tough since I don't really have the right colour. I had to use a pure red and then layer over it with a reddish brown, and then red again, and so on. I think it turned out a decent colour though.

I did another colouring  I never know what to do with blank backgrounds though. What do you guys do?


And I made a Sailor Saturn wallpaper for myself. I wanted something really basic. I Don't like a busy desktop!

Line work is finished! I decided to do a drawing of Serenity in fashion illustration style. That dress should be on a runway!  

I did the sketch on paper and then scanned it to do the linework in Photoshop.

Well, it's been a while, but I've been improving so I thought I'd post something while I'm browsing other artists' threads! I just finished a series of portraits of the Sailor Quartet girls (re-designed). So here they are!
