The GC Discord Server is a great way to get to know fellow members better and to have fun, laid back conversations together! As with all things, we do have a few rules for everyone to follow in order for everyone to have a good experience on GC.

1. No gossiping or bashing/discussing of any member of the forums. No matter the topic.

2. All of GC's Rules and Code of Conduct apply, including how you talk and treat others. Please note, it's NOT just what you talk about, but HOW you talk to your fellow members.

2a. Some examples of Discord specific spam include (but are not limited to): repetitive messaging over a short period of time; private messaging other members with unsolicited requests to join or participate in projects for websites, forums, RPs, writing, etc.; excessive use of spoiler tags, and posting and deleting messages. Admin discretion will be applied when determining if a member is spamming. Disciplinary action for spamming will be preceded with a warning except in extreme cases of harassment/disruption.

3. Respect the Admin and Moderators if they ask you to be nice or to tell you that you are breaking rules.

4. Please do not spam too many posts. A little is ok, but a staff member will ask you to stop if it gets excessive.

5. Usernames must match your Galaxy Cauldron Username

6. Users may not make multiple accounts.

7. Members must put their nicknames in brackets beside their username, or split it with "|", for example: [Bubbles] Sailor Neptune or Bubbles | Sailor Neptune
8. Bot interactions should be kept in the #bot_official channel or in a club channel where appropriate. Please ask your club leaders if you are unsure.

9. If 3 or more complaints regarding a member's behavior are received by staff and staff come to a consensus that these complaints are justified, that user will receive one strike as per the Rules and Code of Conduct. A second strike (as a result of user complaint or by violation of a rule) will result in the member being considered for removal from the server.

10. Non-Lotus members will be removed from the server if they are inactive for 14 or more days.

The #member_content channel
1. Members may make one post with their content every 24 hours. Posts made twice in a row will be automatically removed by a bot.
1a. This means, please post any relevant links as one post.
2. Any user found posting inappropriate or non-PG 13 content will lose the privilege of posting in the #member_content channel and may face a ban or permaban at admin discretion.
3. Member content is defined as any link to content that you, a member, has produced. Examples include but are not limited to: Tumblr, Facebook, Deviant Art, Etsy, Instagram, Youtube, Livejournal etc.
4. Member content excludes and does not include links to anything that you have not created/posted yourself. Examples of non-allowed links: Videos you have not created, Facebook groups you don't run/moderate, contests that require a friend to join, other social media platforms, other Discords, apps, etc. This list is not inclusive. Please contact an Admin if you are unsure.

The Discord Chat will be moderated by several Admin and Staff members.

Any rule breaking will be noted and taken care of accordingly.

To join the group chat, become a member of GC & visit this thread for the link.

It should open up Discord (if it isn't open already) and add you to the chat.
