I have decided to get a program of my own to use avatars and signatures. I just want to know what everyone uses and if any one has suggestions about which program I should get. I am not that great with making avatars and signatures but I really want to learn. I checked websites for Staples to see what they had in stock that I could get. My online friend that does all my requests suggested that I can one of the Photoshop ones but I don't know when I'll be able to get one of them because they are both a lot of money.

Out of that list only the Paintshop Pro options would likely be useful to you. The others are more like photo editors for changing colors and whitening teeth and such.
I use Adobe Photoshop CS6.

I use GIMP it's a freeware program, but if you're looking something to do all in one stuff I'd recommend Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop Elements. P.S. you should ask this in the guild, there's a lot of artists there that can help you out :3
