| A long, long time ago, way back in the fall of last year, the Roleplaying Admins opened a new position for a Roleplay Assistant, who would tally roleplay posts in a neat document for us to see and hum and haw over. They would not be a public presence in the Silver Millennium section, but more of a force working behind the scenes, like an intern XD - The Silver Millennium Forums Office AU; written fall of 2013:
Venus is the Big Boss Lady, sashaying in with her long hair and pencil skirts, asking for Admin and Mod reports to be put on her desk by November 5th at the latest, zooming through to glance at computer screens to check activity levels, and generally keeping an eye on things.
Then there's Saturn, who checks in and generally fiddles around with the stuff on her desk - that stuff being Sailor Moon figures dressed in medieval garb. Her glaive is leaning casually against the wall behind her, and she's wearing a cute little outfit from her trip overseas.
Neptune is sketching a new advertisement with an assortment of colored pencils and font samples as she chats casually on the phone, "The application is nice - you're doing a great job, but I'm going to need a little bit more on her background if you'd like to be accepted with Advanced status." Her legs are crossed and one is bouncing lightly as shehmms and uh-huh's with the player on the other line.
Pluto, recently promoted, is putting a few new objects around her desk, sprucing up the place to make it hers. She restacks paper reports of different storylines into a neat pile on the corner of the desk, puts a binder clip around them, and takes a seat when the phone rings. She answers, "Silver Millennium Forums, this is Sailor Pluto speaking, how may I help you today? ... A crossover character? Sure, let me direct you to that application..."
Uranus's desk is a mix of colors and spreadsheets, but rather than working on any single RP Game, she's leaning back in her chair, her foot pressing against the desk to make the chair balance on two legs and rock back and forth. She's got a thoughtful expression - one of those 'I'm thinking and I'm angry that nothing is happening" expressions - and suddenly drops down, urgently whispers "Gnomes!" and scribbles something down on paper. Behind her is a bulletin board with words and notes scribbled on it, largest and foremost of which has been added by Venus and reads 'BATTERIES!!'
Then we have our Mods, all dressed in adorable little business suits and skirt sets, rainbow crystal badges pinned proudly to their lapels, and they're dropping off reports with headsets on, keeping in touch with their sections as they're off doing things.
... And then there's the intern. Sitting in the corner, frantically searching through activity reports as they scribble notes and create charts, thumbing through every section report we've got. Their hair is frazzled, their fingers are ink stained, but still Uranus looks up and yells "Intern!" They snap to attention like a caffeine addict, staring wide-eyed (in fear?) over at Uranus, who nods her head, "Hot chocolate please!" They jump up, scattering papers, and run for the lounge.
We found our intern in Anaitlovesall, who has made a rather intricate and easily-updatable spreadsheet for posts. In the spring, with the introduction of the Roleplay Points Card, Anait's tallies were utilized in a new fashion, and the points generated would be carried over to the main Activity Points section. With recent behind-the-scenes changes to the Silver Millennium section, we have decided to promote Anaitlovesall from humble-over-worked-Intern to full Rainbow Crystal Moderator, who will continues to do humble over-worked-Intern-like things along with helping us organize our Welcome Boards and keep them clean! She will also be stepping in as moderator of different sections when our mods go on LOA's! So happy promotion, Anaitlovesall! Standing at her desk, a new "Acting Head" sign stapled to her bulletin board, Sailor Uranus glances over at Neptune, Pluto and Saturn secretively. "Hey, Intern!" Uranus calls, her full attention on the computer screen as she moves her mouse to update hit points of various monsters and players in the Decay event. Quickly she picks up a pair of dice and tosses them, then consults a spreadsheet before updating a page. Anaitlovesall's head pops up, and with a distracted c'mere-nod from Uranus, she hurries over from her desk to stand on the other side of the admin's, waiting patiently, though she did have a few things to do... Uranus glances up and asks, "Would you mind cleaning up the Welcome area? We've got some old posts on the billboards and I think someone might've spilled some hot chocolate on the floor. Not naming names or anything." Anait's eyes twitch; she knew exactly who could have split hot chocolate and left it... "Sure thing," she replied anyway; she enjoyed helping out. She started to walk away. "Cool, thanks," Uranus replied, still looking at the screen. "Would you also mind running all your reports down the hallway to the main forums?" Anait returned to Uranus's desk, waiting for her to finish. "We're going to start having our activity points carry over to the main site so roleplayers can use their words towards adopting those adorable egg things the Queen has made." "Uh, okay," Anait replied, turning to leave once more. "And Anait?" Uranus called, stopping her in her tracks yet again, "A moderator or two have informed us that they're going to be away for a bit during the month. Would you mind filling in for them?" Here Anait paused, a little confused. "You mean like moderate a section while they're gone?" "Yeah, something like that." "Um... okay," she replied. "Great," Uranus commented, then opened a desk drawer to retrieve something small. "Then you're going to need this." She offered the object to the intern, her eyes looking up mischievously as she deposited a Rainbow Crystal moderator pin in Anait's outstretched hand. "Welcome to the team!" Sailors Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn cried, all three hopping up from their chairs to cheer appreciatively. "Congratulations!" Uranus added, looking fondly at the smiling new moderator. "Your training starts now. Diana is waiting for you in the training room." She pauses, then adds, "On your way, could you grab me a hot chocolate?" Anait turns around, walking neatly out of the room. "Go get your own!"
