Actually, I may also make this a two-parter for people who prefer to draw their designs. So one using the doll maker and the other for more conventional artists.

!! Maybe allow for more than just the Senshi doll maker? Like any doll maker, just for some variety? It'd be tougher to judge, but would allow for more creativity. Armor, ball gowns (haha...for fighting? yeah.)) maybe have different categories to go for? Like Emphemeral (overwhelm them with prettiness?), Battle-Ready (like for armor and such), etc.? The only constant would be a sailor collar (which can be drawn on or whatever). 
Maybe make those categories secret, and at the end everyone who enters gets some sort of award, but the Grand Champion is the real "winner"? ((like so-and-so won the "Most Amount of Pink in a Sailor Fuku I've Ever Seen" Award, and that-one-guy won the "Puella Magi Sailor Moon" Award, etc., based on what they submit, but Super-Awesome-Designer wins the "Sailor Moon Fuku Makeover Grand Champion" award, or whatever)).

>D 8 days is plenty for a good writing prompt. The longer you let people sit with something, the less likely they are to submit (pressure is a good motivator). Maybe require a lower word count to entice people, or suggest no word count at all and just see how it flies? 


  I don't have any other celebration suggestions to offer (besides a few I threw at Mars a while ago XD), which is good as I won't be here during the celebration     !    but obviously I'm all over the OH GOOD IDEA - KYRA SUGGESTION thing.

Hmmmm...I'd have to talk to Mars about it before I give an answer, just to make sure it really is okay xD I personally don't have a problem with it as long as you have the same amount of time as every one else to do it =P

Ooh I love those suggestions. I decided to stick to the senshi doll maker because you can actually accurately depict Usagi and Chibiusa there (face/hairstyle-wise anyway) and it'd keep the theme consistent. Too much variety can get difficult to judge solely on the outfit (when voting, people might decide that other doll maker is prettier or maybe they like another doll maker's style better overall).

But I can use those other categories! I intended to have the winner decided by a public poll, but I can also give out extra awards for the 'secret' categories so more people will get something. I may need a small team of judges for this.   

Oh! I was going to comment on Uranus' expansion of Mercury's idea and totally forgot lol xD I think the categories is also an awesome idea!!! Kind of like you guys did for the GC Olympics =] It makes for a fun surprise at the end, plus you get to give the people that maybe didn't win the contest an award and help them feel good about their work =]

@Mercury - I'd be willing to help out if you'd like! I've never judged before, but it sounds like fun!!

Ooh, and maybe special compilation thread? For like their Birthday-themed fic (from years past on here, or with people submitting favorite birthday-themed fics (maybe even just good usagi-and-chibiusa relationship fics) from other sites like fanfiction.net - all sourced and whatnot) and artwork (again, sourced) to give a wall of PRETTY and OOOH on their actual birthday?

and yeah, 8 days is a lot of time. people usually submit lots of entries.

and i'll leave it no limit, this might help some folks who come up with OVER 1000 words in the fics and then have to cut it short

Venus sent this idea to Mars, like Uranus did(Which I LOVE your idea that you sent her btw =P and would be willing to host in your honor if you're not going to be here. I'd hate to see the awesome idea go to waste xD). I think a rpg where we throw them a surprise party would be awesome! We could role play as ourselves, for those who don't have otakus! We could just pretend to be friends who don't know that they're Sailor Moon/Chibi Moon! yup! maybe it could have something to do with "throwing a party" instead of celebration/birthday. it's similar but slightly different

yes I can do that. I can use the time to search for images. 

What about having different images like 3-4 max and digital coloring or paper coloring (medium of choice) for participant. I will just need help with prizes and such. I can try to make something, but idk if I will have the time. I am excited for this and being able to help this year.

i would say 1 entry per person, but if they want to color them all they can  just submit the one they feel is the best. Just to be fair...someone may only do 1 and someone else may do 3, so I wanna have a level playing field.

Hmmmm...I have no problem with them being able to do it however they want, but I think there should be some rules to it. Such as the 'you can only pick one to send in' rule. Plus, no like photoshop or anything. But I like the idea of being able to choose the image ^^ Are there going to be any restrictions on it? Like it must include pink? Or be only pastel colors? Or just, do whatever you want =P

Maybe we should have a game or something dedicated to Crystal too? We could have a drawing contest where people draw Crystal versions of SM characters and judge based on who does the best job of capturing Crystal's art style. I've seen people do Uranus and Neptune on tumblr. What do you guys think? Is that too much?

I'd like to host a Graphic Contest where participants have to make a signature that involves Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon in the signature. Senshi, Princess, Civilian, or Crystal Tokyo appearance is okay.

Hmmmm...I like both of those ideas, but I think there might be too much....creative-y? Things? We have a fuku doll makeover, writing contest, coloring contest and then drawing and signature? Might be a bit too much =o Maybe we could combine your two ideas in to one? Like a new layout for the tumblr page based on Sailor Moon Crystal? That way we are incorporating Crystal and a graphic-y one? Is that a good compromise to you both? Or would you like to do your own ideas? I'm just throwing the idea out there =P If you want to do your own things that's fine as well! Or we could do a graphic contest and come up with another idea to incorporate Crystal...it's up to you two ^^

Hmmmmm, I dunno how to go about it or if it's possible and I think it'd be kinda up to NQS but!!! Maybe instead of a signature graphic contest...we could hold a contest a week before the bash starts and it could be to make a graphic header for the site to use during the bash? That might be kinda fun =o Just an idea expanded on to Lusts' ^^ Up to you if you want to see if that'd work or stick to signatures ^^

Annnnd as for Crystal, the problem is that it hasn't been aired yet. I can't really include it in to the trivia and pictures have already been released or we could do a doll maker on what you think Sailor Moon/Chibi Moon would look like in it =[ Maybe one or two of the images for the coloring contest could have a picture from Crystal?? Any other ideas to incorporate Crystal in to this somehow, anyone? =O

Sorry for the double post but I think I might of came up with another idea =D We can even get a little group of judges to judge it and it'd be cute, silly and fun =P A cake decorating contest!! I found a link to a cool little anime looking girl making the cake. You can choose the two layer of cake color/flavor, add little decorations and it's the first one I've found that you can write on! I'm still on the hunt for an even better one, never know unless you look! But I think it'd be a cute little game ^^

Oooh! This sounds cool. I had wanted a SM theme cake for my bday back February! If we did this we should we include cupcakes too? I think I've seen people make SM theme cupcakes (even cookies too).
