| Has any one else seen this movie? I just watched it last night and I was was thoroughly upset at it. I was so excited to see it! And in the beginning it was alright, a little slow, but it picked up a bit and became more interesting. Then it got really really reallllllllllly sloooooooooooow. And then the ending was okay. I was really excited about this movie and it was disappointing to me =[ Was a two hour movie of which they could of cut out a whole hour basically because nothing really happened. I dunno, I just found it kind of boring xD So I thought I'd see what you guys thought! |

| I completely agree with you. It was like an in-and-out sort of movie. I was really bored throughout most of it. There were lots of ways the movie could have improved. I wouldn't watch it again unless I had to, honestly. |

| Did you read the book yet? I think it might not make much sense for someone who hasn't read it. It does feel rushed to me, though it's also long. I noticed they tried to pack in as many scenes from the book as possible, but it's got like... 500 pages so. I feel that it's a good enough adaptation but as always if you really want to get the meat of the story, the book would give you that. The relationships portrayed had nowhere near enough time to develop in the movie and I doubt you'd feel the emotions involving some of the side characters as much if you'd only watched it. It'd be like... "Oh, someone died. Wait, but who's he again?" At least that's what it felt like to me.
They tried to make the ending a bit more interesting, I guess, but again, it had time constraints. It's only the first in a trilogy though so I guess the climax isn't meant to be the be-all-end-all just yet. (Though the actual climax in the third book is even more disappointing but hey that's for another day) |

| The book's concept never really sat right with me in the first place, so the movie didn't make it any better (I haven't read the books at all, so I have no idea if the Divergent idea was explained better in it). The main character was just kind of...there. Her emotions weren't really shining through until maybe the end. I just wasn't feeling any strong connections with anyone on screen. |

| The book is literally one of the best I've ever read. The movie just didn't live up to my expectations. But I highly recommend reading the book - it's fantastic |
