I think the moon stick has a feature where it can light up but don't quote me on that.   I think they probably are considered "toys" but based on their price it's basically more like a collectors item imo.

The Moon Stick has toy features. It has a dial on the bottom knob and when you press the star it lights up and plays music. It has two main settings--with voice or without voice--and plays different music and performs different light patterns for each of those settings depending on how long you hold down the button and whether or not the Silver Crystal is installed in the wand. I expect the same sound-and-lights toy features from the Cutie Moon Rod.

This one is really tempting (I didn't really like the look of the Moon Stick) but it's so expensive and huge. I'm running out of space/money as it is xD

AmiAmi has it cheapest for like 80 bucks, though. But I think they're sold out now. They might restock.

The Moon Stick does have Kotono's voice for the "with voice" options. I expect the same for the Cutie Moon Rod.

What about the sound effects? Are they the same as the old ones? Those you can hear in the anime?
(Because damn, I'm in love with the RMHA "DUM DUM DUM DUM DUDUM", so it HAS to be here if they do the Spiral Heart Moon Rod!)

The Moon Stick has the background and attack sound effects from the anime. I had to return my original one because it did not function correctly and the replacement has not arrived, so at the moment I cannot detail it for you. When the new one arrives I can provide more information.

As this is what the features for the Moon Stick do, I am expecting something similar for the Cutie Moon Rod. I hope that it will have two modes--one with dialogue and one without. It has already been confirmed that it will involve the music and lights for the Moon Princess Halation attack, recorded by Kotono. It has also been confirmed that there will be an R movie "Special Edition" version of the Moon Princess Halation attack, with slightly different music and light-up pattern.

hey guys I found this and the Moon Stick much cheaper than on Jlist. 

Moon Sitck on CD japan for 81.48 and the Cutie Moon Rod on CD Japan for 91.47

but shipping is steep. I was able to get both for around 250 express insured and tracked shipping and all. So I know it's a little steep and all but still it's a start right?


even my budget savvy dad said that was a good price for both with out winning an auction on ebay or something.

I've found CDJapan to always be cheaper than sites like Jlist, but the shipping is about the same considering they ship straight from Japan, I'm not surprised.
