Sailor Moon will air July 5th 2014

Start time is 7pm Japan time

There will be 2 episodes per month on the 1st and 3rd Saturday/Sunday of each month.

So just based on the information we have.... That means 13 months of Sailor Moon showing... I'm not sure how I feel about that... I'd like to think that means that would give them plenty of time to make more??

That's still really odd that these are in English and not Japanese. Like, v v v odd. Are there zooms and whatnot to confirm or another source? I am so skeptical lol cause it's just odd.

i'm guessing Trollei, are doing WONDERS with the animation, because to make 2 episodes a month, i'm guessing super-mega-ultra animation with the best of the best animators and the best technology in the planet >_>

Mars, from what I understand, MiiP is like a branch in France so they were sending that out to the market around there or something? So i guess they translated some of that in english? Because if you read it, it reads like the English Crystal page they put up on the official website. Same wording and all.

well if they have to sub it into what was it 13 languages or something like that?  maybe that's why it is 2 a month

Kinda disappointed that they aren't doing a longer episode length with just two episodes/month. And 13 months is quite a long time. I feel like the chances of seeing the other four seasons are slim now if each season is going to take 13 months. 5+ years is a lot of time to invest in a series, especially an older one when Toei could use the resources to fund multiple shows in that span of time.

That's an extra 6-9 minutes of episode, isn't it?

It depends, will there be ads? Cause the old one ran for 30 mins with ads. Maybe there won't be this time? That would be cool.

There might be a chance that we have to pay a subscription (like $5) - but that hasn't been confirmed - so I would assume it would be ad-free.

That is a lot of episodes for a season and that seems like a long damn time to wait for each episode. I was hoping for a lot more condensed version of the series. From my stand point, it feels like they were kind of lazy with this entire thing. It was like they decided to do this, regretted mentioning it, and now have no choice except to continue what they said to hold by their word. Seeing the rest of the series doesn't seem promising.

Yeah, I know a lot of people are saying that fans shouldn't complain about the new designs because they are only concept art but my thing is....why did they show concept art? This show is coming in three months. Concept art is something that should have been shown either last year or the beginning of this year. Shouldn't we being seeing the final designs of all the main characters? They still have to show Mamoru, Beryl, the generals, ect.

@Guardian-of-Earth: You should be able to use a time conversion online to figure out what time it'll be on in your time zone.

You guys have to remember this show is Japanese, so maybe things work differently with making a show there. In other parts of the world concept art may be released a year before the show comes out and maybe in Japan concept art comes out several months before the show is released. Japan is a very, very, very different place from the rest of the world.

Well even if there is ads it will make the show more suspenseful right?

I don't really think that's a good excuse. For instance, there have been American companies that push out things that aren't the quality they should be. The Sims 4 is somewhat an example of that. They announced the game last May and showed a trailer in September. A lot of fans were dissatisfied by what was shown (I really liked the style of the new Sims though). However, even though they've been silent about the game for FOREVER, they have been slowly showing pics of new Sims and they look GREAT so you can see how the developers have listened to fans while still keeping the style of the game they wanted. 

The overall point is that since EA showed off the Sims early and then delayed the release of the game. That way the developers were able to work on the game even more so that the fans who were upset could be pleased too and the fans who were already pleased (like me) are pleased even more. A lot of people are worried that not much will be changed with the designs since Crystal isn't that far away (even if it might seem like it).

Also Square Enix (a Japanese company) has delayed Final Fantasy XV (which was FF Versus 15) for like 6 years and they haven't released a lot of information about it (like there is literally only like 2 or 3 trailers for the game) but the info released gets people hyped about the gameplay/graphics/etc (I don't plan on buying it but I will admit bitterly that it looks great). That's how I feel like Crystal should be. Instead the fandom and people who aren't even in the fandom are arguing about whether or not the designs are bad. *sighs loudly* I'm sorry for writing a lot.

I'm glad it's 26 episodes. Hopefully that means we will have a filler or two for character development. I am not pleased that Crystal is based off of the manga. I really hope that they take a spin on it like PGSM. 

As for it taking 13 months? That's like a year and month. Eh. I don't care either way.

Will the episodes have english subtitles? Or else if they don't everything will sound like BLADIFILXUMACAWRONQITY to me.

It will be subtitled in 10 different languages, according to the press release.

There is but that one's not official, it's fan-made.

It's from the first episode of the 90s anime. I've seen the video on Youtube, it's very well made. I believed it was real when I first saw it.

I admit I haven't been following this news very closely. Shame on me.  

But does anyone know how we will be able to watch in the US? Has it been bought by US channels, or web only? I'd even pay something reasonable. I'm so afraid I'll miss it.

I think it's web only, and it's being streamed in Japanese with multiple language subtitles. Not sure if we have to pay to see it or not.
