All the previous actresses of Satomi's generation, with the exception of Ami's actress, are returning! Ami/Sailor Mercury will be played by Koyama Momo. Yuuga Yamato will also be returning to play as Tuxedo Mask.

Also a DVD for La reconquista was announced to come out in July.

The girls all look cute! I just hope the singing is improved. Hopefully Satomi has been taking lessons.

I think technically this thread is but the designs for the new anime greatly overshadowed the announcement of the musical...so no one is really talking about it. But I am really excited about it. The new Mercury looks really cute!

Okay! But yeah I do agree with you about the singing and I hope it's improved. I really liked Yuga and the woman who played Queen Serenity but I can't stand listening to the Shitennou sing. It just sounds bad to me.:bunnysad:I also hope they have some catchier songs too.

Yes, the thing that dragged down La Reconquista for me was the music (nothing really exceptional) and the singing. The plot was overall well done. I'm curious to see who they get to play Chibiusa and Pluto though and how they treat the story.

The Black Lady musicals (summer 01 and winter 02) were really well done and I love the changes and additions they did with it. Its going to be hard to top those musicals for me.

I agree with the comments about the singing. I hope this has given everyone practice and time to improve.

Yeah I think they'll (hopefully) but a lot of work into this myu since we are beginning to reach the peak of the anniversary celebration since the anime is arriving.

It's pretty much just speculation right now but at least the new Mercury is adorable! Hopefully she will be good.

I also think she is cute and adorable!! I was just curious as why she was the only one to be changed   

Possibly the last actress couldn't do it or wasn't interested?

I have to agree with you here Brit. I am going to try and watch the new one unbiased, but it will be difficult....especially considering my username  no one can top Hikari.

It looks like they tried to get everyone back, so my guess is Miyabi wasn't available. I think I remember her saying in an interview that she already had something else lined up after La Reconquista so she might be one of those more experienced actresses who has a lot going on? I know it'd be much easier for the newcomers to come back because it'd be silly to pass up the opportunity and they might not have as much going on.

Either way I'm excited for this cast. I watched the old Black Lady musicals just recently though so it'd be weird and I'd have to try hard not to compare.

Yeah, most (not all) of the old musicals have studio recorded versions of the songs. There were 13 of those albums in all. With a few other albums that have songs that weren't included on the main memorial albums.

For some reason, i'm not convinced with the new Mercury, i guess i have to see her act. but so far...meh :/

did they change the fuku's a bit the bottome layer of the shirts look more sparkly.

thanks- i was looking and they look the same too but something seems more sparklie and @ Merc- they sure did set a high bar for Prince Demand. i am excited to see who they cast though- are they keeping it takarazuka style?

Soooo... isn't this supposed to broadcast today? Anyone have any more information about it?

It was supposed to be livestreamed on NicoNico. Thought its probably already happened as its now the 7th in Japan. I believe Miss Dream was going to rip the stream and sub it and have it out by tomorrow? Something like that.

yay, i am excited for this one. The pics I have seen on tumblr make me eager to see the actual musical. I just wish people wouldnt say they are sera myu, they are separate musicals.

I hope the songs are better in this one. .. I miss Sailor War so much.

miss dream has the songs up avaiable for download. I can't stop listening to the songs.

Personally, I am not a big fan of most songs in Petite Étrangère. Many of Black Moon clan's songs didn't have this menace that I expected them to hold, which resulted in them not feeling threatening, and majority of the songs don't get me excited for some reason.

However, I do like some of the songs and my favorite is definitely Chronos Guardian (Who Goes There?) ~ I was hoping for Pluto's song to be one which leaves a quite deep impression, and it did do that. I think it has the best music of the musical and I would like to hear a studio recorded version of it. (One can hope)

I also liked Ai no Starshine more than We Are the Pretty Guardians from last year, this new theme song seemed to have a touch of the 90's anime image songs in the melody which was a nice little detail. Silver and Black was also a good one. I hope the other songs will grown on me over time.

Lastly I want to say that this is just how I personally feel, and if you love all the songs, that's great! ^^

So is the entire musical available now or is it only just the songs?
