So am I the only one kind of bummed that they didn't put Mamoru on any of the new covers of the manga? I think he's an rather important part of the story!! :scratch:

Well, they might have run out of room. I would also have liked to see a group cover of the kitties.

I think that it is a huge travesty that Mamoru never made it to the manga covers. He is a gorgeous figure and is drawn beautifully in the manga. Seriously. Once it reaches the SuperS arc he is just gorgeous.

I get what you mean, but I don't have a problem with him not being there - I mean, he's there and he's an important character, sure, but at the end of the day the story really belongs to the girls IMO. Which is one of the things I love about it.

Oh, I understand why he isn't there. Sailor Moon is basically about the female figure, so it would probably be "anti-sailor moon" to have a male figure on the cover. However, I feel that Mamoru is not as underrated as he is sometimes attempted to be portrayed as. After all, without him, Usagi would not be complete.

Without him, there would be no Chibiusa and I doubt Crystal Tokyo would exist, at least, not as we know it.

Sure, but he's still not the focus any more than the girlfriends in superhero comics are. *g* It's not the same as not being an important figure or not being a good character, buuuut.

Well, Mamoru did appear on the covers of the Sailor Moon manga, just never had one just by himself. This I can understand though because this is a magical girl comic so they're going to want to "heroines" more than the male cast.

I know it was about the girls and all but I totally would have been satisfied him being on the cover with Usagi and/or chibiusa. After all Usagi's and Mamoru's love was also another part of the story, a beautiful part! I believe the one posted above is one of the short stories manga, which at least he was on that one! ^_^

And don't get me wrong, I love the manga and the choices they made for the re-release! It just would have been nice to see him. :albino:

I am. I can understand never putting him on the anime covers, because he was freakin' useless in the show. He has MUCH more purpose in the manga.
