| Tomorrow night, at 6pm Central, the Writing Guild will be hosting it's first Writing Workshop!Topic: Original Character Creation! Learn to build a believable and well-rounded character from the ground up with help from experienced guild members! Workshop Format: Run like a panel at a convention, the workshop will start with our experienced oc creators (panelists) sharing their favorite original character, providing a link to that character's profile (anywhere on the web), and then going into what methods they used to create that character, starting from the ground up. They'll share their favorite character profile skeleton (if they use one) and any resources or references that they usually use when creating a new character. During this phase, attendants are encouraged to follow along, opening new tabs and (maybe, sorry I'm a nerd and I do this) take notes with the hints and tips that are shared. When this phase ends, the panelists will be open to answer questions from OC-newbies, or people who would like help creating, finishing, or sprucing up their characters to get them ready to RP or write into that new story! Workshop Times: We'll start at 6:00 PM CST, and plan to end around... well probably shooting for 8:00? But you can come and go as you please. ^^ ((XD just like a real convention, lol)) Workshop Bonus/Note: During this workshop, the first RP Mentors/Buddies will be paired together, with more experienced OC creators pairing up with those who want a little more help; these pairs will be working together over PM, Skype, and any other means they find comfortable to get characters (or storylines, or whatever the buddy needs help with) up to shape! If you miss this meeting and would like to be or have a mentor, a new board will appear after the meeting where you can sign up to be one or the other! This Workshop will be hosted on Skype. Skype is a free downloadable instant messaging service - google "Skype" to download! To sign up (to be added to the workshop chatroom), fill out the following form, please! Will you be participating as a panelist (You've got advice to offer and a working OC creation method to share!) or a guest (I'm all ears! and I have questions)?
