Hello cosplayers! This guild has been a little too quiet lately, so with some advice, I figured a nice little cosplay contest would be in order! Now this isn't a case of you taking pictures of yourself in a costume, this is going to be a cosplay design contest! Meaning you will be provided a theme, and see where your creative muse can take you! As of right now, because this is an experimental contest, there are no prizes aside from saying you had the most creative design from a bunch. If anyone would like to provide a prize, please feel free to send me a pm stating so and what you would like to offer. Now let's get this party started!


Cosplay Design Contest

So let me explain, there will be 2 categories. The first will be Doll, which means you can use any doll maker you can think of, be it Senshi maker, Fairy Maker, whatever! Sky is the limit. The second category is Drawing, which is where the entry will consist of an actually drawn out design, digital or traditional, sketch or complete image with coloring. Drawing skill does not matter, only the design.

Rules!

Rule 1. All participants are allowed 2 entries, whether it is 2 in the same category or one in each category. But two is the limit.

Rule 2. The goal is to try to design the type of cosplay you would enjoy wearing that fits the theme. If the theme is Beaches and you want to be a Fairy of Beaches from the Winx Club, then design a cosplay to that end. You do not have to design a senshi cosplay unless you want to. You are allowed to be characters from Anime, like say, if you want to be Stocking Angel from Panty and Stocking and the theme is beaches, you can design an awesome new bathing suit or summer lolita outfit.

Rule 3. If you are drawing, this must be a new art for this contest. Please do not take other peoples art and say “this is what I want to dress up as!”. Bases are provided down below to draw your design on to keep things fair.
