Over the last little bit we have been waiting and wondering and now we have some new info. Some of you probably already know this but just in case there are a few moonies out there that don't several things have been announced, like Character designer, Music Composer and the Art Directors for the upcoming new anime! I am beyond Excited!!

It's nice to get a concrete update after so long! Hopefully the new July release date is solid this time!!

According to Wiki, the manga first appeared in Nakayoshi on February 1992 and the anime started airing merely a month later, March 1992. If this information is accurate, they managed to do the anime within the month of the manga being released. It means when they mean to do it, they can get it done really quickly. It makes me wonder what all the delays have been about. o_o

Well maybe this time their trying to give us the best anime they can? I mean there were parts of the original that were lacking and i would like to see the best possible anime for Sailor Moon.

Still waiting for an animation cell or some animation clip to kill the doubt I have built from the last two years of delays, mistranslations in news, and false dates.

I dunno, I feel like they haven't really done anything until this year, I mean they probably just picked out the staff recently, so >_> Trying not to lose hope but I hope the wait is worth it ^^

So have they decided the date? Or is it "summer" again?  

It's July 2014 as of now, no specific date yet.

I cannot wait for the new anime! I actually just found SM at the end of last year and finished watching the ENTIRE in around two to three weeks and I was so freaking excited to learn of the new anime! Only a couple more months! By the way... Is it weird that im a dude that loves Sailor Moon?

I'm really excited about this, even though it's only the tiniest tidbit of information. ♥

Nope, not at all. I'm a guy that likes SM and we have another few here on the forum.

Anyone know what the 8 countdown thing is that was leaked along with the title and image? What exactly are they counting down for? The show won't be released until July, so what happens when the 8 days are up? Will a trailer for the new anime be released? Or something else?

The count down originally was for the image that got leaked. Once the image was leaked, they took the countdown down (as far as i could tell) and put the leaked image up in its place.


I'm sure a trailer will be released but there has been no definitive information on that.

I was digging around and I think I may have found a possible release date of July 5th at 7:00 AM (6:00AM ET). Now if it does air at that time what time would it be in the Twin Cities in Minnesota in the United States? I'm not good with time zones and stuff so if someone could help me out that would be great Oh and the information I found also said that new episodes would air every first and third Saturday of every month.

I read somewhere that for Niconico premium users that you'd be able to view the stream at other times. I think that when it airs in Japan time they won't adjust it for international times, but its possible they might? there hasn't been anythign concrete said about that.
