So you guys, how do we wanna tackle the Olympics and come out on top?

So what exactly... is going on lol I'm so confused.  Do we work together to send in a single contest entry for each or each send in our own individual entries or...?

That's for everyone to decide ^^ You can all come up with techniques/ideas to use. You can all contribute and work together or you can all strategize for everyone to submit an entry to increase your odds, etc.

I think I have an idea for the Ring Design contest. It looks pretty cool in my head, I just hope I can draw it properly xD

Also, does anyone have anything they want to particularly tackle and discuss? Perhaps the uniform contest or senshi maker contest? We can't win if we don't participate! And if we don't discuss, we're not really functioning as a team!

Let's brainstorm for both! I must admit though I'm not very great at coming up with ideas/stories for creating characters but I can (try to) make pretty outfits? lol

i like that image for a logo and agree that red and black would stand out, but maybe we could incorporate purple somewhere.

I don't have many ideas for the create-a-senshi contest yet ;-; But I am brainstorming! Nor am I very good at making graphics so the poster contest might be out of my league xD

I plan to work on the Ring Contest today and I plan to sketch up some uniform style thingies for a uniform today too. Are there any kinds of styles people would like to see? It has to have a t-shirt and shorts, right? I was thinking that we should incorporate a sailor collar thingy at least. We have a basic color scheme and a logo now, so that's good xD

I just got into the team, so I just found out that you guys are planning to do an specific color scheme for the senshi-maker contest.
I kind of made one already to get some practice, and I thought I'd show it here for approval.



I haven't sent it yet, in case anyone's worried. I have one question, does it have to be like, Sailor Hades or any Mars related goddess since we're on the Mars team, or it still can be any other goddess?

Blake - the color scheme we've been discussing is actually for the team uniforms, but if you want to incorporate it into your senshi that's cool to!

Could modify it a little bit, like "Olympic Team" instead of "Lifting Team." Change "Mars" to "Mars' Red Hot Chibi Kickers" and maybe throw in a chibi-Mars doing some sort of winter Olympic sport, rather than a summer Olympic sport.

That's modifying the whole thing, silly. Besides, I was just posting it to post it because when I saw it, I thought of the Olympics

Okay here are two really messy sketches of some uniforms. I planned on doing more, but I've had no time to make more yet. I also messed around with a few ideas for a logo. I'm kind of leaning towards the gradient one. Maybe a gradient symbol with fire? I dunno =P

Anyway, that's all I have so far. Any opinions? I can switch things up, change things, different colors, etc. All of these are really messy at the moment, since they're just for brainstorming xD

I'm working on some ideas of my own as well!   I like the idea of using a gradient but it might be too busy for a logo?

Personally I prefer the more traditional sport type considering the olympic theme.

The contest closes much sooner than I thought o.O Thought Mi has said that using doll makers is okay for the Uniform contest, so maybe more people will want to participate because of that?

Now I am unsure if I should draw the thing out, or if I should use a doll maker base since those are better quality than anything I can produce hah   

How is everyone doing with all of the contests? Some of them are closing fairly soon! o.o!

Well the uniform contest says 'tshirt and shorts' so... does the doll maker even have tshirts? Seems like it'd be more limiting than useful in this situation! The contest is based on our designs and not on drawing skills so don't worry about it!  (Besides your "messy sketches" look much nicer than anything I can draw anyways! lol)

Pretty happy with my design although I'm unsure about the logo... can you tell it's supposed to be flames behind the Mars symbol?  I have alternative flames I could try out...   

I also wanted to incorporate some tall socks but am stumped for design ideas outside of normal stripes.

As for the contests... WOW they are ending soon (tommorow!). Snuck up on us... anyways for the uniform we can submit individual entries or do we want to submit one for the whole team?  I'm still a little confused on this as each contest has different rules... wish they were more consistant.   

I have a vague, kind of simple idea for the rings contest. But it says not to share your entries so... I guess this one is completely individual (defeats the purpose of teams?)...

I'll definitely try to whip something up for the team poster contest as well!  

As for the senshi maker - that is outside of my element. Especially with a theme I know so little about.    I'd totally be up for making something pretty but then you have to create a character with it, give her a story... nope. No can do. lol
(Unless someone wants to give me a character?)

So with my lack of knowledge on the table.. Blake how did you incorporate the Olympian/Greek/Roman theme into your senshi? Other than the names, that's pretty obvious lol

I'm having a hard time deciding between the two senshi you posted. I'm more familiar with Hades and like the color scheme for her (also dat hair), but I think I like Gaia's design and accessories better.  Both are very nice though and like I said I don't know much about the theme so I might not be a good judge.

Verdi and Pocky, your designs are magnificent. I think we should finalize those designs and submit them.

I tried to investigate Gaia a little, but there wasn't anything from her that I could incorporate into the Senshi I made, and I haven't looked Hades up, so what I was focusing on for both the Senshi was making them look like warriors, I guess.
I think I'm gonna look for something in Hades so I can 'upgrade' the one I already made.
