| I'm a photoshop freak, though I'm slightly convinced I should be coloring on Sai sometimes due to Naoko's textures. Oh well. As for the animations, that was me getting carried away. I'm going to do Rei next, so I'll post that on here and Tumblr when I'm done! |

| Thank you both! I'm glad so many people like them! I didn't think people would like manga colors as compared to fanart, but I guess I was wrong! |

| Never underestimate the power of a colored manga panel. If done correctly, it can take a scene and moment to new heights. ^^ |

| Oh my god. I saw the Ami one on tumblr and absolutely loved it. I didn't know you were the one behind these colorings. Very creative. Keep it up. |

| Good Job! Yeah, manga colorings tend to be slow.. Although all of a sudden since I have been doing them on tumblr I see them a LOT more since I have been watching the sailor moon tage for a month now, and they are slowly gaining popularity All mine are manga scans from original book too ^^ I love coloring them Keep up the good work! |

| How long did it take you to do Ami's mouth? O.o Did you have to go searching for different mouths? |

| Galaxia, you're mangacoloring is amazing! I love how you color the hair!
I did all the mouths and the eye closing by hand. It took me three hours to do all together. I had a hard time because I wasn't sure if I was drawing the mouth movements right.

| Wow! It looks better than an anime, actually. An anime mouth usually does not form words when talking, the round circle just opens and closes. You actually did lip movement. I commend you! |

| WAIT. That was YOU on Tumblr?! I don't believe it! Not only are your manga colorings themselves just awesome, you add a unique touch by animating them!
And I am personally enamored by manga colorings. It's amazing to see scenes in the manga in full color! |

| Thanks, Rebecca~ I figured that it would look weird if I just made the lips flap. YES! It is I! XD The animations were never actually planned, but they're so much fun to use and I love seeing them come to life! New picture by the way: I know I said I'd do Rei next, but I needed to get my avatar out of the way. This is Morpheus and, as you can see, his hair is huge. I regret nothing! I'm going to move on to birthday animation for Usagi and Chibiusa now! |

| If you slow them down a good bit, i think they may look better. The reason your other animations work and are appealing is because they have subtle animations. So instead of completely changing the manga coloring into something else, it improves it. |

| Warning: This part is going to be image heavy~ So I decided to upload some of my Sailor Moon drawings considering they're just gathering dust in my sketchbook~ This is the only picture I colored in photoshop. Now you know why (The coloring is terrible!) It's one of the characters that appears in my story: Or a tiny second one (This one was done months ago though): The next one is a tiny scene from my story and probably the BEST Usagi I have ever drawn in my LIFE (I have no idea what she's slanted though): This is Rei in Mars armor? I don't know. I was trying to be creative: The last one is a request from one of my friends to try and recreate a senshi uniform. I FAILED: And that's about it for now. |

| Hey morpheus, do you use a tablet when you color? Also some hints, add shading. The color in that one is too flat. It looks like the brush size you are using is kind of big for some of the detailed areas too. Let me know how you do it and i can try and give you some more hints.
By no means I'm an expert either...I'm learning just as much as the next guy. I just like to help! |

| I do. Usually when I color my own pictures, I use sai, which is much better to shade with. When I shade in in photoshop, I use the blur tool to mix the colors together. The problem I had with the picture is that the layer with lineart had a white covering, which I couldn't erase without getting ride of the lineart (when I color, I usually use layers under the lineart so I don't erase the lines). |

| Yeah. I haven't used SAI for coloring, though I've heard it is good for that. See in photoshop, I turn down the opacity (like very low sometimes 10% or less) of the brush and i work with it like that and constantly brush over layers and layers of the same color. I'll also work other colors into it like that with the same technique. I'll blend with the smudge tool depending on the look I'm achieving. I usually do the more painterly look. If you are doing a more cel shaded look, then thats a different story.
Also with that one, what you could have done was use the magic select and then refine the selection so its not so rough to delete the white and leave the line art. I've also read that its better to color with an off-white. I forget why though. |

| Morpheus - Have you ever tried taking the Magic Wand tool and just cropping out all the white space to make it transparent, and then just creating new layers for the coloring and shading? It might help to do so, that way you're not erasing your lines and you can be messy, and then clean everything up without ever touching your line art.
You can also select the "contiguous" box so that you only select the patches of white you want (for example, only the white inside her skirt, and not the white outside of hte line art). |

| I've never tired the magic wand in that way. Probably back I'm use to delete everything on the outside of the lineart rather then the inside. But I'll try it next time.
Thanks for the heads up from both of you! I'll try it next time I'm messing around in photoshop~ |
