I'm not sure who was able to win the magical quill challenge and, therefore, gain an early entrance into Pottermore as a beta-tester. It should open to the public, soon.

Anyway, I did gain early access and I was wondering if anyone else is a beta-tester on Pottermore. I'd love to friend you, no matter what house you belong to! ^.^ Pottermore is so much fun, even if it has some glitches to work out.

Does anyone know the date when the site will open up to everyone else? The website only said near the end of this month. I'm so excited about pottermore! Is it fun? I hope I get into it right away because on the website it could take weeks or a month to get the welcome email. If that happens to me I'll be soooo sad

._. everyone else in my family is in on it, and though I was celebrating the week of Harry's birthday, I completely forgot about Pottermore, and so have been left out of the glory. They're all in gryffindor. ... I'm thinking I'll be a Hufflepuff, and they're throwing around Very Potter Musical "Hufflepuff? What the hell is that?" stuff at me. xD

I don't know what house I'll be in. I don't want to be in Hufflepuff. Sorry! That house doesn't appeal to me. Some one in my lab is in it and she said in the quiz you can easily tell which answers fits a certain house.

Yeah, I answered the quiz truthfully, because I was interested in knowing what house I would be sorted into if the opportunity arose. I'm definitely having a lot of fun. I wouldn't want to give anything away. Some parts of the website are not working correctly, but I have seen positive changes since I joined a few weeks ago. I hardly ever have issues logging in, anymore.

I got sorted into Ravenclaw...but haven't logged on in forever. >_>;;;

Pottermore is a new website for Harry Potter fans. I don't know the whole details, but what I do know is that when you join you get sorted into a house by taking a quiz. Right now only beta testers can use it. They want to get all the bugs for before lunching it completely. At the end of the month people who aren't beta testers can finally join.

Ooh I'm just seeing this thread. From what I understand, it sounds a bit like an MMORPG. Its an online way to experience the Harry Potter universe in a different way besides reading the books and watching the movies. I didn't know about it so I never knew how to apply for the beta. I really wanna try it out.

From my perspective (granted, haven't logged in since August so feel free to correct me) you basically stalk Harry Potter through each book. As you do you find various key items that reveal previously unknown and hidden tidbits about the story, chapter and/or characters. You did get sorted into a house via a quiz, so that was pretty cool. And I liked the spell and potions class. For me personally it was a bit of a let down. I was expecting a "Create Your Own Character!" or "Put yourself in the story!" kinds of things. Really the only thing I remember that you can sort of personalize is your pet.

Coming from an avid Pot-Head I was disappointed. It was cool to get all the extra info, but otherwise was a bit of a flop. But I've also heard the flip side and many people loved it.

I sadly had no internet the week the Quill challenge occurred, and when I did go, and find internet the challenge was always over for the day.
I cannot wait until it opens to the public.

Pottermore is finally open to the public. I'm waiting for my email to confirm my username. The weird thing is they won't let you chose your own username. I read the reason why is to protect children. I feel like this feature should be used to for people under 13. I'm almost 22 years old. I should be able to pick my username. -_-

I'm in Ravenclaw! I'm quite surprised. Then again it does fit me for the most part, but I think I'm a mixture of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Or maybe all three.

This is so awesome! However I was placed in Slytherin which is odd. Usually with those tests I end up in Ravenclaw.
