Appearance: Rei is short, coming in at 5 foot 3 inches tall with a slender build.  She has long black hair that is typically straight and not styled in any way.  Her face has sharpness to it that stands out and causes her to look like she is in a bad mood.  Her eyes are a dark purple and her skin is lightly tanned.  Her miko attire consists of long red hakama (long, divided trousers), a white haori (kimono jacket), and wooden sandals.  Her school uniform features a buttoned grey sailor shirt with a dark grey sailor color with a red bow, a dark grey pleated skirt, and black pumps. 

Appearance:

Personality: Rei Hino is a strong, independent woman.  She's adventurous and courageous, strong-willed and serious. Though she doesn't trust others at first, once she has she's also fiercely loyal. Her determination and sense of justice are admirable.  She can also be moody, short-tempered, impatient, and impulsive. Being a miko in a shrine, she has also learned to be very disciplined. The temple and being a miko are very important to Rei and at one time her dream was to be a Priestess.  Spirituality is very important to Rei which mixes well with her psychic abilities and even influences her powers when she uses Ofuda and can purify possessed individuals.  She is also very intelligent and ambitious.  She can do anything she puts her mind to, even if she sacrifices pretty much everything she has in the process. She stands up for what she believes in, whether anyone agrees with her or not. Rei can be stoic and serious, she is confident and believes in herself.  She can appear to be stand offish at times, even so Rei was still very popular at TA Private School.  Her serious nature leads her to worry about things, her impulsive and determined characteristics push her to try to solve her worries by herself.  Because of the disappointing example of males in her life, Rei has no desire for romance.

History: Rei Hino's mother died when she was young so her father left her in the care of her grandfather who works at shrine, so she grew to be a miko, and the father/daughter relationship became estranged. Rei awakened as Sailor Mars when people who rode the bus that stopped at her temple began disappearing.  She gets mixed up with Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury as they try to solve the mystery and they all get trapped in a different dimension.  Wanting to protect the people, her powers awaken and she defeats the villain.  After that she joined the Sailor Senshi and worked to keep the Earth and her Princess and Prince safe from all who would do evil.  Rei had to learn to work on a team and often pushes Usagi more than anyone to be responsible.


In her past life in the Silver Millenium, she's a primary guardian for Princess Serenity's safety.  Mars was the Princess of her own planet, therefore Princess Mars.  She resided in Phobos-Deimos Castle and her appearance was the same except that she wore a red floor length gown.  It is also implied during this time that she and Jadeite had some kind of attraction.  The crows that help the reincarnated Mars are actually two maidens from Planet Coronis.

Senshi Fuku: As Sailor Mars, she wears the standard Senshi fuku. The dominant color of her fuku was red while the accent color was purple. Her tiara gem, earrings, choker, collar, elbow fittings on her gloves, center of her front bow, back bow, skirt and shoes were red while her front bow was purple. Her earrings were five-pointed red stars, her collar had one stripe, and her shoes were red high heels.
Super Senshi Fuku: When she received the "Super" upgrade, her choker had a five-pointed golden star on it, the bottom of her sleeves became transparent, the center of her front bow became a heart, and her back bow was enlarged and lengthened.
Eternal Senshi Fuku: It is red and has lighter red bubble-like sleeves with red bands. Her choker is a "V" shape with a gold star on it. Her chest bow remains purple, but her back bow is a lighter shade of red. The belt is two shades of red ribbons with a star in front. Her gloves are now up to her forearms. Her skirt has two shades of red layered together. She no longer wears the high heels from both her first and super form; she now wears white boots topped with a "V" shape and a star in the center.

Transformed:

Powers: Akuryo Taisan - Sailor Mars caused the target to be consumed by flames. She could also threw an ofuda while yelling "Akuryo Taisan" to either immobilize an opponent or exorcise enemy influence over a person or place.
Burning Mandala - Sailor Mars summoned globes of fire to burn down the enemy.
Mars Snake Fire - Sailor Mars created a snake out of fire that attacked her opponent. This attack also appeared in the video games.
Mars Flame Sniper - Sailor Mars used the Mars Arrow to fire a flame arrow at her enemies. She gained this power after transforming with the Mars Crystal.
Fire Soul - Sailor Mars shot a fireball from her fingertips.
Fire Soul Bird - A more powerful version of Fire Soul that was in the shape of a phoenix, and was used a few times in the R season as well as in numerous video games.
Burning Mandala - Sailor Mars' upgraded attack that first appeared in the R season, in which she shot rings of flame at her enemies.

Mars Flame Sniper - Sailor Mars fired a flame arrow at her enemies. It first appeared in the SuperS season.

For personality, could you mention Rei's tendency to worry about things and figure them out on her own rather than burdening others? Perhaps also note that spirituality has always been a close presence in her life. You have already listed many of her traits, so you can make the section longer by expanding the sentences you have written, too.

For history, could you go into a little more detail about her past life, or tell a bit about the events that happened after her awakening?
