It is a possibility that Minako wouldn't have noticed Ami sneaking away, Rei thought. The science book is most likely hers, but that doesn't mean someone else couldn't have found it and used it on Michiru.  It's possible that the culprit used it to make it look like Ami had done it to draw attention away from themselves.

 


- Listen girls we can't stay here forever waiting for the next black-out! We need to come up with a plan, one that won't compromise us too much to the people responsible for this! You know who you are!

The camera spins a little around Makoto while she gives an Evil Look to a random senshi. Roll dice to decide, maybe?

- The way I see it we can either split up, or we can all go about looking for clues like one big group. It's dangerous to split, but it's also dangerous to go together cause then the enemies will certainly be with us.

Makoto pauses and closes her eyes, face down as if carrying the world's problems on it's shoulders.

- What's it gonna be?

So Michiru was knocked out with a textbook? But did Ami do it... or did someone frame her? And why is Makoto acting so oddly? Could she be brainwashed?


As the lights went off, Usagi grabbed Rei's arm. 

"Ah... Rei-Chan, do you want to help me search for more clues?"

 

- Ami, dear, YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!

Makoto gestures as if to grab Ami by the wrist. Regardless of whether she's coming, Makoto heads for the General Powder Room

Ami fallowed Mako rolling her eyes.not that she had any choice but to fallow the brunette since the girl had a hold of her wrist.

Minako and Haruka are in the Lounge

It was true that she was holding onto Ami the whole time like she said. But... was she sure about that? Could Ami have slipped away using some trick? Or was someone else trying to frame her friend? Minako's mind was working a mile a minute to process everything, but right now they had too few clues.

And then the lights were out again. This was getting tiresome. They couldn't afford losing a person every time they were plunged into darkness. Usagi was now pairing off with Rei and Makoto took Ami. Why does everyone keep wanting to leave me behind?! It was understandable that they each would want to be with their closest and most trusted friend, however, and she knew for Usagi that was always Rei and for Mako, Ami was it.

She sighed and turned toward Haruka. She would never feel as comfortable pairing up with an outer senshi, but at the same time they were also supposed to be more experienced, so maybe she was safer this way. So long as Haruka wasn't the one who whacked her own partner.

"So I guess it's just you and me now..." Minako said, then realized that might actually have sounded flirty. Well, she didn't mean it, but she couldn't help it if every word coming out of her mouth sounded flirty. "Ahem. Do you want to stay here or look elsewhere?"

Haruka still couldn't quite believe what she had been hearing. To think that all of these girls thought she was capable of harming Michiru in any way... She couldn't help but to think that some of them had jumped to such conclusions because they were the ones who were brainwashed.

Frowning, Haruka's mood only darkened as the lights went out. The girls were quick to split up once again, and Haruka found herself feeling slightly left out. Without Michiru, she felt considerably more lonely. The memory of Michiru's fallen body flashed through her mind. Dammit! She would find who did this, and she would make them pay.

At the sound of Minako's voice, Haruka's thoughts were brought away from her willingness for revenge. "I think we should move somewhere else," Haruka replied, a smile on her lips at Minako's phrasing. "Let's head to the Lounge and see what we can find."

Usagi shocked Rei and brought her back from trying to analyzing the situation.  "Sure, lets go search the Men's Room," Rei replied back.  "Sounds as good a place as any to hide a clue."

Upon hearing the thump Ami pounded on the bathroom door harder trying to figure out what was going on outside the door.

"Ami! Ami! Makoto's brainwashed, and she just knocked Rei out!" Usagi screamed. "There's a giant stool in front of the door, and Makoto must've put it there to prevent you from seeing what's she's doing!" 

She was about to move the stool, when she noticed that it wasn't by the door....

Usagi quickly unlocked the door, letting Ami out of the ladies' room.

 

Makoto was caught by surprise by a loud thump, by the lights suddenly coming back on and all the screaming. How could anyone have come into the Powder room without her noticing. Furthermore, how could fighting have gone on without her being able to interject? Rei's body was now on the floor, and Makoto face had contorted into an expression of semi-panic.

So shocked Makoto was, that she didn't notice Usagi setting Ami free.

Usagi had accused her of knocking Rei out. In revolt, Makoto said her own piece:

Usagi, how dare you! It was YOU who knocked Rei out!

She turned to face Ami, and said:

- Ami, don't you understand? I locked you in the ladies room to protect you... And us, if you were one of the enemy! If I hadn't, it could've been YOU on the floor now!

Makoto was staring very seriously at Ami in a plea-like fashion. She was almost starting to cry.

- These are desperate times and if we don't watch out this could be our last night on earth, I needed to do something! What good would it do to lock you up instead of knocking you down!? I even rolled over my wine glass for you to protect yourself... The Wine Glass! Ami, pick it up, we need to stop Usagi!

 

Makoto continued:

- Ami, remember what I told you! You have to be smart girl! How could I even know Rei was coming our way? I can't see the future!

"AMI!!!!" Usagi screamed. "Please listen to me! I'd already suspected Makoto ever since Michiru go knocked out, with her eagerness at accusing Haruka and odd behavior, but she just knocked Rei out! We need to tell Haruka and Minako!"

The lounge sounded like as good a place as any for Minako to go to, but it felt like they'd barely gotten there when the lights switched back on. This was starting to feel like a useless thing to do - this whole wandering around in the dark thing.

She was heading back to the ballroom when she heard screaming and such ruckus coming from next door; the powder room. Upon entering, Minako's eyes widened seeing both Usagi and Mako yelling at the top of their lungs, each accusing each other and pleading for Ami to believe them.

"What on earth is going on right here? Have you all gone mad?"

"Minako! Rei and I were on our way towards the men's room, when we decided to take a shortcut through the powder room. We found that the lights had suddenly dimmed and Makoto had placed a stool in front of the ladies' room. Ami wasn't anywhere in sight. We were going to ask her what was going on, but then the lights suddenly turned off, and.... Rei was knocked out. Once the lights came back on, I heard Ami pounding on the door of the ladies' room and asking what was happening, and realized that Makoto must've locked her in there... so Ami couldn't see that Makoto was going to knock one of us out."

She took a deep breath. "This might be really shocking, but it's the truth, Minako. You have to believe me!"

Haruka followed quickly behind Minako towards the yelling and screaming. She feared what she might find when she entered the room, so Haruka braced herself just before going in.

The scene in front of her was a crazed mess, and it was difficult to make out just what was going on. Haruka had entered in time to hear Usagi's explanation, but even that did little to make anything truly clear.

"Why would Makoto do that?" Haruka asked. Then it dawned on her what else Usagi had said. "Wait, what? Rei was knocked out?"

On alert, Haruka looked between everyone in front of her, frowning. It was difficult to know what to believe, though she couldn't help but to think that Makoto was acting really suspicious...

Ami listened really Makoto had seemed to acting suspicious to her to begine with. But she had pushed it to the back of her mind when she had gone into the ladies room to search for clues. the stool in front of the door after she had gone in kind of made her slightly more suspicious. Usagi though as much as she hated to think she would be seemed slightly suspicious to her at the moment to. "Mako had been acting slightly suspicious when I got locked in the ladies room but as I was locked in the room when Rei was knocked out I have no actual idea as to what happened." she explained to Minako and Haruka. Ami wanted to check over Rei before she decided if she would belive either Usagi or Mako or if she believed anyone at this point. Ami walked over to Rei and searched her for any clues as to what had happened exactly

Ami looked at Rei in confussion "Haruka, Minako could you check to see if there by chance is a handkerchif over there some where?" she asked turning to the two blonds.

The next blackout will start tomorrow afternoon. If you would like to try knocking people out, I'd start getting to it.

Ami took a look around Rei's Body. if she could find something anything that would explain things to her more she might have an idea as to who to go after. All she knew is it had to have been someone standing close to Rei that did it. she would tell everyone what she found while she had been locked in the ladys room later this was a bit more important. Ami continued searching around Rei for any clues.

Minako listened to Usagi's explanation, her forehead creasing in concentration as she tried to keep up. She realized Mako trapping Ami in a bathroom stall was extremely suspicious, and she looked at her friend doubtfully. Was she the culprit behind all this? And now Rei was knocked out too... things weren't looking good for her, especially coupled with her insistent accusation toward Haruka earlier.

"Mako, would you care to explain your side of the story?" she asked. She didn't want to jump into conclusions especially since she still couldn't shake her suspicion toward Usagi as well. This was starting to give her a headache.

"A handkerchief?" Minako turned toward Ami, curious why she was looking for one. Nevertheless, she looked for a handkerchief within the vicinity of Rei's body just as instructed.

 

- I already said it, I was trying to protect us! Besides, with Ami locked up, there'd be less suspects if someone else got knocked. Now we know it wasn't Ami, DON'T WE?

Makoto was now calming down, catching her breath.

- Think about it girls! It doesn't make sense! I locked Ami with a stool, but then the stool wasn't by the door anymore! Why would I lock her with it and then use it as a weapon? Someone showed up and took possession of it!


- Usagi - She said, now looking intently at Usagi - you wouldn't dare to say you actually saw me knocking out anyone would you?

- Come to think of it, you were with Rei. Maybe she found something she wasn't supposed to find?

Without further ado, Makoto approaches Usagi and starts searching her (Usagi) for anything she's carrying

"The stool wasn't used to knock Rei out Mako" ami said looking up for like half a second before she turned back to what  she was doing. Searching for that handkerchif around rei

The more that was said, the more Haruka distrusted all of it. All of the accusations were flying fast, but all they did was make the whole situation more confusion. However, it was Makoto who still stole all of her attention at the moment.

Haruka stepped in front of Makoto as she approached Usagi, becoming a kind of human shield. "Makoto, you need to calm down." Since the other girls were all searching for more clues, Haruka stayed where she was, waiting for one of the others to say when something was found. She, instead, would keep an eye on Makoto until then. She spoke to the other girls without looking away. "Maybe we should tie her up, to keep her from reacting so violently. At least until we figure something out."
