So, I've been asked and the answer is obviously yes, we are going to do the advent calendar again. Hopefully this will become an annual tradition here on GC  

However, there's going to be a small change in terms of how long the calendar is going to be. We decided on 12 days to make it more managable instead of the whole entire month. Because we're all going to be busy with school, work, finals, family and it just gets too messy and overwhelming to do the whole month.

So, for anyone that is new or didn't know what the calendar was last year: it is a thread we create where each day (possibly twice a day, depending on the turn-out) we update the OP with "goodies", such as bumpers, sigs, avatars, wallpapers, etc. that you, the lovely party planners make and give to the members that choose to participate in grabbing things from the calendar. Brit, SenshiRei, and I will be manning the calendar, rotating out/in the goodies you guys make.

It will essentially start on December 14th, 2013 and concluding on December 25nd, 2013. The final batch of goodies thrown up will be up for grabs until December 27th, 2013.

The deadline to turn in goodies you contribute is: December 10th, 2013.

I know finals will be coming up if you are in school, so my whole goal is to get you guys plenty of time to work on things before finals and craziness. The 10th is the "at the latest", but please do contribute sooner! Because the sooner, the better. In short: IF YOU ARE IN SCHOOL YOU MIGHT WANNA CONSIDER JUST DOING IT NOW! And if you are Brit: YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO PROCRASTINATE LIKE YOU NORMALLY DO!

Do keep in mind that this isn't purely a graphics give away! You may also have coupons in which you offer your services to people on a set couple of days! This can entail: you doing a coloring, you editing their writing, you creating a specific graphic of choice, etc. etc. You are free to use your imaginations any way you please during this month of giving.

As a final note: yes this is the thread you may submit your goodies given you partake. As of right now, there is no limit on how many goodies you contribute!

Bumping! I hope you guys have read this and are getting everything underway! Remember: if you want the calendar, you have to make it happen, like last year. Without you, there is no calendar!

Somethings I'd love to see (and i will also try to make and contribute): Collectible Holiday bumpers! Possibly one for each major holiday in December/Jan and a bunch o' cute SM ones of course.

Ringtones: I will make those as per usual. However, suggestions for some would be appreciated!

Mobile device wallpapers! I still use the ones we had given away for hte anni. ^^

(I would need to ask NQS for verification) Special Holiday Calendar Sprites! They would be for Lotus members only since lotus members are the ones that can buy as it is.

Maybe a giveaway of a collection of Sailor Moon images? or music? I could most certainly do a collection of music to put up for grabs, but its not like itd be anything you can't get from SeraMyuantics or SailorMusic.net.

OH, premade christmas cards or tags that you can print out for real life xmas gifts?

Those are ADORABLE! Great job.  

I think fan art is okay. It really depends on people's preferences, mostly.

I know NQS in the past has been against it unless you have the permission of the artist to use their work, but we have had graphics for events in the past made with fanart and its never been a problem. And we don't have any specific rules against it either. So there has never been an actual NO, but I think its just a courtesy thing to not do it unless the original artist is ok with it. ^^

also for graphic contests as well, is fan art ok? i'm not really sure using fan art for graphic contests are. it'd be good to know as well.

Well as I stated above, there is no rule that says NO. But personally, i feel permission should be granted from the artist. (Also lets keep questions that aren't about the calendar to the other thread. )
