Okay, I am making this thread to discuss the trick or treating idea as well as get those on board that want to make graphics so they can post them here (and get those that want to help hand out goodies). 

Basically, the idea is: 

We have goodies. Bumpers, siggies, wallpapers, whatever you guys want to make and give away to our members for the special event ^^

We have tricks. Funny little bummers siggies or just a message saying "YOU'VE BEEN TRICKED" more or less by a Sailor Moon villain. 

At a set time, someone will hand out a riddle by PM. The member will PM back the person that is handing out the goodie (or trick). If they get the riddle *right*, the one handing out will send them a link (a quicktopic link) to a goodie (so it's a surprise goodie and for added fun) or a trick if they got the riddle *wrong*. 

Essentially, the idea is simple and adds a small flair of surprise and fun instead of just handing the graphic over via PM. 

But we need graphics and we need volunteers to hand them out. If you would like to participate, PLEASE let me know what you wish to do. If you plan on doing graphics, please say so and post your graphic(s) here! Both tricks and treats.

Also can I note that we should have everything planned, set in stone, and ready to go by Oct. 28th? That way there is not last minute rushing. ><

I would be happy to do graphics. I've never done bumpers before, though, but I can try. They just probably won't be as fancy as the ones you all have. ^^;

I can do some graphics to it'll give me a chance to improve on my animated graphics. and I would also be willing to help hand them out.

Well...no they don't all have to be Halloween themed, but having some Halloween themed would be nice ^^ we had themed bumpers and such for our Christmas giveaway and it just adds the to the flair of the moment that is the activity/event ^^.

So as a 'giver outer', am I making up my own riddles? And are they to be Sailor Moon themed, Halloween themed or general riddles? And how do I decide who I am PMing? And for the trick or treat bumper, will I have a set assigned to me or do I just pick any? <3

Ah these are good questions

1) They can be a mix of all three. Just make sure to post the riddle here and the answer.
2) You will probably be assigned goodies ^^
3) People will actually be PMing you, if they wish to partake. If they submit an answer, then you direct them to the goodie they earned.

Could....  Could admins playing the game do an actual trick? Like... if the person got the answer wrong, could they change their avatar to something ridiculous or admin-flattering?

I think we'd have to double check with NQS, but that would be fun! Maybe sigs instead of avatars so that way people can just change it back on their own after the event is over?

My only hesistation with sigs is the coding on some people's might make it difficult to get everything aligned - mess up one thing and the whole code falls to pieces x_x   ^^' and some might not completely remember their sig url, heh heh, while their avatar pic is typically on their computers somewhere (yes?) (That or we could save it and put it back afterwards?)

I'm still up for riddles... Looking for a wee bit more clarification tho as to what my role will specifically involve I think?

I think we need to fine tune details on how people sign up for this, but the original post explains the process. Maybe we'll have a sign up thread for people who want to join the event?

Set up a schedule for the treat/trick givers to send out the PMs. You'll send out the PMs to the people who signed up. Whoever gets the riddle (or you could do puzzle or osmething really, just something simple and fun but slightly challenging) right gets a treat, if they are wrong they get a "trick".

That's fine, was just wanting clarification on how I knew who I was PMing and how/why I had to post the riddle here..? Am I sending the same one to more than one person? Or different? Do I need to post puzzle and answer here? Why? I'll be interested to see the timetable and delegation of who has what graphic etc.

I'm not sure why we had to post riddles here? Maybe for the other give out people to have stuff to pull from? I'm thinking sicne we don't have many graphics made maybe we could just grab and when you are done let us know what you gave out and who got what that way later on people don't get doubles?
