It was too short, but I loved both songs!! especially the second one 'We are the pretty guardians'    so awesome <3 I can't wait to see everything

I've only seen a recording of the "We are the pretty guardians"... tbh, I wasn't very impressed. Though I'm sure perhaps by performance they will be much better practiced and sound more in tune with each other. The Moon needs to work on projecting her voice. She sounds like early Marinamoon...

Also I think they sounded just as bad as that first Momoiro Clover Z performance on NicoNico...But I don't see any hate.

*waits for all the fanhate* :/

I want to say it just didn't sound good because it was live, but they're going to be preforming Sera Myu live as well :/ It was her very first real musical performance since she's never been a lead in a musical (correct me if I'm wrong) so hopefully this was a good experience for her to learn what it's like. I have faith it will get better next time

Yeah, I think nerves might have been a big factor, as well as towards the middle when Moon had her small solo part, I think she might have been out of breath? But that hopefully won't be as much of a problem as they get some more time to practice :3

But that Venus... I am totally in love with her. I watched her the whole time, she has these little smiles that totally scream Minako <3 <3 <3 She's awesome!!!

Jupiter also had some really neat moments. It felt like to me that Venus and Jupiter were the two most confident of them all.

It's still really exciting to get to hear the song! Can't wait for this Myu xD

I actually kinda liked the song but to me moon looked a bit nervous while she was singing a bit more so when she was singing solos but other than that with a bit more practice I'm sure they will be absolutely awesome.

ANd I would also like to point out that moon seemed to be singing as if she were inside where you get better acoustics and when your outside you have to judge how much you project your voice I personally hate singing on outdoor stages it's just so difficult to project  your voice enough so that everyone can hear you.

Its funny cause this is basically what happened to Momoiro Clover Z and lots of SM fans (not you guys obviously, I'm mostly meaning big SM sites and tumblr) talk about how much they suck and are outwardly hateful towards them.  MCZ was jet-lagged and tired during the first NicoNico SM event and they dance very actively during their performances.

It just drives me crazy seeing hte comments of everyone loving them, but then they hate on MCZ and the same problems the Myu girls had with this performance is the same as MCZ. *MCZ fanrage*  

ANYWAY, I haven't seen the other song yet. I liked the lyrics to "We are the Pretty Soldiers" they sounded a lot like previous Myu lyrics, but I'm not sure if I liked the actual music of the song. But I guess its going to sound different to fit modern japan.

Does anyone have a link to the other song?

i'm gonna watch again the performance, because it was lagging a lot for me, and some parts were cut.
BUT, from what i could hear, honestly?, i LOVED how they perform, i think their voices are in good harmony, it wasn't impressive, but to be their first performance together? i think it was really good.

can't wait for the dvd/cd of this, i'm SOOO gonna buy it!

PS: Venus and Mercury are my favorites <3 Moon need to work on her high-pitch-usagi-like voice, i agree it sounded so much like Marinamoon

I'm not hating to make it clear btw. xD I just think its unfair for MCZ for the western fans to complain but then "omg newmyu so awesomeyay".

i saw one of the songs, "we are the pretty guardians". it doesn't feel like sera myu. i'm not saying it's a bad song, but it's different. however, i didn't like usagi's voice.

So true. I also agree with all of you about how it was similar to MCZ's performance, but we all know MCZ isn't bad. It's probably the same thing. You can tell she has a good voice behind her tiredness/shyness/etc. So I'm still super super super excited about it SO SAD I DON'T UNDERSTAND JAPANESE SO I CAN WATCH IT RIGHT AWAY

Yeah agreed and I also feel the same as Mi. I'm hoping though we have a good variety of timeless songs like the past Myus. That was what makes the music of the past Myus so great, the songs are all very timeless and can be enjoyed by just about any generation.

I don't want old songs, the only one i would love they perform is obviously La Soldier, but if they have a new theme song for this musical, would be also good, you can't expect for them to "live in the past", olf course WE/I love the old songs,and they're gonna be in my heart and in my mp3 player for life, but it's a good change, besides, they're trying to get a whole new fandom and believe me, if they had songs with old beat style, they won't get new fans :/.

New things are hard to accept, but, also new things can be good.

@Brit: i get your point with moonies Vs. MCZ, and i don't hate them, but i'd rather have another group to sing the songs (like AKB48 or the legendary Morning Musume, not a newbie group :/)

I didn't say I wanted PAST Myu songs, just songs that can be timeless LIKE the past Myu songs. I want new stuff too!

Also MCZ is NOT a newbie group anymore. They've grown exponentially in popularity since SM fans first saw them at the first NicoNico Event.

I know Brit x_x! i think i express myself wrong. but i do get the feeling some moonies would love that, not saying it wouldn't be nice, but i rather see that on like on a special stage, not part of the real thing.

about MCZ, they might be popular, but their vocals are newbies, they still got a long road ahead.

yea she seemed a lot better by this point and I think she had also figured out just how loud she needed to project to be heard well this time around. and I love how the music changed as each Senshi sang. and Venus on her part just OMG she is so much like Minako I'm going to love her.

I downloaded the event from Miss Dream and watched it, and the girls say right before their performance of We Are The Pretty Guardians, that they are still practicing that song. And it was apparently raining and slippery o.o!! I bet that is why some of it sounds shake-y *nods*

The first song they sang, though I forget the name of it at the moment, was sooo great. I really liked the one a lot better. Each of the girls (minus Ami o.o who I think might be knocked out during this song in the myu? Judging from their comments after xD) they all had great solos with a lot of character, and it was a joy to watch <3 <3

Just watched the whole event from MissDream! I was really anxious to see Satomi in character as Usagi so I'm glad I watched it, she did a good job :)I'm sad though because her wig is AWESOME and I love how it's straight and loose unlike the previous ones but it's getting in her way too much so hopefully they don't change it

I'm also a little confused as to why Venus was leading the whole thing. Satomi even said, "Now I'll hand it over to Venus, our leader." I guess she's the oldest out of the five and has the most experience, but still, I'm not sure why they didn't have Satomi lead everything.

But the girls are SO adorable!!! I love watching their interactions with each other when they're talking about their audition process and everything, they're so cute ^^

Omg but I'm watching this like tearing up with excitement I don't know if it's because I'm totally PMS-ing or because I'm all emotional since my boyfriend left for school but I am SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm liking the second song a lot more. I'm digging that Jupiter more than some of the previous Myu ones! It was nice to hear them all sing solo, I think I'm liking it a lot more than "We are the Pretty Soldiers". Satomi sounds much better in that song and I think I like her singing voice as Usagi, now just to see her act as Usagi. The song itself sounded kind of like a "Choubi! Uranus to Neptune" type song, a bit upbeat introduction type song.

I personally can't wait for the villain songs because those are often the best.
