Well, I don't necessarily want one, but I'm curious to know if I am required to have a signature and avatar?

Honestly, Photobucket is amazing for avatars.
Type in your favorite Sailor Senshi and put "Icon" after it. For example, "Sailor Mars Icon" and you will get a few pages of lovely avatars to choose from.
After you select an avatar, I could give you a hand with a simple signature like mine if you wish.
Just offering a helping hand, avatars and sigs are used here for us to help recognize one an other.

Hello dear. You are not required to have a signature and avatar but it is always nice to have one. At least for avatars, it is sometimes easier to identify or remember your fellow members visually rather than with a name. But of course, it is always up to you.
