$68.00 dosen't sound too bad since most concert tickets go for more then that. musicals are a bit diffrent but that's the only compaice i have. but in yen it sounds like alot more. XD

I wonder if it's a flat price. I'm not sure about other theatre that hold musicals around the US, but in Seattle the price goes up the closer to the stage you are. When I went to see Wicked, my mom paid over $100 for front row seats. Though on a slightly different note I was actually surprised to find that the tickets I bought for the Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds concert were a lot cheaper at a decent seating because you don't want to sit front row at the Orchestra Hall. You wouldn't be able to see the orchestra.

My mother is a theater teacher, and most musical performances, especially for a licensed franchise, go for WAAAY more than $68 USD. So I think they are actually pretty cheap. Does anyone know how much the previous musical's tickets cost?

If I remember correct the old musical tickets were a bit cheaper than the current ones though exchange rates have changed significantly after the last Myu performance (in 2005) so we can probably never be sure about the prices. As mentioned, the tickets do not actually seem expensive considering how much musical tickets for licensed franchise usually cost.

In the past weren't there a lot more performances for each Myu? But this one only has 16 performances right? I hope they do more ^^

I think it is because this musical is more like a special 20th anniversary thing. But Osabu did mention that if the musical was popular, there might be a chance that it will not end there. I think that there is a quite good chance that we will get more performances and possibly more musicals. In the best case, the third stage will continue or this new musical will start the fourth stage.

I would imagine with the change in a lot of the production staff and the director being the one that did the majority of Anza's musicals, I would expect it to start a new stage of sorts. Its also being sponsored by different companies than the original Myus so it may try to be its own thing if it gets popular and continues on past this one musical.

I definitely agree with you and I am actually also very happy that we will get the director of the Anza and Fumina musicals. Seeing the musicals live again and starting a new stage would be a dream come true for us Myu fans.

I would love for another stage but at the same time I think I'm just a bit excited about a new musical.

Even though some of the staff were part of the original troupe (?), wouldn't this still be considered 4th Stage since it's a new production team basically.

I am not entirely sure about it but I think so. What makes me uncertain about whether it could be the fourth or third stage is that the third stage was never finished. In Japan the musicals were broken into stages by the producers and the first and second stage both had a Stars Musical as the last one.

Yes, the producer of this musical will be a new one. Most likely the new stage, if we get so far which I seriously do wish for, will be called the fourth one .

In a way it's kind of depressing how third stage only had two productions.

I agree, it feels a bit like the third stage never got the chance to be completed. But before we will hear an official word about the new musical's possible stage we cannot be sure if it will continue the third one regardless of the new producer(s) or not.

I definitely liked the set designs from third stage. It was basic, but unique at the same time.
