| Hello everyone!  I actually joined the GC forums a while back, but I forgot (silly me) and then I just got back to it yesterday. So my name's Natasha and I'm 19, I live in Canada! I started watching Sailor Moon when I was around the age of 3. And now I'm still obsessed with it.  I'm in university studying Psychology, but I'm also studying Women and Gender Studies. And during my studies, I've related a lot of the stuff I've learned about feminism to Sailor Moon. I feel like it's such an empowering show for women. There were all these other shows about Batman and Spiderman etc. But Sailor Moon really empowered young girls (such as me). Usagi was clumsy, boy-crazy, and funny. But she was still a powerful woman. It never really occurred to me when I was that young though  (obviously the intellect of a 3 year old isn't at that level). Anyway, yeah I just really love Sailor Moon. If I had to pick, my favourite senshi would have to be a three way tie between Sailor Moon, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Saturn. But honestly I love all of the characters and the show very much. It's so hard to choose. Soooo yeah I also have a Sailor Moon tumblr if anyone wants to check that out. ^_^ This seems like a great place to interact with Sailor Moon fans. I've never really gotten a chance to do that since all my friends think I'm silly for obsessing over a "children's show." THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND IT'S SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!  But yeah this is getting pretty long so I'll stop now. It's great to be here. ^_^ |
