Celebrate the birthday of your favorite senshi of fire, Sailor Mars, by participating in the writing contest! This writing contest will be a drabble contest centered on Sailor Mars/Hino Rei. A drabble is a short piece of writing, which tends to be approximately 100 words in length. But, there is no word limit, so let your creativity flow!

The usual rules apply.
1. No word limit.
2. Entries must be rated PG13 or lower.
3. Entries must be related to the theme.
4. Your entry must be a new entry created specifically for this challenge.
5. You may only submit one entry.
6. You may not show your entry to anyone else or post it elsewhere on the Galaxy Cauldron until after the contest is over and the winner is announced.
7. Sailor Moon themed entries are required.

Note: Voting will last for three days (May 20th - May 23rd). (It's a drabble contest, it's supposed to be short). All questions may be directed to Sailor Venus.

Entry #1

Rei was in front of the fire she had been having some pretty bad dreams and they were starting to make her lose some sleep. It was the same dream every night since the defeat of the Black Moon Clan. The girls were all stone and than they were destroyed and she could do nothing. Than their was the strange figure that appeared she had to be the Messiah their was no doubt about it. What she didn't understand is why the girl did nothing. Who was this Messiah? Where was she? Rei had many more questions for that but her fire readings just seemed to give her more questions than answering the one's she already had. When morning finally broke the girls would come in to find the girl right where she had been all night.

Entry #2

Rei couldn't believe the trouble Usagi had gotten them into this time. Usagi swore they wouldn't get caught and that she even knew the family. The only one who hadn’t went along with the charade was Ami who had gone out of town. Usagi thought it would be funny to toilet paper someone's trees as a funny Halloween prank. They were supposed to be rolling a friend of Mamoru's yard, but they had gotten the wrong house and here they were stuck in jail waiting for someone to bail them out. Usagi hadn't had the heart to call Mamoru because she was so embarrassed so here she was making that one phone call.

"Um yeah Haruka-San it's Rei and were kind of stuck here in jail. Care to come bail us out? Usagi got us involved in this whole mess with the cops...well yes Haruka-San I'm calling you because I didn't know who else to call....oh well call back when I have a brain in my head?" She sighed after hanging up the phone. She knew Haruka would let them all rot in there before she bailed them out, so she guessed it was Usagi's turn to face the wrath of her husband. She giggled a bit.


"Serves her right!" She said to herself as the warden led her back to her cell.

"Your turn meatball head! Mamoru-san is going to love this!" Rei said proudly as Usagi hung her head in shame as she walked like it was to her execution as she went to call Mamoru to bail them out.

Entry #3

Since I was a little girl… I was told to be still, to be silent and to look pretty. I was raised to be above reproach, to be admired, to be a lady of grace, beauty and elegance. It was a dull and unexciting existence… it was a very lonely life. After living with my grandfather I made two wonderful friends, two crows named Phobos and Deimos. We would play every day, and I could even understand them, hear them as if they were people too. When I told others… they would laugh and mock me. They called me weird and shunned me… soon even my father began to feel shamed. He called me a liar, he told me to grow up… but Phobos and Deimos were always there for me, and it was a little less lonely but still I acted as I was told and I stopped telling others. I was to be graceful, quiet and ladylike. Then she came and turned my world upside down. No longer was I the stiff politicians daughter. I was my own person. I was loud, and silly and I had never experienced as much fun as I had since she came into my life. For once, I was me and even if it were unladylike, I’d never stifle myself again…because she liked me and she liked my crows. She was weird, and loud and loved every minute of it and now, so do I. Now, I was a regular teenage girl too… well, as regular as a reincarnated Princess of Mars and Sailor Senshi can be.

Entry #4

Another year, another birthday. The days all flowed and melted within each other these days. Birthdays were hardly noticed, except for the fact that her hotel room in Paris was littered with birthday cards, fanmail, flowers, and little gifts. She had a concert the next night, however tonight was a relaxation night.

Rei sat alone in her bedroom, quietly with the radio on, thinking of her friends, smiling at the cards and gifts she had gotten from Usagi and the others. Tonight, she missed them more than ever. She remember past birthdays. One night a kiss stolen by Yuuichirou. Something that didn't last but still left a tiny ache in her heart. A more recent birthday, Minako had taken her out to dinner. It was a private night for the both of them. However, they had grown distant with both of their work, being idols and all. It was a busy lifestyle.

The radio played a song. She barely understood they lyrics a bit. Her English was much better now.

"Don't ya love her madly"

The line repeated several times.

"Don't ya love her as she's walkin' out the door"

Rei sighed and looked out at the Parisian night skyline. She smiled a bit and thought, yes she did. Rei grabbed her phone and shot a text to the girl that she loved madly. Laying back in bed, Rei closed her eyes, waiting for the reply.
