I think it would be cool if NQS or whoever selected an active member as member of the week at random. The member of the week would get a special thread about them with maybe a question/answer topic to get to know them better. The member of the week could also be made to fill out some special question survey so people could get to know them better. I got this idea from student of the week from one of my classes. The students got a poster put up by the classroom door about their favorite things thus the special thread. They also got to help the teacher during the week with her errands. Maybe the member of the week would have the opportunity to help out with some small thing around GC for a week? I just think it would be cool to maybe have it run across the top of the screen or be posted on the portal: "The member of the week is ________". That person might also be allowed a special signature honoring them as member of the week? A thread could be made for past members of the week with links to their threads. Maybe they could even pick a special sprite from OSA-P from the 100 points store? These are just some ideas and none of this has to even be used. I just thought it might liven up the forum some.

Great idea! The administrators have been tossing around a variant of this idea, but we haven't quite had the time to implement it. We'll definitely look over your ideas and discuss them further.

That's a great idea!! I like the thread idea where we answer questions and get to know someone. Sounds super fun, and it's a great way to get to know people better since we've gotten so many new members recently

Yeah, a thread would be an excellent addition, Boro. Perhaps we could also place a small feature in the header area of the front page.

Should we have one thread for all members of the week then? We could change the topic title each week but leave their post in the thread.

I do think this is a great idea, but until we can get other projects up and running I'd rather us not take one more ^^ Once the newspaper has had a couple issues out, I think we could possibly incorporate this. However seeing as how we have only gotten only ONE member of the month suggestion, I think it will need some work
