Signing up as Haldiel, Kathros's companion he met before venturing up into the Glittering Spires. Haldiel is the cheerful ranger to Kathros's grumpy warrior, who was raised in the northlands. Shoulder length somewhat greasy hair tied into a tail, chiseled features, lean, athletic body. He began adventuring when news of strange shadowy monsters lurking in the woods of the Lakeside Kingdom reached him, as well as a young girl who introduced herself as Sailor Pluto. Seeking the source, they traveled south to the shore of the Sea of Perils, where they met Kathros. Together, they've braved the misty swamplands far to the east, and found the culprit: A sailor agent of chaos! They were soundly beaten however, and had to flee to the mountains, where they met the Ice Dragons' king, Ithral, and pleaded for his help. There they were led to the ruined gateway Pluto once guarded, and learned from her still lingering spirit that the only way to win by themselves is to destroy the rift which brought chaos to the world. The spirit of the old Pluto, content with her "successor", then faded away, and after a thousand years of vigilance, found rest.

Now they seek the Holy Blade, and the Hammer of Earth (two dwarf crafted weapons: One enchanted by the Fairy Queen of the Distant Moon, the other given might by the raw magic of the world's depths).

This time the story picks up shortly after Kathros fell out of the sky, and was rescued by the Icelord. In the dragon's lair, Kathros finally tasted tea made by a sailor, and when the gate opened the second time, Haldiel volunteered instead.

Personality: traits and stuff
Haldiel loved nature since he was a young boy, and this trait carried over to his life as a ranger. He has become independent in time, and set up his watch on the Falwen Foothills, which overlooks the narrow shoreline where caravans go to the south every year to trade their marine goods with the Kingdom's dwarves.

He is a kind soul, and cares for his parents even still, and returned every winter to help them out before the storms come from the west and make travel between the coastal cities impossible. When he is on adventure, he looks over his companions, and often tries to cheer them up when they feel down. He relies on his knowledge of herbs to ward their illness away.

Although not a big eater, he enjoys eating carrots and dumplings, and his favorite dish is fried potatoes with butter and fish. He shies away from sweets however, despite Pluto's attempts to change his mind, which is often a cause of hilarious conflicts between the two that end up with them in compromising positions, blushing red like a radish.
