So I need some opinions, I found this image of Minako on tumblr and I was like aw I wanna color that.
So I tried to.
Opinions? Constructive criticism?

I like it so far maybe add some highlights to her hair to give it dimension and make you you make the area around her iris' white so you can see that theyre her eyes ^^

I probably shouldn't have done the bow. *sighs*
I wanna say it's done, but I want to do something more to it.

Ooh, it is coming along nicely! And remember to do the inside of her mouth as well, which should not be the same color as her skin. As for the eyes... I would create a new layer and start painting the white/grey of her eyes and try to take on the same shape as in a reference picture. Looking at Naoko's color artwork is always very helpful. ^^

I love when Usagi has white/silver hair. Naoko's earlier drawings had it, so I am not opposed to it. And artistic liberties is always fun.

I would make her hair a little lighter though in your drawing because her hair looks more gray than silver. Perhaps if you added some highlights it would create more of a sivery glow. ^^

Ah, yes, it is definitely more white than silver. I know that in the anime, they use more gray than white. So I would follow Queen Serenity's hair color as a reference.



Do you see how her hair has a tint to it? Having hair pure gray makes it looks old, but altering the gray with a tint of color makes it look more like a hair color than the effect of old age.

What color tint should I use? I know that Queen Serenity's hair has a lavender-ish color to it.

I would probably go for a light bluish tint. Always go lighter than what you think and make it darker afterwards.

Ooh your latest one is so vivid and strong! I especially love how you have the shade of red in her hair curl coil thingys (what are they even called? xD) I really like the shade of gold you used too! I think if you added just a bit of shiny-ness to her clothes since they're metallicy, it would make the picture pop even more!

The colors go so well together! I can't wait to see the final edits!!!
