| So, in answering the "Favorite Serena Voice Actor' poll, I watched bits and pieces from three dub episodes, and I noticed something. Those CGI/digital scene bumper things? Am I the only one who now finds them to be rather gaudy and jarring? |

| They are kind of, but that's how the dub rolls. I think it goes alright with the dub and all it's cheese. |

I thought they were cool at first when I was younger, but later on, I felt they were completely unnecessary, I'm glad they were'nt in the dubbed movies |

| I feel like they add to the dub's charm. They're pointless, but back in the 90s I believe TV shows had bumpers. Just like how dub added a ripple effect to flashbacks a lot of 90s TV shows did that. I bet if the dic dub it today the bumpers wouldn't be there. |

| Have you seen this killer fandub? DiC style, and they even use cheesy bumpers!

| Yes! I like it a lot, but at the same time I don't like some of their edits. LOL I'm going off topic now. XD |

| *In an impression of 90s Kid, complete with shades and backwards hat, with this song playing in the background*
DUUUUUUUUDDDDEEE! Those bumpers are radical man! The original animation is just sooooo boring without it, it needed more flashy effects and glitter, and DiC delivered man! They make the show so much more awsome! But you know what would have been better, if Toonmakers animated it! Then we would have had AWESOME SPACE BATTLES!!! With lasers and explosions!!! YEAH!!!
*Finished*
In seriousness, it was the 90's, and companies just simply enjoyed doing silly little things like that. They thought they where being hip and cool by adding CGI effects, which was a new thing at the time. The S and SuperS dubs only had them because they wanted to carry over a bit of DiC's flavor and make the transition easier for dub watchers. |
